I haven't been here in forever but that was some good DLC!
SpoilerAre we sure that is exactly what those artifacts did? They could very well have been the beginnings of his plan! >.<
Also my opinion on the whole thing-
On to the Solas bit of things, I actually really liked how things went. Every time someone mentioned Solas I'd pick the "I don't want to talk about it" options because my inky was bitter as hell. For Blackwall Thom's question my inky said she hoped Solas was dead.
Flash forward, the Viddathari explains Solas messed up her plan and involved the inquisition more or less. I picked the romance option, and like one minute after Lavellan yells he's a traitor, she's basically swooning for him again. And then pretty much everybody disapproved except for Cole. I had a very good laugh at that. I could imagine all of them facepalming haha.
I was hoping there'd be an option to punch or slap Solas because that seemed like my Lavellan's mood, but being able to pick the angry options while keeping the romance was also cool. In the end I figured she'd try to talk him out of it instead of swearing to kill him, except that she was mad all the time now. Seeing Solas in pain also helped a bit, didn't quite feel like punching him anymore. ![]()
Also it seemed to me that disbanding the inquisition was the better option if you want to successfully do something about Solas here. With a big army you might be more prepared, but if some of his spies are in there, then what's the point? You can't really catch somebody who is always one step ahead of you.
Anyway, this got me really hyped for the future of the franchise. I kind of wish they would release the game as more episodic content so we wouldn't have to wait so long between each installment, but as long as Bioware takes their time and produces more high quality stuff like this and lets us redeem Solas, maybe!? I'll wait!
