Weird.  I WANT that option since it's blindingly obvious between all the murals and Viddasala's lines that Solas is Fen'Harel.  But I never got it either.  Maybe you have to both be an elf and drink from the Well? 

 

Nope.  I had both.  Pretty sure I didn't get that line (but it was about 3am by the time I was at that part so... maybe?)

 

Look, if the army of Talas could work out their differences and coexist, you can too.

That...actually makes a lot of sense.  I remember a while ago when we were all speculating on the purpose of the orb.  I thought it was just a very powerful battery, but I'm starting to think that's not the case.  Corypheus clearly understands what the Anchor is used for, though according to Solas's line, even Corypheus would have eventually died from it.  So maybe Fen'Harel's orb is intrinsically linked to the Veil, and specializes in mending/breaching the Veil.

And we still don't know just how he created the Veil in the first place, but the orb and its connection to the Veil, as well as Solas' Rift Mage specialties, well, these all do make sense. We knew it was no coincidence that he was the one to stabilize it and prevent it from killing you in the first place, which he had to cover his tracks on. But now even that part is clearer, since he knew what he was dealing with, and we also know Corypheus wasn't stumbling either.

 

I do kind of like how Corypheus inadvertently saved Thedas, at least for now. Delaying these plans. Another flip, but one that I do hope leads to enough influence and experience in Solas to let us make a difference somehow.

Ahaha! My Lavellan is called Lenalas. Child Dirt -> Child of the Dirt. Which, looking back at the things that Solas wants to do and what our Lavellans try to do, pretty much binds her to the world just fine. But Revas is a great name, too!

The sheer number of Cole fans (mainly on tumblr rather than here) who hate Solas. Do they ever listen to Cole talking about Solas? He's a one-spirit cheer squad for the elf!

Not sure how behind I am in this string...but I've been nursing a terrible thought on this.

Lots of really intense spells require blood sacrifice. I think Dorian even mentions it at some points.  About how blood magic gets you further. It's bad of me to think because I want to believe the best for Solas.  But what if the plan to bring back his friends involves him getting rid of the other elves as a sacrifice?  It's a fear thought that I'm hoping is wholly unfounded...but it's niggling at the edge of my brain.

Oh hell... I hadn't thought of this. It makes awful sense. What if all those elves going to him, unwittingly become the sacrifice needed? Solas would truly become a monster, even before bringing down the veil. That makes some horrible sense with him saying he doesn't want to to see what he will become -- a monster just as bad, or worse even, than the enavuris ever were. With the veil in place, Solas is also cut from his entire powers so it might well be the only way to bring about his plan. My heart has literally jumped into my throat before dropping to my feet reading this. Don't destroy everything that is good in yourself. Solas!

In the videos I've seen so far with an elf Inquisitor, I've never seen the option for Lavellan to point out that Solas is the Dread Wolf.

Well now I'm pissed, because I CLEARLY want that option. My Lavellan figured it out before meeting him as well, and wanted to confront him about it.

Could it be, that you needed to unlock all of the Fen'Harel puzzles in the game in order to get it? I know I missed on one because I couldn't for the life of me find stupid Veilfire, and wanted to meet Solas ASAP.

Well, I certainly didn't have that option. I was happy to see all those clues and figure she'd be putting them together, so I wonder what that option leads to.

I wonder if they ever bring them together or ever figure out who Cole is referring to. Cole greatly approving with the heart option and Cole explaining things in his Cole way made me feel better.

Did the ending reunion with Lavellen as well as the dream seem so fanifc and been there done that already that the impact felt less? Not a huge less, but more like... eh... that's what I thought would happen. I read this over 2 months ago already kind of less?

 

i sort of thought that too- it felt very tagged on, but it's more official now since they did that. *i mean specifically for epilogue
