I think it might be purposefully vague. After all, elvish is said to be a language of intention, meaning weaved into it depending on who is talking. So, both could be right depending who says it and who listens. Same as with Banal Nadas. It's quite clever really, and keeps us guessing.

 

Well yeah, it is, but we have no translation of 'ame' so we can't decipher that sentence unless we find it another place and decipher that and that will have other words and so on. We can't know 'ame' is 'one', we do know 'sa' is one though, so 'one-blood' is probably invalid thus the translation inaccurate.

the 'pet dragons' of the Evanuris, like Corypheus has a 'pet dragon', which would've separated them from the rest of the elves. While regular elves were mortal (though eternal) the Evanuris were immortal, perhaps allowing them to body jump as well as strengthening their powers. I thought that the reason Mythal's wisp survived is because of that dragon. 

Though if Solas wants to rid of the Evanuris why would he oppose killing the archdemons?

Because they are hard to kill.  You saw Mythal. And he repeats it again at the end of the DLC.  They are not easy to kill and may actually be impossible to kill.  Right now - he knows where they are.  Why move them.  When they are killed they could go anywhere.

My theory with the dragon's is that they are actually the key to immortality.  There is a reason this game makes big overtures about how the dragon is the key to Corypheus' immortality. It's the only way he's able to jump bodies.  Once killed. He can't.   

 

So the evanuris may have had a bond with dragons.  There is a reason the "shape of the gods" seen in the Xebenkeck codex in Trespasser is a dragon. Why Mythal's favored form and her symbol is a dragon.  Immortality - out of everything the elves could do - marked them as a culture.  It drove their way of life. It allowed them to be more powerful magically.  It dictated EVERYTHING.  Out of everything, I think their immortality was what made them, them.  EDIT: So possibly Mythal -- whose orgins are very very murky -- may have discovered this link which is why she is represented as a dragon and why she is considered the mother.  She is sort of the mother of their culture. (that last bit is pure pure speculation).  

There's also the war table mission with Frederic in the Western Approach that investigates dragons. They discover that dragons are highly blight-resistant - that they can stem its spread within their bodies. I've (briefly) wondered whether there's more to that - but I have brain fail getting any further :/

Why didn't he kill the Evanuri, but only trapped them? Perhaps he doesn't want to kill his People, these archdemons may as well be Evanuri's real bodies.

Or perhaps the archdemons for the Evanuri are some kind of anchor, like Corypheus's dragon, beasts that are not inherently evil, but essential to their immortality?

I think it's really important.  It may be WHY they turn into dragons.  Because they are blight resistant.  I think the blight existed long before Arthlathan was an empire.  And if my theory is correct and they used dragons blood and turned into dragons to maintain their immoirtality, that may be why they were chosen.  They saw the dragons remained alive through this illness.  So they used it.

The bulk of Solas' approval doesn't come from Inquisitor listening to Solas or haring him lecture, but Inquisitor's own decisions: going around the world, helping as many people as possible. Saving the mages and allying with them or conscripting Templars. Exiling the Grey Wardens (where not just him opposed them staying - so did Cassandra). Playing the Game and working hard to impress the court and unravel Florianne's plan through intelligence and diplomacy (and than keeping Florianne to work with Inquisitor to expose Inquisition's enemies). And, of course, siding with Sentinels.

In the DLC, after he tells of his initial plan to remove the Veil you can ask him something along the lines of "wouldn't the Evanuris be free if you remove the Veil?" and he responds "I had plans". I'm pretty sure he wants to get rid of them.

 

Perhaps since dragons are highly blight-resistant they kill some of the disease themselves and prevent it from spreading? And only after a long time of being constantly exposed they get infected? I recall from somewhere (I'm not sure from where) that in some thaig in which one of the to-be-archdemon dwells/dwelled there were many dead darkspawn scattered around, I think they were praying, perhaps being next to a dragon killed them, who knows?

I think it's really important.  It may be WHY they turn into dragons.  Because they are blight resistant.  I think the blight existed long before Arthlathan was an empire.  And if my theory is correct and they used dragons blood and turned into dragons to maintain their immoirtality, that may be why they were chosen.  They saw the dragons remained alive through this illness.  So they used it.

The more I think about it the more I think Trespasser confirms that the Blight is ether Earth's defense system or something that was a weapon or powerful being of some sort, but got corrupted, and now is a concentration of really bad emotions and dreams of destruction.

 

The codexes in Trespasser and Cole's comments do seem to imply that Evanuris/elves were, at some point, either invaders or a side in a war, that have claimed Earth as their domain (or their 'right').

 

Solas once said (to spirit of Command) that the physical body is both a shackle and a strength - so it does appear that having a physical form makes one more powerful - in some way - than just being a pure Fade/spiritual being, hence Evanuris sought to claim it and then strengthened the claim over earth by making it - and by extension Titans connected to it - forget things (Cole says "They made bodies from the earth and the earth was afraid. It ought back, but they made it forget." and "Songs screaming far away. It wants to wake up, but can't remember how. No one should be here.").

 

I think whatever they've forced to fall asleep and forget is getting really, REALLY angry...

He explains that they are not easily killed (a fact we can see in Flemythal).

 

If it was one magical person and their followers against ten others (example), all of whom have their own followers (read: armies) and their own magical powers.. if the one person's options were wage war on the other ten (and probably die and have most of his followers die in the process, and in this way fail), or press a Magic Button on a Magic Machine they had developed and erect a Magical Prison around each of the 10 like some kind of pop-up book... easy decision. Hell he may not even have had the sheer power required to kill them.

 

Compounded by Solas' dislike of unnecessary death AND how he wanted them to face an eternity of torment as punishment for killing Mythal AND how he states that every alternative to using the Veil to imprison them was somehow worse.
