I would be so lost without you people. Seriously..what did I do with myself before this game came out?

For me, it was Mass Effect. Before then though... I don't know, I'm affectionately calling that period The Dark Ages. No, I'm not dramatic, why do you ask? ![]()

Mass Effect and The Elder Scroll games. Even though I love those games.. I have never been as passionate about a game as I am with Dragon Age. My ex used to make fun of me because I played DAO over and over and over. It's a good thing we don't talk anymore or he'd be making fun of me even more now with my DAI obsession. :-P

I always feel kind of idiotic when people gush about Mass Effect. I just couldn't get into it.
It actually took me a while. I didn't think I would like it. I had never played a Sc-Fi game before and I don't really care for shooters, but after a few hours I got into the story and the characters.
Well, that was a quite a little storm of emotional contradictions. I'm not even sure how I feel right now.

Eh, no need to feel idiotic. People like different things. I loved Mass Effect. I could NOT get into The Witcher 2 and as a result I feel no desire to play the Witcher 3 despite many people in this thread squeeing over it. Mind, I'm not using the word "squeeing" in a bad way, I squee over ME and DA. I enjoyed Skyrim but didn't obsess over it.
So really, don't feel idiotic. ![]()
