I think the last patch actually fixed more things because I went to start the final fight with Cory again and there was a war table mission from Varric that had never triggered before.

I read that as 'Oh elf you Patrick!' and was imagining the wonders of it as a verb.

Guys I just realized something super intense. 

 

In DA:O in the temple of sacred ashes, Shartan's image says the riddle "I'm neither a guest nor trespasser (*AHEM*) be; in this place I belong, that belongs also to me." 

 

The answer to the riddle is "home" btw 

 

Anyways, totally unrelated to the Trespasser DLC? I think not. 

 

(btw I believe the theory that Solas is Shartan so that's why this is tickling my fancy so much)  

I've also read a theory that while Solas was Shartan, Mythal was in Andraste.  So if they've been friends at least since old elven times if not during Andraste's time too, why didn't he take the orb to Mythal to open instead of trusting it to someone that isn't of "his people."

 

Oh, and I found a way to play my elf inky without temptation to fall for Solas this time....in my head cannon unbeknownst to either of them, she is his daughter, wandered into the Lavellen camp after the long sleep not remembering anything and the clan adopted her.  Cole did say she was trying to speak the language of her parents, right?  

 

Anyway, that gives it a father/daughter yukky vibe bad enough that the way is clear for Cullen on this play through.

I believe in the whole "Solas is Shartan and Flemeth is/was Andraste" theory, too. It just makes sense to me in so many ways, and I feel like the devs were hinting towards that very subtly throughout the games. 

 

I can't believe you had to bring incest into the picture to stop yourself from going after Solas  that's hilarious 

 

If I made another female Lavellan, I'd probably have to do the same thing so no judgement. He's just too amazing 

 

btw when does Cole say the language thing? That sounds really interesting

Right. I'd be more disappointed by him being cold and aloof or just completely disconnected from a romanced (or even friend) Inquisitor. Even if it can never truly work, even if they have a couple of years separating them -- and allowing for Lavellans who moved on and don't care no more -- I want a good moment between them. Which is why I'm worried he'll appear at the end, spend five minutes indifferently answering questions and then disappear for good.

 

I can't help but think my Lavellan would be all, "I don't give two s**** if you're Fen'Harel, get back here and stand and deliver!"

I'll probably be terrible at describing it, but the first part is somewhere between 'way' and the ui in ruin. So "wayreb" if you're being quick and dirty about it, and then h'iril with short i. It's Sindarin elven, if that helps with the understanding. It's literally the translation of the meaning of my IRL name.
