This is the same as my interpretation;

Regardless of whether they were intimate or not, it's safe to say that Lavellan's heart most definitely belongs to Solas.

 

We can see this in how you can respond to the conversation when Cassandra talks about marriage (that you have thought about it), the romance dialogue option before you go through the Darvaraad mirror, and the ending where you're determined to save Solas from himself.

I see then, well, I just took it as is because of the "but you lied to me" she said afterwards, a "but" after a sentence always makes me feel like the person agrees "but something something", the choice of words kind of threw me off .

So by that she either got it (what he meant, that he laid with her as Solas) or she agrees with him ("well yeah, we didn't have sex but I felt the need to refer to the saying and made a pun").

So yeah, weird wording. Maybe they shouldn't have addressed it at all, maybe they did just for the silly pun >_>.

Yeah, well, for me this has little bearing to how I imagine his relationship with Lavellan - I'm mostly surprised that any mention of them sleeping together (or not) even got into conversation tree, considering the devs' intentions to keep this sphere ambiguous 

 

It's just that the interpretation that they didn't makes much less sense for me - based solely on dialogue structure - compared to implication that they did. The BUT in Lavellan's response is also pretty easily explained in a sense that she believes him that he was with her because he loved her... but he still lied to her about some details about him, even if it was lie by omission.

Similarly like in angry option she's upset that he didn't trust her enough to think that she would understand, if he was 100% honest with her about the whole ancient elf/Fen'Harel business before he left her.

Well cuz im still half asleep and in so lazy ill not dig up Cole quotes ...yet.

But having in mind all Cole said in-game and in the DLC, and Solas said the the Gods was not gods but , spirits or mages or something. And its like 100% sure that all elves started out as spirite i wonder about his name Solas mean pride, and Wisdom became pride. If Cole was talking about Solas when he said - he didnt want a body, then we can assume solas was spirit of wisdom, and he choose his own name  , he named himself pride .

Cole : Voice ringing with fullness from both worlds, guiding me to the shining places. He calls himself Pride."

Also Sandal prophesy and mythal words in DA 2 : We stand upon the precipice of change. The world fears the inevitable plummet into the abyss. Watch for that moment... and when it comes, do not hesitate to leap. It is only when you fall that you learn whether you can fly...

I think the veil will fall, the question is how, and may be it will be we that will decide. May be there is a better way than the one Solas plan and may be will show him.

Also im for removing the veil if it dont destroy the world completely. But as i said we may not got a say if the veil will fall, just how.

It reminds me of the angry breakup where she yells at him and walks off and he looks so sad. He loves her, he's even trying to justify slightly, he can't really abide her anger that much. It makes him hurt more.

 

LOL I was one of the angry Lavellans. I think the translation was, "Your loss, *******" haha. Cracks me up but that's how I felt at the time. Won't take it back. After the Cory fight, Solas acknowledges how you reacted. In mine he was like "I know you angry girl, but you don't get it yet!"

In my playthrough I picked the teary eyed one, after he says "May the Dread Wolf Take You", and she answered "And so he did".

And then, well, he answered "I did not. I would not lay with you under false pretenses."

So. No sex. Like, lots of headcanons were ruined. I haven't decided throughout the playthrough if they did the deed or did not, so I wasn't bothered (though I kind of want to go back and choose another option, I didn't think "ironically yes" would lead to that dialogue, made me feel silly) but it does contradict what Weekes said about the romance.

We can't trust the writers by 100% since what they say (in tweets about feelings, behind the scenes, etc.?) may be just headcanon until proven otherwise

(I am a bit exaggerating of course, I just hope this little mess up doesn't apply to other things we've been told)

In my headcanon they totally did. My Lavellan wouldn't be shy about it. lol She would've hit that after Haven alright. I want to say it's ambiguous enough we can say he slept with her as Solas and not Fen'Harel but I don't know.

My bestie and I realized while swapping notes the other day on our Trespasser experiences: the entire last section of the Solavellan romance (from the vallaslin removal on) is basically a contest for who can make the saddest puppy face.

I would have had my Lavellan sleep with Solas, but since it didn't happen in game...I lean towards it didn't happen YET. I really don't like the intimacy thing being headcanon. My headcanon changes too often. I see the literary beauty in both options. The Lavellan/Solas tryst is in a horrible Schrodinger cat box in my head. If they never get the chance to be intimate officially I'll have wished I'd headcanoned that they once were, and if they do get the chance I'll want to have headcanoned that it's their first time. GAH!!!

 

I'm also frustrated that they kept dropping sex related dialogue triggered by unrelated text on the dialogue wheel. A good luck kiss doesn't translate to "you're trying to get me into bed" in my world. Just like the notion of the Dread Wolf taking Lavellan doesn't explicitly mean sex. He took her heart. If they were going to keep mentioning sex (especially using tricky dialogue wheel tactics) then they should have put in an optional sex scene or at least a clear cut dialogue option where Lavellan could lock in if they did or didn't. Headcanon is so not for me.

I can't take a screenshot and upload it because I don't have xboxlive at the moment, but I think I might have found something? Although it could just be a case of pareidolia (which I tend to have on occasion).

 

On the Winter Palace map, head southwest down from the Foundry to the balcony. Use the telescope there and look up in the sky. When you locate the Breach scar, have a look slightly to the left of it. What do you see?

It looks to me like a man (on the left) receiving a kiss on the cheek from a woman (on the right) and the Breach scar is above her eye on her forehead. The image is hazy so you have to focus...    HMMMmmm....

 

Edit: Okay think about the Crestwood scene when Lavellan and Solas are about to kiss. Like my avatar pic but flipped. That is what I'm seeing in the sky. It can also be viewed without the telescope.

Yeah, that "so goodbye kiss?". I expected these words, not "are you being grim a fatalistic?", no matter how cute his reaction was.

I get you entirely, while I do have headcanons they mostly are about confirmed & canon material, like a conversation with Iron Bull & Solas about some demon filled elven ruins, etc. (can't come up with good examples).

I do get why they left it ambiguous, and it's fine by me. The idea of explicitly showing them have sex was troubling because then laid.. well.. under false pretense. My dwarf ended up with Blackwall and when I saw her nekkid in a barn with a note I just got soooo angry.

There's just something about being intimate with others, unless you are up to something casual, being in a relationship and finding out the other person lied to you the whole time.. It's pretty horrible.

They should've just turned that dialogue to something else It feels like they were trying to answer fan questions more than Quizzy's XD 

 

On another note, Cullen:

I "spoiled" myself and watched the wedding since I wasn't planning on doing a Cullenmancer in the short term. I was thinking about it, but after the wedding I just went "meh", barfed a little in my mouth (j/k, don't kill me), removed Cullen from my long-term and went back to pinning over Solas.

It could be because I'm an odd-ball and I'm anti-marriage but I think it's mainly, way, wayyy, wayyyyyyyyyyy too fluffy for me.

Which isn't a bad thing, Cullen is dashing, but he lacks that intrigue and that... edge.

The same edge Solas has, the same edge Garrus ( ) has.

And a bit of sense of humor, he is so serious, does he get less serious throughout the romance?

Harlequins, you find them randomly at the Winter Palace, if you sneak behind one and catch them before they notice you, you get +2 DEX, if you find 5 you get a schematic

Edit: I just loaded up my Trevelyan (romanced Cullen) and I see the same image in the sky.

Still pretty cool though.
