I just realized that although I have made some posts here I never really introduced myself... sooo... Hi! *awkwardly shuffling my feet and waving*
I usually prefer to lurk in the threads, but you all seem like such nice people that I can't help myself!
I'm also Swedish, and mostly learned English thanks to Cartoon Network and constantly being exposed to everything American everywhere in general
We Swedes really do love our cinnamon buns, and for those of you who wish to try them but don't want to bake them I would suggest looking for them at your local IKEA store.
On topic, I belong (as of yet) to the people who are completely unspoiled, so I am really grateful that you have managed to keep this thread mostly spoiler free. Kudos!
I won't be able to play Trespasser until Wednesday evening, so I'm a bit bummed that I have to wait an additional day! Well, I will just have to wait and listen to Loreen and hope that the Egg won't break my Lavellan's heart!

Biscuits are not sweet, though I put butter and honey on mine. They are fluffy and delicious and made with flour and egg and water and some people put jam on them.
Scones often have fruit baked into them, maybe are glazed, and are a little sweet, sometimes. They are like little unleavened cakes.
Cookies are like...oreos. Chocolate chip. Whatever.
In America. Now I'm hungry.

There was a time it felt like the Solas thread was mostly full of Americans. Glad to see it doesn't feel that way now, people are coming for all around the world to worship the egg :3

I use Duolingo to keep up my Spanish. I find it hard to follow on TV shows, it's usually spoken waaaay too fast.
Unless it's an ASMR video where they slow down (they're relaxation videos). I can listen to those while going to sleep.
I use Duolingo as a key part of my Portuguese study. I also try to watch things, read Brazilian websites and occasionally, magazines. I just followed the Buzzfeed Brasil account the other day because it will give me links that are modern and simple things to read. I also use music for language learning. Disney songs work really well.
They're also very easy to find on Youtube. People make entire playlists or compilation videos.
Since we're talking language, I went looking for stuff like this:

We don't have dubs. Instead, we have this very strange thing called 'lecturers' - basically, one person is translating over the original language of movie or the show. That way we can still hear original sound underneath, but have everything 'talked over' with one, pretty serious voice
We used to have something like this more than now (and we still do on occasion) and it drives me up a wall because it is so distracting. Especially if I can understand both languages and my brain tries to pay attention to everything.
I disapprove of Solas disapproving the teaIf Solas dream world would be a world without tea... I'm sorry Solas, but we'll have to become sworn enemies!
I'm having more of the lavender earl grey I bought yesterday. Solas might be a bit confused about this one since it IS black tea but it's also wonderfully packed with relaxing lavender.
I hate to have to toss the packets the tea bags come in - they smell too good.
Though I dislike very large mugs and just prefer to make more if needed. I'm drinking out of a Rebel Alliance mug at the moment, though, aside from the pink ones that came with my dishes, a lot of mine are Disney or gifts from my mother, or both.

Urgh, I hate the French version so much!

Why do they keep saying "vous" all the time? I know in the old days "tu" wasn't as common as today but it doesn't sound RP at all IMO.

Ohh. I've made them from scratch for so long I forgot boxed mixes even exist. Duh.
I just had breakfast but now I want pancakes. Dammit.

Well, there's also German.
I can only seem to find Spanish subtitles but I'm curious what Solas sounds like in Spanish dub. I think it would probably be funny.

Talking about scones right about when I'm baking some!
Although, there are no fruits baked into them. But pieces of Salidou, which happened to be salted caramel bits. Totally unconventional for scones, but we'll say it's fusion food between my Scottish ancestry and my partner's Brittany (or Breizh) roots.

Indeed, I haven't seen a lot of posters from Asia, besides CapricornSun who is Filipino (if I remember correctly). Welcome around and please don't hesitate to post more, whatever your English level might be. English isn't the native language of a lot of us around here, so we'll get it and don't judge :3
(Pretty sure I made tons of English mistakes in my posts, pretty sure I'll make many more in the future, but nobody has been an ass about it yet!)
