There are also Red Jenny caches scattered around.  I know there are like 3 in the Hinterlands.  There are more elsewhere and I think each one gives a slight approval bump.  I know killing a dragon with her in the group is supposed to change her codex entry but I'm not sure if she gets approval from it like Iron Bull does.  And you don't have to agree with her in the Temple of Mythal thing to stay her friend.

True, I forgot about the caches.  And there's her quest in Halamshiral that gives quite the approval bump.  I didn't agree with her about TOM and remained friends.

Speaking of Bull and dragons: patch 10 nerfed that approval gain.

Its quite difficult to gain her full approval with an elf mage that banishes Wardens, but I manage to do that anyhow. Aside form things people mention, there are also some war table missions and judgements, as well as some agent recruitment that result in her giving positive approval as well.

I have a male Trev that is romancing Cass.  I intend to finish it at some point.  Love Cass.

But hellspiral has made me want to do a romance that's more fluffy but also maybe silly, so I started a Sera romance PT with an Adaar.

My Seramance will be weird and blonde and adorable opposites attract type stuff. Mage too serious, devout, opens up more.

Need a concept for RP purposes for a guy now.

I flirted with Harding in every location.  I got a serious boost in approval for that.  And saved a lot of the Hinterlands quests until after I recuited Sera and took her with me.  And had the nobility knowledge perk that let me recuit the noble in her quest and stay on her good side (gaining a Greatly Approves in the process).  Keeping the Wardens also gives you a Greatly Approves, too.  With that I was able to cope with the huge hit to approval the TOM stuff and recuiting the mages took.

Bizzarely, I think I've only ever seen a flirt option for Harding once. And I didn't know that recruiting the noble actually netted approval from her. :o I though that'd be the big no-no. I should experiment more often. xD Thanks!

Unrelated, but bringing this up to keep it on topic:

Harding's flirts disappear if a romance with Solas reaches the balcony scene.  So I open everywhere, flirt with Harding at each location to get the approval from Sera and then continue with the Solasmance.

And it's recuiting the noble with the nobility knowledge perk.  The Inquisitor strips him of his lands and titles and makes him part of the Inquisition.  Sera Greatly Approves.

Re: Sera, I know a number of her approval options are actually counter intuitive - e.g. I know at some point, possible after Temple Mythal, if you call her beliefs flat out stupid she'll laugh and agree and give some approval.

Also I kill the noble on her Verchiel quest every single damn time. He just makes me skin crawl. Also, he deserves it.

I've never really had trouble with her approval, actually, despite playing a friendly elf mage.

I might try and play a really pro-dalish hunter, who is as stubborn as she is, for a challenge, to romance her. Like, they fight all the time but they get each other completely, despite upbringing differences. But I've played so many Lavellens already... Hmm, decisions.

Wow you guys are so awesome! I've spent the last 2.5 hrs catching up on the thread and I'm loving the theories, and the lore and it totally has my head spinning putting things together. There was soooo much to like and quote that I just had to give up and make one post full of hearts for all of you!

Aye, I always get the knowledge perks straight away, but even with it I thought she'd disapprove. x)

I didn't managed to max Sera's approval after drinking from the well. Mostly because I refused to agree with her later. Not so much because she was wrong but because she was being so smug and spiteful about it. Other then that I usually stayed in her good side, even though it felt a bit out of character for my Trevelyan to go around doing pranks with Sera.

I wonder if the Inquisitor can personally keep those lands...

You can do that?!  :o

I'll admit I didn't do this quest in my first playthrough, but I will get to it soon in the "ideal playthrough." I thought the only three ways to deal with him were to let him go, let Sera kill him, or question him long enough that Sera loses her temper and kills him anyway. I never wanted to let him join of his own volition or let him go (since that means he'd "win"), but just casually letting Sera kill him seemed heartless too...

If you "recruit" him with the nobility knowledge perk (which I have), would Sera really approve? That sounds like a great compromise!

Yes.  I did this in my ideal PT.  Sera really likes it.  And it feels so good to knock him down 20 pegs.

Yes.  The moment I found that out I got the perk as soon as I could.  She approves because you're basically playing his own game against him and winning.  Generally the perk options are the best way to deal with a situation (you can use one of them to tell Jana not to join the Wardens without calling on Solas, and therefore avoid the Sera approval loss from using him)
