Whether he was serious or not is always up for question but it doesn't look like it bothers him.  It may be different for Bull because of the effort Epler put into making it work too.

Good find. Yeah, people are different - I'm sure some writers love to just like some find it too weird. Same for voice actors. When Greg Ellis tweeted some things that might have indicated he planned on romancing Cullen, some people were quick to say 'gross' and 'Allegra says it's weird' (though she still plans on doing it). We only know how they feel about it if they tell us.

Uh, not to sound like a prude or spoil anyone's romance speculation party or anything, but might want to spoiler tag the racier fan art posts. People might be browsing from work, or with their kids around, and I suspect not everyone is completely comfortable with that sort of thing.

EDIT: The least I can do is offer a new conversation topic, if anyone would like. How does what we've seen recently change (or not change) your perceptions of Solas' personality? At first I assumed a shy, nerdy type, but I'm ecstatic that he appears to be more of a badass with a brain. He's a genius bruiser! He seems to have a commanding presence, which I am very happy with, personally.

You know, even though I initially imagined him as a bit more awkward/nerdy than what we've seen, his age, life experience, and intelligence definitely had me picturing him as quietly confident and mature. Maybe a bit unassuming, in that we might have to delve deeper to find that 'spicy' bit we've heard about. Now, though, seeing a side of him that's more forward and aggressive than I'd initially imagined... I definitely like it. It's surprising, and makes him sexy where he maybe wasnt to me before (a little, but not like now). It also makes me even more curious than I already was - where did he come from? What makes him tick? What will his personal quest be!? There's an air of mystery about him now that makes me want to figure him out, even more so than before.

I originally saw Solas as being someone kind with a passionate and aggressive side.  Someone intelligent and little intense.  I...suppose he's ended up more or less the way I thought he would be.  At least from what we know of him so far.  I'm looking forward to getting to know him better and seeing what makes him tick.  I still have a lot of suspicions about whether or not he's what he appears to be or if there's more going on there.

same. Legion and Mordin killed me even more than the star kid (but them in a positive way) Thane...not so much, and I don't know why...maybe because it seems only Shep cared...

 

I wasn't really into the calm and shy Solas...the descriprion of "his" food wasn't very indicated for a calm and shy personality. I have always thought of him as "Sand like" (NWN2) but less snarky and antisocial (Sand remind me a little of an academic male Morrigan, sometimes.). Not comfortable with people, yes. years of being a hermit can make someone rusty in social situations.
