Or Eredin. OH WAIT...
Why not Avallac'h ? Seriously, the Aen Elle are probably the most advanced Elves in fantasy. They have genetic engineering and inter-dimensional teleportation and who knows what else.

Or Iorveth.
IOOORVETH.
He could be my archer while Sera is busy pranking people at Skyhold.

I would definitely accuse Sera of being a squirrel and hand her over to Roche. ![]()

About the one thing that happens near the end...

I guess this is why I like Elves.
I will now make a confession that I have not made anywhere else (you all should be honored !) and it is this:- I have never really felt a very strong human bond with a lot of other humans and I find it hard to relate to many other humans. In fact I tend to call humans sometimes for no reason, as ****** Sapiens as though I am something else, something different. (Why the f**k is the work H**o censored ?! Bioware this political correctness is crazy)
I do not hate other humans but I am indifferent to them. I prefer books, gadgetry, knowledge, toys, cats and dogs over people, you know ? I like some people but the circle is small and the people are like are in some way, like me. They share a hobby with me or a philosophical viewpoint or a cause of sorts. Otherwise I am indifferent. Polite but ultimately indifferent.
It also helps that I am 5'5" / 1.65m in height and 127 pounds / 58 kg in weight. So I am short and thin, not tall and muscular like other men. I do have lots of hair though, comes with being an Asian Indian.
That is why I think I like playing as an Elf in fantasy games. Because they are indifferent introverts who prefer to pursue scholarly pursuits or artistic pursuits or what have you and because they are not big buff people.
That's very interesting. ![]()
I don't blame you for not feeling too invested in humans, and in some ways I relate. I was raised in a small farm where I interacted with animals more often than people. My parents weren't the most social members in town, nor interactive with their children. My mom worked long hours and my father often stayed glued to the television, leaving me to wander around playing with the animals. I also joined preschool and kindergarten later than other children, and didn't have many cousins or siblings or neighborhood kids to play with. My mom sometimes wonders if I wasn't "properly socialized," and I probably wasn't.
I learned to relate to dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, horses, and other animals on an interpersonal level before other human beings; their body language, emotional signals, wants and interests (usually food, though also petting and playing), etc. I learned to relate to them as fellow living beings before other humans my age, in preschool and kindergarden, and I've never fully adjusted to being around people since.
Sometimes, I feel a bit disconnected from the human race too. Sometimes, when I've been away from people so long that my body language in their presence becomes rusty or I've even forgotten how to exchange a dialogue, I find myself thinking, "People are weird," "Humans are strange," or even, "I don't understand humans!" almost as if they're another race. (I know y'all aren't. I still love you!)
In some ways being around people still feels like speaking a foreign tongue while being around animals is like speaking a mother tongue; it feels much more comfortable and familiar.
In appearance and personality, I guess I'm also closer to elves than humans. I'm slim and slight, and I love animals and nature, introversion and intellectualism, art and poetry and mysticism more than... whatever it is most people like... All that great elfy stuff. I guess I relate to the nature and art side of elves more than the introversion and intellectualism, but it's one and the same.
I still hear people dismiss elves as "tree-hugging hippies" and think, "and that's a bad thing?"
I guess, kind of like you, I relate to the aspects of elves derided by popular society more than the aspects praised by popular society itself, so... go elves!
I am currently analysing all of the companion's talks featuring Solas and...damn, the one if the Inquisitor romances Blackwall hits hard!
Thoughts under the spoiler cut, btw. Because, well, Trespasser spoilers.

Very good find, but I'd recommend putting the banter under spoiler tags as well, particularly with the underlined bits. Better to be safe than sorry. ![]()

No problem, I did that. I actually tried to do so, but must have misplaced the spoiler tag in my frantic search for more hints. There is a TON more to find. Solas' talk is just dripping with information.
