Cullen romance DLC spoiler

I wrote a fanfic about Cullen, My Surana warden and my Julianna Trevelyan several months ago. At the end he asks Julianna to marry him. I think it's so perfect that they really do get married. I'm looking forward to playing that playthrough almost as much as my Lavellan/Solas one. At least my heart won't be shattered at the end.

Now I can't stop thinking about it. My belief is that the anchor is no more. Justinia from the fade and Corypheus both said there was no way to get it out and still use it, so the best Solas could do was prevent the Inquisitor from dying while it finished burning itself out. Now, we know of one other group to enter the fade physically : The Magisters (and it's strongly hinted in DA2 that they did sacrifice on a massive scale in Kirwall to do so). Solas' best hope at this point is to replicate the magister's ritual. I hope... hope so much that I'm wrong, but I frankly think AutumnOracle hit the nail on the head there. If we're NOT wrong, I hope he can be stopped before he puts his plan into action. Our best hope is that it could take him a few years to prepare. Might be why we go to Tevinter next too. Who best to have infomration on what the magisters did than the Tevinter?

Aaaah, that's probably why Corypheus performed his attempt at the Conclave - that magnitude of sacrifice was needed to create the Breach. Oh God *flails*. If Solas does that, there is no saving/redeeming him whatsoever You don't come back from doing something like that. Ack, I don't want to feel like this for the next 4 years, I'll be dreading the next DA game at this rate!

I still believe that the whole destroying the world is NOT Literal , more like he knows what will happen , imagine the elves getting their power back. Tevinter will be in chaos, all this elves treated badly till now they will want revenge and there will be a war.And if im right and thats the case im totally ok with it. Go Solas dont worry ill fix the mess after you somehow and we will all be happy at the end.

 

 

Or on other hand its more simple and means that the 'gods' will be released too, he said - I had plans , past tense so something changed and he dont think he can deal with them anymore, in this case im OK too, come on i kill and archdemon , i kill a would-be-god 2 times, i can fix this mess too 9 and ofc save solas before they kill him)

 

Im not ok thinking that he really mean he will destroy the world. Thats a no go and i wouldn't believe it until i see it.

So to be able to keep at least a bit of my sanity , unless we know exactly what he mean ill keep believing that he will not personally destroy the world.

 

And now something positive - imagine there 5 games and at the end of the 5th you do really can save solas and lavellan can finally be happy with him, but this can happen in just 1 world state where every single choice you made matter ( tbh i can totally see this coming) how long do you think for us to figure out the correct world state.And will you do it if most of the choices actually oppose with you moral , just for the chance to save Solas?

For me at that point im ready to let everyone die as long as i can save him, ill sacrifice my Worden, my Hawk, Alistair, Fenris ...well you got the idea.

 

I think im going crazy there is still this tiny part of me that just want to watch the world burn standing next to Solas .... Its a tiny part but its there

 

 

I would sacrifice all other world states for him, no matter the cost.  No matter my other characters happiness.  And then I would play my Cullen cannon.  Cause this is the first game where I felt I had to have two world states...cause unromanced Cullen makes me depressed.  Like a kicked puppy.

Blood magic?  It's blood magic, isn't it?

 

Scottish people actually spend 2 years of their high school time learning theory crafting and spoiler unearthing. We're made to watch movies like the Sixth Sense and are given our grades dependent on how far into the plot that we figure out the twist. I wasn't great but managed to pass my exams. Need more proof? See below with the pre-descent theory:-

Yes, and when he says the Dwarves are "lying in a pool of blood" perhaps it's not just a poetic metaphor. What if they truly are lying in a pool of blood, living underground surrounded by lyrium infused stone.? Red lyrium grows from people, takes their flesh and duplicates itself from it, essentially drawing and creating magic from blood. What if regular Lyrium is the same? Essentially a more concentrated form of magic that was drawn from the blood of the Dwarves (or possibly Titans as well, though we definitely need more lore on them), growing from the bodies of the dead underground. And the Dwarves have just been chipping away at this and selling it off to the surface. It also explains how using blood for magic spells gives power equal to using lyrium, because one is essentially the same as the other.

 

Oh sweet Maker! Could you imagine the response of the Dwarves if they find out they've been selling off THE Stone? Chipping away and carting of their Revered Ancestors blood and steadily weakening themselves in the process till they're all but sterile. Man, that would be a kick in the stones (snort, see what I did there?).

 

Aw man, if the next DLC has anything more on Dwarves, Blight and Lyrium, I'll be all over that like hair on Varric's chest.

Welp, I finally managed it.  I got the Trespasser music stuck in my head so I can be SAD ALL THE TIME

I'm sure I remember reading something about Elven blood being particularly useful to use in blood magic rituals, which is why they make such popular slaves in Tevinter. So it makes a grim sort of sense that Solas would use them to power his spell. It's like Elves are, en-masse, joining a giant death cult *shudder*

That would explain why he doesn't let Lavellan join the elves flocking to his banner.  While he's steeled himself to kill her indirectly by ripping down the Veil, I don't know if he could actually take the knife to her himself.

 

Ugh.  That ending slide just got 1000% worse.  My Lavellan was always going to tell her clan and the Dalish the truth about everything that's happened to her, including the Dread Wolf, but now that mission took on a new level of urgency.  She's a forgiving person, but I think even she will have a hard time trying to redeem Solas if her family and clan die in that ritual.

Indeed. The straw that breaks the camel's back or whatever. My Lavellan would move mountains to convince Solas to accept this world as 'real', but he starts the wholesale slaughter of Dalish and City elves, and 'saving' him becomes 'killing him at all costs. *Bawls*

*shifty eyes* Is it bad that I'm actually looking forward to it? The angst and emotionnal punch to actually be able to talk him back from this plan could make from some incredibly good storytelling if done well. If nothing else, Patrick Weekes is an excellent storyteller. I will never stop believing Solas can be redeemed, cause if I stop believing that it'll mean I was wrong from the start. And I don't want to be wrong.

ok i just did The temple of Mythal and i paid a bit more attention this time, this freaking wolf statues are everywhere , and no comment about it? oh well.

Also ALL ancient elves have the same eyes as mythal and Morrigan so, why Solas eyes are different? ( tnx god for that tho)
