In case Trespasser goes completely ****** up, I have a backup plan:

BPl8TCD.png

Presenting: Allegra Trevelyn. aka. the only human face I have made in the CC which I haven't hated. I might play with her nose a bit more - I hate making "perfect" faces and like giving distinctive features, but it still seems off.

I'm going to get her to skyhold for Tuesday. If descent totally breaks my heart, then I'm going to romance Cullen for guaranteed fluffiness.

My hope for Trespasser is that I'm satisfied enough that I never have to complete this playthrough.

Well, I finally did it. I found out too much before I finished playing the game, particularly about our dear egg's romance. I finally got over my fear of hitting /that/ scene with my Lavellan. So much worse than watching another video, and that was bad enough the first time. Solas' face when he realises he cannot go through with it, and my quizzy's face when he left, standing there looking so hurt....My poor heart.

Hold me Solas thread, hold me......

nXM0YlW.jpg

shhh, it'll be alright. we're with you.

That misses the mark on the "excitement" factor for me, but your experience may vary.  @w@  No judgement.

A super rusty, way-too-literal stab at multilingual hellspiraling:

¡Estoy en espiral del infierno!

Sto a spirale d'inferno!

私は地獄の螺旋状にいます! (感情の地獄のスパイラルにいます?  感情の渦に吸い込まれています?)

Я спирали в ад!

!أنا الغزل نحو الجحيم (that.. can't possibly be right)

The language of Weekes-pain is universal.

Well the excitement is about the prospect of emptying your bowels preceded by intense physical pain (cramps) and fear (of not getting to the toilet in time).

Trust me, I'm not one to be overjoyed with the onset of acute diarrhea. It is weird that your comments made me think of it though...

I'm going to have to lurk here until the next game comes out. I am a Mass Effect fan as well, but only played it recently so missed the hoopla. Garrus being my favourite...I coped better with the ending of that game than that damn romance scene in DA:I. Even a Thane romance doesn't hold a candle to my heart like Solas does. He's my favourite character for the entire series.. I know he'll be returning but then I will be jealous of who the new protagonist will be.

On a side note, for romances. Do you think everyone should have a happy ending? Based on choices of course, of which some may be very difficult ones.  At least the opportunity of a more happy ending. Not suggesting marriage, kittens, kids and the like.

If I get a kiss, and walk hand in hand with Solas into the Eluvians or the Fade, and the only mention of my inquisitor in the next game is codex references and conversations with Solas. I can deal with that.

Guaranteed fluffiness...? Maybe during the main campaign, but we have no idea what will happen to other LIs or their relationship during Trespasser ....

In any case - I'm about to finish my Elisara Trevelyan's playthrough with romanced Cully-Wully, so I can let you know how this ends after I'm finished with my Lavellan.

If you want guaranteed fluffiness, Josephine is your woman.   There's no way they'll do anything to her character, she'll be the charming funny swan princess of awesome. I predict in Tresspasser my fem Trev warrior will marry her in a fairy tale wedding of which all of Thedas will speak for years. I will be using that playthrough to heal my heart after Solas is done.

How does a blonde-redheaded look like? My brain fails.

I can only think of strawberry blonde but it's not really strawberry-like in color.

Like this, I suppose: https://instagram.com/p/r9-vZ_Oitg/¯\_(ツ)_/¯

La Guerre de Cent Ans? :P

I see what you did there, and I find it funny.

"makes me a bit hipster." as long as you don't always wear over-sized glasses and skinny jeans, it's all good :P

I wear neither of those, but only because it doesn't fit me best, not because I don't want to :P

In Japnese it would be 'jigoku mageru' which is like... Hell being twisted haha. That's the closest I can think of a translation. ^^ if you want the actual characters, let me know but i figured you'd prefer to know how to say it

Damn, makes me think of that awesome anime I used to watch during my otaky days, Jigoku Shôjo. Art direction on that one was really nice!

I'm pretty sure Cullen fans would start an armed revolt if things went too badly. I mean - I think most Solas romancers have steeled themselves (their hearts... :( ) for the equivalent of a romantic apocalypse... I don't think other fans have prepared in quite the same way, and will likely be quite upset if things go too badly. I'm going to predict now that most other romances, provided the quizzy lives, will have a far better outcome. key to a good relationship is that you adapt to circumstance - I don't think the end of the Inquisition would pull Cullen and Trev apart.

Then again, that hasn't stopped the devs before.

Ugh, that dreaded feeling when you realise that you won't be able to finish the game in time! :( I have around 30 hours of playtime currently, arrived in Skyhold and am doing the quest with Hawke. I still haven't been to Halamshiral and have unlocked almost nothing so far. Also have to do the companion quests, too - I only started Solas' so far. Could someone help me out in telling me how I can finish the game the fastest, whilst making sure that I finished every companion quest? I'm Lv. 10, almost 11, and decided to become a Champion. I just want to be able to finish the game, so that I can play the DLC quickly; then go back to a safe state before the end of the game and do all of the side quest stuff etc.

I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat...and at right around the same level too. I just decided to say "screw it" and take my time as normal...after all if the DLC ending is too sad, I might not be in the mood to do another playthrough for while. My first playthrough was really quick, around 40 something hours, but I had to skip a lot of stuff. I'm tempted to come here on Tuesday to see spoilers, especially if there ends up being different outcomes based on choices.

You won't make it on time .You'd have to skip almost everything and rush the main quest ...

If you already finished the game once , well ask around for a end save , you can always change the Inquisitor face with the BlackEmporium.

Otherwise well just take your time , hide from spoilers and have fun , the DAI ending isn't all that great maybe trespassers will add something to the experience.

I had an almost complete save state, but that one went poof along with almost all of my other saves. That was months ago and I dropped the game because of it. Then I heard that Trespasser will come out and got back into it. *sigh* I just hope you guys here won't spoil everything completely, or at least use spoiler brackets for the first few days. Do you think I could finish it within a week or two?

True! I've been tempted by Josie on every single playthrough - I wish I'd gone for a warrior instead of another mage, now! I quite like the idea of a lovely knight in shining armour - literally - for her, it's what Josephine honestly deserves.

Argh, decisions, decisions.

If you need a PC save just to play Trespasser, I can always send my own. Won't be your decisions or world-state, but you can change the appearance with Black Emporium.

Has anyone seen these tweets? I am intrigued.

Mike Laidlaw retweeted Alli

Probably not that, but it MIGHT just be worth watching the credits for this one. Just maybe. A bit. Ahem.

Alli @jawsisinmywc
You know what would be an awesome credits scene for #DAITrespasser? @Mike_Laidlaw and @BioMarkDarrah revealing DA4 got the green light

I'm always in conflict with spoilers, mainly because I want to make sure everyone likes me, whether things can be avoided. If certain dialog leads to special scenes or endings...Then I also want a clean experience to see everything untarnished for the first time. You can only play something for the first time once after all.

I'm so sorry, I was in the same predicament a week ago. I had just arrived at Skyhold about four or five days ago, and after binge-playing for three days I was forced to admit either yesterday or the day before that I just wasn't going to make it in time.

Thankfully I had a less ideal Lady Lavellan x Solas playthrough where I made it near the end of the game, so I'll play the DLC with that playthrough and then backtrack to my "ideal Solavellan playthough" to play with Tresspasser on a later date.

If you don't have another playthrough with a later savepoint, it seems to me the main story is not that long if you stick only to the main story quests? (The ones that look like giant golden arrows on the maps.) Granted, you'd have to stick to the main story quests and avoid most or all exploration, side quests, and areas not connected to the mainly main story, but at least you'd get to the endgame in time...

(That is... Crestwood: avoid helping the villagers and go straight to the Warden contact. Western Approach: go straight to Hawke's and the Warden's rendezvous point, then go straight back to Skyhold to unlock the battle at Adamant Keep and Fade. Then go straight to the Winter Palace, then see the Eluvian with Morrigan, then go straight to the Arbor Wilds, then go straight back to the Eluvian with her, then trigger the final battle with Coryfish.)

It might not be ideal, but theoretically if can get you to the end-game so you can play Tresspasser.

That's all the advice I can give, because it's all I can do too.   :(

Iiiiiiiiii'm... not so sure. I mean, we have no idea HOW Inquisition would end - it may yet be all fluffy and sweet in some way, but considering that it's been described by devs as 'point of no return', in probably more ways than one...

That's easy for you to say; your Tevelyan is a human noble.

My Adaar is a Qunari mercenary, and the Tresspasser trailer shows armed Qunari assaulting Thedas and the Inquisitioin coming under fire by human nobles and Chantry officials. I wish I could stay optimistic about my Qunari mercenary being guaranteed a happy ending with the heir of the Montilyet family and estate, but I can't be too sure.  :(

That would be really, really amazing! I just want to play Trespasser with a Solavellan romance when all of you guys are playing it, too. To experience it fresh - without having to worry about spoilers I'd also be able to take my time with my own save state, which is something I usually always do. I'd really, really appriciate it.

I'm not sure I'll fare well if our romance is only ever devastating but other's end up with a wedding and all the happiness in the entire world.

Like if there's some "Yay I can marry Cullen weee'", here I'll be like:

Sure, I guess the most boring and overrated characters truly deserve a happy ending.

Maybe I shouldn't be so mean.

I would stay optimistic. There might be some special content and things will be extra-dramatic, but I don't see the dev screwing over an entire race of PCs whilst everyone else gets their happy ending. (Of course we might all get an unhappy ending, we don't know.)

No you're definately not alone! Sure! I think I will get crazy impatient come Tuesday. I don't want to know details, just like... whether there are various outcomes, or choices I should look out for (like if drinking from the well matters). That type of thing.
