At this point, I'm almost convinced it's Solas. It's got to be. Blackwall is too similar to Cullen (not really, but at least on the surface: both are human male warriors). It'd be like having Cassandra and Aveline both as romances--they're different characters, but on the surface too similar for the casual gamer.

I feel really bad for the Varricmancers, the one positive I'm taking from the situation is that obviously Solas's chances have now increased, after the Varric announcement. I really hope Solas is in and I hope Mike gets a post up detailing who the last two are, and their sexualities, + the gating info, so that this will all be over!
Updated OP with a tweet of Patick's saying Solas is not Dalish (no vallaslin) and saying he was mentioned in the Swedish article. If there's been other recent news that I've missed just let me know, thank you.

About the Varric thing: I'm actually a little surprised. I thought, because he is such a fan favorite, that he was going to be an LI. I mean, it looked like they were catering to the fans of previous games (coughCullencough) *sigh* Still, I just want Varric to be happy. To the people who wished for a dwarf romance, I AM SO SORRY!
