What's funny is, is that for all my talk of romancing only Dorian, I am so enthralled by all three choices that I will more than likely end up romancing the first one I have a serious conversation with. Dorian, Solas, Iron Bull, it's all up to fate now. I think it'll mainly depend on who I pick up first.

Watching game play, it looks like Solas will be the first mage we pick up. When they were switching between companions, I can't remember if IB was there.

For my first one, I'm torn between Josie and Cass, though I'm slowly learning towards the former (even more after her ice bucket challenge video when she talked as Josephine), but I'm interested in all the characters in the Inquisition. I'll probably romance everyone...though it'll take me a while .

Solas is awesome, by the way. I think that he'll be the first mage to be recruited, since I think he'll teach the PC About his/her powers.

I too think Solas is our first companion besides Cassandra and Varric, which makes me very happy!

 

He's also going to come to us apparently. We won't have to go looking for him.

Yeah, since apparently Solas comes to us, I can imagine we get him early. We encounter Dorian when seeing the Venatori, and then Viv will probably throw us a party once we make a name for ourselves and catch her interest.

I think that the devs just don't want to give us the satisfaction of being right.  Most people having been thinking Solas and Viv are the last two LI's for some time now.

 

Viv just makes sense based on the numbers, and Solas always made sense based on his race. 

 

The marketing team makes those decisions, not the devs.  I think there are at least a few devs who would have told us by now just to shut us up.

Iron Bull was not.  Varric, Cassandra, Blackwall, Cole, and Solas.  If the demo accurately represents who we would have at an early level (and it might not), then Solas will definitely be first mage.  It makes sense if he's the one who teaches the Inquisitor how to use their magic Fade hand to close rifts like we've been guessing.

Eeeee yeah I'm used to keeping things separate so it scared me when it seemed like the two worlds were colliding.  I mean, my immediate family is aware of how I am about this stuff (for the most part) but my in-laws aren't and they already treat me like I'm weird/crazy

Yeah... sometimes things are best left unknown by family. Only my sister knows that squawking (and whatever odd noises I make) probably equals Solas news. Yeah... I... just... would either embrace it or quickly run off to another account.

 

Several days, but I am going out today so I won't get much done. Is your name really Lspan an not Ispan like I've thought all this time?

oh my glob, I never clarified if it was an L or I. (It shows up as an I for you?) I just assumed L for some reason and then jumped to life-span or something and was good ever since. WHOOPS!

That's what I was saying about the demos not necessarily accurately representing which characters we would actually have before level ten.  We know that Solas comes to the Inquisitor and that one little clip in one of the trailers looks like he's showing the Inquisitor how to close rifts, so he would be very important to meet early on if that's true.  Vivienne throws a party for the Inquisitor, so meeting her would probably come after the Inquisition had earned a certain degree of prestige/power.  No clue on when Dorian might make an appearance.

We don't know at which point we were in the PAX demo, but we weren't really at the start to the game. We already established a keep in Crestwood (which we don't know when we can do it), and as we know we recruit Vivienne when she invites us to a party. Solas would've likely come to us before.

Yeah they could have just not been ready to show Solas just yet last year so he could be(probably is) the first mage to appear. Ugh come on November...I gotta say this is the first time I can't wait for my lil brothers birthday which is November 12th that's less than a week before it comes out. lol 

 

EDIT: Oh man I sound like a bad sister now...I'm a good sister honest, I helped raise him growing up!

So, I was looking around the forums for a bit and found something rather peculiar.... A thread about whether or not Tranquils could get drunk. So... that brings up the question that every single one of us want to know...

 

What is Solas like when/if he is drunk? I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before, but we might as well talk about something while we wait for more romance news...

I'm not sure! Due to his isolation, I think he'd probably a bit of a light-weight, probably my level of light-weight. (Two Mike's Hard Lemonaids and I am wibbly-wobbly. I am not a drinker at all.) I imagine he'll be the stoic type, but flushes really badly. So he won't act overly drunk, maybe a little loud, maybe a little slurred, but the big flashing sign that he's soused is that he's redder than a ripe tomato.

I think Solas is pretty calm and rational even when he's drunk, just a bit more relaxed, a bit more outgoing, more easily distracted and probably more easily amused. 

I can see him being pretty nice company to get drunk with. He won't be the obnoxious type of drunk.

I've come back to give you guys cute headcanons! I was thinking about Solas and lady inquisitor having a baby and being absolutely adorable together, then this dialogue came to mind!

Solas: She's just so beautiful... She has your bright eyes and button nose. //smiling as wide as he can.

Now I shall roll into the sunset and continue to headcanon adorable things.
