I think it's part of writing a good story, frankly. The moral ambiguity. Just how Solas isn't completely black, the Inquisitor can never be completely free of blame. Heck, I roleplay mine as the most optimistic and I-believe-in-people character I've ever done (even not believing in being the Herald, she embodies it more than she realizes, as far as messiah-like characteristic go), but she's not and will never be blameless. She's gotten a lot of people killed by her actions, both allies and enemies. And she'll get a lot more killed, even after disbanding the Inquisition, in her single-minded quest to save Solas before it's too late. Sacrifice the few to same the multitudes... but also, more morally gray, sacrifice many for her own goals of redeeming the man she loves. The dichotomy is interesting.
