None of my friends in real life have ever heard of this game so when the trailer came out, nobody could understand my hype. It's good to see so many people here discussing and sharing the hype.

Most of the time, people are much more worried about their English than they ever need to be. People in here are from all over, and good about it. And if anything is ever unclear, we'd just politely ask. So if you would like to talk more, go ahead!
Well, there's also German.
I can only seem to find Spanish subtitles but I'm curious what Solas sounds like in Spanish dub. I think it would probably be funny.

And I too have to look on the Internet to find people, either as hyped for this DLC or just sharing my interests - hardly anyone plays games here, not to mention large RPGs (or does artsy stuff... or reads comics... or else) - so I share your joy of finding someone who's as excited for more DA as I am 
Just to chime in - no one I know IRL shares or understands my love for this game and my love for Solas. My husband plays a bit, but is not nearly as invested in it as I am. Only you guys can understand.
And @ZhengAn, don't worry about your English, we are welcoming and you can learn a lot by practicing with us. If you're ever not sure what to say or exactly how to say something, just post a picture of Solas.

Same here. When I was at the Expo yesterday I ran into a DA fan who was also getting Steve Blum's autograph and she had the World of Thedas Volume 1 and the UE DAO/DAA like I did. We spent an hour in line just gushing over DAI before we met Steve. Best time ever and only time I talked to someone in person who loved the game like I did. We even knew the dialogue so well we were in sync when quoting it 
and her and her husband run an archery school and are going to teach me archery!

I have seen way too many native English-speaking people making the biggest mistakes ever while writing online (like "would of" instead of "would have", or getting tricked by they're/their/there you're/your. Among other things, like not even trying to write properly at all), trust me when I say your English is perfectly fine compared to that. Really, don't stress about it, you're good.

Here instead of "And right there and then, I felt the whole world change." Solas says, "And my world changed." Lavellan asks, "Your world changed?" Then he says something I don't understand very clearly, but I think it's very close to the English "A figure of speech." Lavellan responds, "I know, I'm more interested in my."
Also they address each other with a more formal version of "you" used to indicate respect or talking to someone you're not very familiar with. I wonder if further along they switch to the casual you.
Now I really wish there was a way to get a German patch for the game or something...
Ugh, worse is that I have no friends who have an interest in gaming AT ALL! So even just saying "oh, there's a new game out that I'm excited to play" or "I didn't see that tv program as I was playing a game" just doesn't compute with them. They don't get it at all. They'll happily spend hours talking about what such and such said in Made in Chelsea or Keeping up with the Kardashians (sp?), which just boggles my mind. Gah, each to their own. I really need to get out of my group of lawyer friends and make some gaming buddies.

I wish I could find these in more languages. Just out of curiosity. A lot of them are just English with subtitles. I enjoyed the panel last weekend when they talked about all of the localization efforts.
I don't understand any German other than a few random words my grandma used when I was a kid (her father was Austrian).

Lady Insanity aka Ashe put up a quote from the PAX panel when Laidlaw says that Solas will be ongoing so we won't get any closure in this DLC. I had a feeling he was the next Flemeth.

I rent my apartment from an old Chinese man whose English is more or less just okay and we manage just fine. He just brought me food. He introduced me to black sesame rolls. Food is also a good way to communicate.

Naturally, I'm out of likes. But this is what I wanted to do with Spanish audio if I could find any. I can only find the subs and subs can vary from audio (though I was just watching a video of Solas and Cole banter with Italian subs and they seemed accurate to the conversation as far as I could tell. I don't speak Italian....I actually tried to learn briefly, but I would always use the wrong accent since I already knew Spanish. But this is also similar to my current Portuguese study problem.
I tried looking up Solas related stuff from uploaders or from EA Brasil but it's all subtitled.

Also, I think I'm in love with German Solas. Bitte, vhenan. Es tut mir leid. *DIES* That breakup scene is every bit as sad and beautiful in German.

I am expecting Solas to be a Big Bad Boss in DA4 or DA5, and I am imagining a scene of him crawling on the ground, heavily wounded after an epic fight with the main characters. He will be murmuring something like 'lavellan' or whatever before his death.
