They are starting to send out early spoiler warnings from the devs on twitter. I feel like there's a hurricane coming and everyone's starting to prepare for it.

I'm getting more and more amused by folks checking to see if it's available early. I did once, but in my defense it was really just so I could update Origin.

Editing to add two more amusements - first, I started hanging out here with less than 200 posts, and now look at me.

And second, I have an eggplant to make for dinner. I'm not entirely sure if I should take this as a good omen or a bad one.

I'll admit I've had it check for updates every now and then today

I have an xbox one. I've been checking since like, 2. Lol. I've been praying to the gods of Microsoft for two days straight.

So I was double checking if I'd finished everything for the DLC tomorrow, when

Spoiler

The horror!

I'm pretttty suuure I collected all the gears after finishing Descent.

*Sigh*

This is so fustrating, I'll have to change my headcanon. The 2 years between defeating Corypheus and the events of Trespasser were spent searching for the last 2 missing gear.

Josephine: "Inquisitor, I believe we should focus on more pressing matters-"

Inquisitor: "No!"  *stares frantically at the maps of the deep roads*

I feel your pain!  I ended it missing one gear in the Thaig, and one mug ><.  It's bugging me, but I am just going to live with it.  And those 3 mosaic tiles I missed.  *siiiiiiiiiiigh*

At this point I have to admit I care little about these tiny things haven't done/collected yet. I know I will very likely be replaying this DLC (I mean, unless it's so depressing I wouldn't be able to), so I'd collect these things anyway.

I'm a bit of a completionist.  It really is so trivial in the grand scheme of things.  But leaving stuff incomplete bugs the hell out of me! It's so silly, believe me I know.  Eventually I'll do the DLC again on another character and will be more mindful of what I missed.  Just for now it's nagging at me :P.

Aaaaaaaaand just got my Clan killed. Pffft, I forgot that Josie should never be the option when it comes to keeping Elves alive. The whole Wycome/Elves quest chain is just ridiculous though, it's like Bioware said;

"Hey, we really need Clan Lavellan dead cause, you know, killing entire clans is what we have to do for 'drama'."

"Uh, well you know that I'm all up for the mass slaughter of Elves but, we have to have at least some small chance that the players choice might save their family."

"Hmm good point, we are all about choice. Okay, well lets make it four quests long with a 50/50 chance they'll die for each quest. Lets keep the odds as nice and low as possible and then have no follow up whatsoever. Folk'll love it."

I would usually reload but I've already defeated Coryfish and I can't be bothered going through all that tedium again. Luckily this isn't my cannon playthrough or I'd be pissed.

Sing it, Sister!

(I seriously made the exact same mistake a few days ago; I also sent out Josephine who got my clan killed, I also didn't find out till after I defeated Corypheus, I also just can't face replaying the entire 5-hour endgame, and I'm also living with it since this isn't my "canon" playthrough.)

(And people here argued when I said the devs seemed to already single out Lavellan for heartbreak.)

If you want to save Clan Lavellan just check the wiki. It's easy luv, just reload to an earlier save and do it over again.

But... but... but... people shouldn't have to check the wiki or upload an earlier save (which can set us back many hours) just to keep from killing their clan.  :crying:

Especially not when every other Inquisitor doesn't have to do the same thing to keep their family and friends from getting killed. :crying:  (Because none of them do. Trevelyan never accidentally gets their whole family slaughtered or their titles/lands confiscated by, say, a rival noble family or Ventatori infiltrators; Cadash never accidentally gets her whole carta family arrested or slaughtered; and Adaar never accidentally gets her whole mercenary company wiped after sending them on a mission run.)

I'm a completionist myself. But this is why I know I'll be replaying Trespasser... :D

Genius, everything's, just. Genius!

And Viv's... perfect!!! I died a little XD

By the way, how the hell did you get that one handed weapon schematic?

That's like, 50 dps more than my axes.

Axe of the green edges. Best one-handed weapon in the game. Black Imporium schematic. Only leather offense slots. Major crit chance bonus. I'll throw some screenshots in when I load up the game. Also, I'd suggest pumping your best gear only with stagger for Cass and Backwall.

my stagger on being hit is at 97% (Helm, Shield, Armor)

Seriously my warriors are all invincible. Also, load your shield with 3 guard on hit and your armor with 5 guard on hit (the same amount doesn't stack)

I'm not saying we shouldn't ever be able to accidentally kill their clan, but it shouldn't happen so frequently or so freaking easily that the player has to consult outside the game to save them, and it shouldn't happen only to Inquisitor Lavellan when every other Inquisitor doesn't have to do the same thing to keep their family and friends from getting killed. (Because none of them do.

Yep that was me my first run of the game.  Yet another reason I had a do-over for my canon Inquisitor.  I used a guide to make sure I didn't eff it up the second time around.  When it happened on my first PT it was impossible to fix because my mistake was a war table mission before the last 1 or 2.  It was probably 20-40 hours of play time I was not willing to redo.  I was pretty upset about it.  It sucks how easy it is to screw it up.  I like that they had a pretty serious consequence to making a wrong choice on a mission.  I just think it should have been possible somewhere else as well.  Like one of the examples you just gave.

edit:  Forgot to say that I think the worst part of it was the fact that no one acknowledges that her clan gets wiped out.

Ugh

The game devs sure do love their jumping puzzles.

Please excuse me, I have to go to the camp to mend my broken leg after falling from a cliff while trying to get a shard.

On another note, the jiggly sound made while walking on a mountain of coins is so satisfying (found a hidden cave above a fade touched creature, Iron Man R.I.P).

Didn't have the chance to use KE after the update since I'm with my RM right now.

Right sequence = ?

Energy barage replenishes your counter about half-way. You have the choice of upgrading Spirit Blade with one of two skills. Defending Blade (same as before) or Amplified Blade (You unload all of your counter on contact). The Amplified Blade really sucks. The way the counter works without it, is it always unloads half of your current counter example, one hit at 50 drops to 25, second hit drops to 12 etc. This is great for controlled dps, you also don't have to worry about blowing your load on an enemy who's almost dead.

So instead of spamming spirit blade for example, you load up your damage.

Example: Energy barage, this gets your barrier up as well as your spirit blade counter. Use a fire spell (assuming you have chaotic focus which boosts your damage by using up half of your current barrier) I'd use fire mine, then fade step into said fire mine so the enemy stays there, damaging him in the process while loading up more of your spirit blade, Fade cloak, then spirit blade his ass and unload your counter. This equals murder to the first degree. No matter the enemy.

The build I gave you and the weapon type (Electricity) to use for Energy Barage makes sure you always have at least two elements the damage the enemy, no matter their resistances (also the superb spirit rune helps when slotted in said staff). Spirit Blade is also extremely useful against guard and barriers as well as elemental resistances, even if the guard and barrier damage was nerfed.

I spent 4 hours before work spec'ing my party and tinting them all in individual, mofo levels.

Cole has to be my favorite with 5 guard on hit for armor and both daggers around 415-420 damage with 10% chance hidden blades and insane crit levels. He's doing 3,000 crit damage on each hit and the rest of my squad is just "Do we even need to be here?"

Gotta finish up some last minute things tonight after work. *stares at clock*

Solas, could you change the thread title to include no spoilers? Just as a reminder for those of us who will not be playing tomorrow?

Also I'm terrible at building my companions. I literally auto level them, never set tactics, and just pick the highest dps for each weapon. I never pay attention to extras. I need someone to come do it for me.

I gave up when I couldn't find the last missing note on the wastes. I still haven't found all of the stupid gears OR all of the bottles or mosaics. I did all the quests though.

Hey, Mezamero is making her dragon age stuff into prints. If you don't remember who she is, she made this.

Anybody know where to check to see if the DLC has come out yet? People keep saying they're checking periodically and i'm just like "Yea, ok, but where?? I want to obsess, too  :( "

Is it the Dragon Age twitter or something? Is that where it would be updated? (btw I have an xbox one)

Thx in advance

Nah, the lack of reaction isn't fun. It was fun trolling at the time though. I'll probably swing after the DLC.

Just curious: is anyone going into Trespasser with Qun!Bull?

I have a playthrough where Demands is the last thing left before Doom Upon the World, but I just... can't.   I psyche myself up, run through the scenario to get to the decision point....  and suddenly I'm physically unable to click the mouse button over sacrifice.

This is my third time through.  It's getting ridiculous.   Somebody has to upload a Qun run on youtube, right?
