I got through Descent in about 5 hours and that seems to match the experiences of other people I've seen talking about it. It's going a bit quicker this time around b/c I know what to expect, though it's very different running with two rogues instead of two mages.

 

I'm only going to have one character with an endgame that is sufficiently complete to be able to run tomorrow. I really like that particular Lavellan, so I'm hoping everything works out in a way that I can live with. But, I guess if it doesn't, there's always fix-it fanfic. I suspect many reams of it will be forthcoming.

 

Yeah my latest Lavellan is my favorite but I hadn't done any of the DLC yet so I've been catching up. Thanks for the info. I have to admit I was feeling way more emotional a few days ago about our Inquisitor's story ending specially with Solas included in the mix but I've calmed down mostly and I just want to know what happens.

 

Whatever happens, HAPPENS. It was one hell of a ride but let's be real. The Solamancers experience tomorrow will be waaaay different to other romances. I know my Trevellyan with a romanced Cullen will probably not go through all the drama that awaits my poor Lavellan.

I'm also 90% sure it's not Solas. Just for character reasons. Far too sympathetic to others' suffering to be an abusive employer - he'd only react so unkindly unless it was a very crucial detail, but even then, I think he values other people too much to kill those working under him for their mistakes. It's partially one reason (out of many) why he travels and works alone.

 

Also there's the issue of whose vallaslin does Felassan have.

Yeah, that should totally make up for Lavellan finding out their boyfriend is actually an evil jerk and/or has a heartwrenching past and long-term mission that makes it impossible for him to be with them and/or he's over the relationship after two years and is all, "vhenan who?"

But I agree, it would be nice to see the different effects of the eluvians noted on companions vs. an elf Inquisitor. I like it when lore and continuity finds its way into the action like that. It's just too bad they didn't get elf eyes to glow in the dark. That would have rocked through the game, but then I'd have ended up spending all my time in the Hissing Wastes to see it. Probably good it wasn't included.

My Lavellan isn't an angry sort, but if we get a "vhenan who?" moment, she may be compelled to  thwap an egg.

Okay Solasmancers I have question for you lovelies. I just finished my Solas romance play through a few minutes ago and I noticed that his romance tarot card stayed the same, instead of switching to the Tower card. Is that supposed to be as it is, or is my game bugged?

The romance card stays for him. It changes for everyone else.

Not a bug, that's just how it is. Some of us believe it's meant to represent that we changed him permanently with our romance. He never turns to the "evil/dark" tarot card.

Nope, you're locked in, Solasmance doesn't get the Tower. Because it's not over ;^;  DLC will fill out how he means to explain himself, I imagine, for better or for worse.
