Now that the Inquisitor's arm is gone, how cool would it be if Dagna created a new arm along the lines of Del Spooner's (I, Robot) arm?

So no more closing breaching but some marvelous ability, like Fenris' or even something class matching.

A super strong arm for warriors.

Nimble and quick arm with poison storage for rogues.

A lyrium imbued arm with a built in crystal for casting spells and perhaps a monk-like specialization!

And you could get schematics for parts and runes, like Varric's Bianca.

I've watched all of the possible outcomes and dialogue branches for the meeting with Solas.

And there is one thing I feel compelled to mention, when you meet him, he turns around, clams the anchor "that should give us more time" and smiles sadly "I suspect you have questions", his voice is not like the one in the trailer, it is warm no matter Solas' disposition towards your Inquisitor.

All of this, is so weird coming from a Solas who disapproves of you, and this isn't a bug, it recognizes his levels of disapproval, it even recognizes if you never spoke with him about the Fade & such. Also, the fact that he still felt the need to tell his story (in 15 seconds) to an uncaring Inquisitor is WEIRD, no matter how incredibly awesome that scene was, it's weird. 

So what's up?

I've been thinking to myself.

1. It can be a need to confide in someone, seeing that Solas is probably very alone he would even tell his story to an Assquisitor if they show interest (or even if they don't care). I'm not certain how many of his agents get to see him in person, and if they do, I don't think they know he is Fen'Harel, perhaps they think of him Fen'Harel's right hand or something of the sort.

2. A desire for a nemesis to rise so someone would be able to stop him, perhaps there is doubt in his heart. This doesn't make as much sense (even though I like the idea) since he learned to think of the people of Thedas as... well.. people from a friend Inquisitor.

3. The release of lies, he obviously doesn't like to lie. He says he only lies by omission, and even that seems to make him feel ill at ease. We already know he disapproves of situations when he needs to lie, like that time you ask too many questions after the Winter Palace.

 

Less relevant:

What was the point of making everybody but Cole disapprove of me wanting to save Solas (heart dialogue option when we find out Viddasala is after him)?

It's not like it affects something, right? Was that a way to express their opinions silently? XP

ok i was thinking of what the best strategy would be for saving solas based on all the clues we have and then i though of something else ( the strategy post still coming but later cuz i need to read all his dialogues again) 

SOOOOO its rumored that DA will be 5 games, every game have new protagonist , how many ppl can you have in your party - 4. Having in mind that they talked about having multiple protagonist as possible what IF there are really 5 games and in the 5th one you play all your chars from the other 4, wont that be awesome ?

why else did it matter what class was my Worden it have no effect in next games so far ( uhhh thinking of that im fcked i have 1 rogue so far and 2 mages ...)

i see the tapestry as a puzzle , there are too many decisions  so far that seems useless , i think they are all puzzle pieces for the last game .

Actually, speaking of little things we've noticed in Trespasser;

Anyone else manage to find the secret way into the gold vault at the Island Temple? I went back and used the upgraded mark to explode the two gaatlok barrels at the back of the island and there's a cave that leads directly to the vault, which lets you loot the entire gold pile.

 

Also, Solas and lore related, several of the banners in the Island Temple are the same ones that are present in Skyhold when we move in.

 

While they could have reused the texture, I like to think that it's because Skyhold was another site sacred to the Ancient Elves. The faded swirling symbol on the banner's heraldry also seems to appear on the bandolier adorning Solas' armour, if you look carefully.

 

That combined with how Skyhold's original elven name translates to "The place where the Sky was held back", I've been wondering whether this might mean that it was possibly the site where Solas erected the Veil in the first place?

He certainly wasn't spending it on shoes or engagement rings.

Yeah, I had so much gold from Descent I really didn't need to worry about buying any expensive items anymore.

 

And when it came to pointless other things, I had to wonder why they gave us a weapon crafting table in Darvaraad, but didn't also have a mod table nearby to let us modify the pieces or equip any enchantments to it? It's the final mission so it's not really going to be used for long, but still...

 

And once again, the loot was once again was far less impressive than my crafted gear. It's the final DLC, give us some gamebreaking items!

Maybe they are the Forgotten Ones or ancient dwarves that could use magic or something new and completely crazy. I'm more worried that we flooded the whole mine thereby trapping whatever those are under water.

 

Also, are the Tapestry choices for Trespasser unlocking for any of you in the Keep? My JoH stuff is there, but there's nothing for Trespasser. I keep forgetting to ask y'all.

Did anyone else get caught off-guard by just how

honest he was? I was expecting much more vagueness about his plans/his identity/his past. Sure, he doesn't give specifics about how he'll execute his plan, but he explains in extreme clarity what its outcome would be.

The unexpectedness of it really worked for me.

It was so chilling to watch him switch from 100% evasive to "I'm not sharing every detail but here's what I'm doing." That's the kind of switch that happens when someone knows they can't be stopped (or when they want to be stopped, some small part of me hopes).

Plus, hearing Cole allude to the fact that Solas didn't see people as real is one thing... but hearing it from his mouth makes it harder for me to downplay. It isn't even his "walking among tranquil" line that really drives it home for me. It's the part where he talks about wanting peace/freedom before the end, because he's not a monster (lol). The only way it makes sense for him to follow that up with "not a monster" is if he views the people of the world as something closer to cattle, or at best favored pets; i.e. "putting them down is sad, but at least I'm doing it humanely."

And I think he's still at that point in Trespasser, with the exception of the Inquisitor. It's like Cole says, "and it means everyone could be real." He's not on board for everyone being real. Not yet, anyway.

I can't seem to boot up DAI and finish my happily ever after playthrough with my Cullenite Trevelyan. Everytime I load it, I end up going back to my Tiger Festival save. Doom. I'm not ready for this to be over. Which reminds me, about the tapestry mentioned in previous posts:

I don't see any trespasser tiles either. By some miracle, everything else has recorded properly for Tiger. I have one blank tile, but when I click on it, it has 3 hidden options and the tiles about Sutherland, so I dunno what the others are, but probably not Trespasser.

Which makes me concerned. Because the last save is an autosave before the final mirror. If you click continue after the credits roll, that's where it drops you. From there the only thing you can do is play through the last bits, where you are able to alter your decisions. But since there's no indication that those decisions even got recorded anywhere, how do we know which ones stuck? How do we know they stuck at all?

It just gives me a horrible, sinking feeling when I think about it. Especially with some of the tweets Weekes made that have been brought up: talking about things on a panel in the future instead of now, and him unable to promise a future game. Those don't have to mean anything in particular, but now I'm worried that the choices in the end weren't actually recorded because they're just that uncertain there will even be a next game. It makes me sad. And irritated, because I know that we aren't just talking about a BioWare game. We're talking about a BioWare game with a giant arse EA logo on it. They make the decisions when it comes to this, and they aren't exactly known for making good ones.

Ugh. Now I'ma fret until we get a teaser trailer for DA4. More Doom.

I think the choices from Trespasser are just not in the Keep yet.  It took awhile for them to add them for JoH and I don't think the Descent ones were immediately there either.  They also might be waiting to put them in the keep so people don't accidentally spoil themselves .. although to do that people would have to on purpose turn ON the spoilers.  And also, (this is unlikely but) they may have not actually decided which decisions go into the Keep, though the last decisions do have that "THIS IS AN IMPORTANT CHOICE" graphic and everything.
