I'm pretty excited about the prospect of going to tevinter as well. Real curious to see what sorta plot they do there. What if we can play a elf slave and theres some kinda of slave uprising/rebellion in tevinter we can participate in. What with elves leaving and things changing? That'd be interesting.
So far it's a bit better. I stick to this thread, and hope people will calm down eventually, myself included.
Ah it's been a tough road as a Solas fan.
First we defended him from the Bald haters.
Then the elf haters.
Then the 'I can't deal with a character that dumps you' haters.
Then the 'He gave his orb to Cory' haters.
And now we are rewarded with.. Well. Balls.
I don't give a toss if liking this character makes me the spawn of all evil. I love a good antagonist and I really hope we get the greenlight to see more of him.
He can't go before I have more lore anyway. I NEED TO KNOW MOAR. Like.. The whole Chantry religion and the Maker.. What even is that now.
And dwarves.. I need to know more about the dwarves.
And the dragons.
Spoiler
Didn't Yavana say Dragon's ruled the sky before the Veil? Soooo, a world of immortal elves and dragons? Super!
Solas really isn't selling that world to me much. I know current Thedas is a disaster, but Veil free Thedas just sounds like Tevinter, but with more emotion..
.. His reference to you being like tranquil honestly just makes me imagine everyone was really emotional beforehand

You're onto something. I want to know now.. I know next to nothing about the chantry, but I doubt divines have anything magical about them. Cory might have targeted her to destabilize Orlais.
Who was the master he referred to when he told the inquisitor how he was going to remove the anchor? Dumat? If so doesn't that put Dumat at odds with Solas? Then why did Mythal want to save another old god..
Spoiler
I also haven't heard of anything magical about Divines. Maybe because she's head of the currently dominant religion in Thedas, there's special symbolism in Cory using her to rise to godhood.
Now another Justinia related thought: She remain physically into the Fade and then there was this creature made of light taking her form. So could this be what happens to mortals who get into the Fade physically? They could turn into some kind of spirit? Could this be what will happen if the Veil is destroyed? I'm sure there'll be chaos and mayhem and most people will die, but maybe some will become spirits?
And that brings my thoughts onto another question: Did humans exist before the creation or the Veil or did they come after it? There are human mages, so humans must have some connection to the Fade also? Were there immortal humans just as there were immortal elves?
Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV, and the radio
Still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy someone say
Where is the life that I recognize?
Gone away
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well now prides gone out the window
Cross the rooftops, run away
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy someone say
Where is my friend when I need you most?
Gone away
But I won't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and greed
Fear today, forgot tomorrow
Besides the news of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
(Just blown away)
And I don't cry for yesterday
There's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way
To the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Every world is my world
(I will learn to survive)
Any world is my world

Every world is our world

So many questions!
Spoiler
Since human seems like they've migrated from another continent, might be that they evolved in parallel to the elves, but more connected to the waking/real world than the elves and so they weathered the veil better?

I had to play through it again last night, so I did it twice yesterday... I was so very very sad last night..
Spoiler
I have been since Tuesday night. I'll be the first to admit that my feels don't manifest very intensely but they last for very very very long time. Still trying to process this.

I have no likes but I love this song. It really applies.

For me, it's both intensely and last for a long time.
Could this be related to Solas' (stupid, ridiculous, mostrous, sad, misguided) plan somehow? I always thought the line in bold sounded weird - you can't change the past.
Well, here's the jam: ALL the elvhen gods (with the exception of June) have NO hair on their heads and NO facial hair in their artistic depictions. Andruil (a woman) is depicted with NO hair whatsoever in either her statues or mosaics. Ghilal'nain who is said to have flowing white hair and be the most beautiful woman alive? Bald in her mosaics. Sylaise? Bald. Mythal? Bald. June? Beard.
The new mosaic with Solas as Fen'Harel had his upper face and head covered with a wolf pelt. And the mosaic in the crossroads that showed a god with a golden hand and another god holding a green orb with a gold halo? Both different entities, both bald.
Spoiler
Maybe elven mural artists were all like "Awww fck this, their hairstyles are way too complicated to paint, they'll all be bald as balls". I can feel them.
But I'll keep headcanoning Solas bald. I really don't like any hair on him. Not on other gods, though, I really hope they're not bald as well.

But you and everyone manage to put such an optimistic spin on everything. And I desperately want to be in that boat, but I'm grim and fatalistic. Soo, it's been tough.
