I too am curious what these "old dreams" are. Something that's old from Solas' point of view must be pretty darn ancient.

Is Solas going to fail only for some even older person to say "you were supposed to die! Now my plans to restore the ancient ways have been thrown into chaos!"? Just this giant conga line of disgruntled old people being manipulated by even more disgruntled, even older people?

I wonder if it's something to do with the Titan.  I wonder if they are sleeping...or there is something more in there. There was that codex entry where the Inquisitor says 'the elves were mining the titan and then...something else'. so there may be something more insiduous that dreams.

I want Calpernia! And possibly Mae I also want an ancient elf. Maybe not Abelas, as he seems more likely to be on Solas' side, but an ancient elf for the lore and knowledge he'd bring (and also a new class? Abelas was a two-hand warrior with magic and it was awesome!). A dwarf from Kal Sharok too I want to know what's up with them (my guess is they still have a connection to their Titan, unlike the Orzammar dwarves).

Sooo... I finally managed to play Trespasser. Please forgive me that I do not catch up on the last 1000 pages or so to find out what I missed about your discussions.

Anyway, I am pretty pleased with the ending, though I am not really sure how my final decision will play out in the future. Or if it actually will play out at all...

In the end I only made a plan, nothing more. I can say "I will find you and I will kill you" and change my mind later on just as easily as I can say "I will redeem you" and still put a knife between his eyes later when seeing that he won't see reason.

I wonder, there is a scene where you must either arrest...

Felassan would be so awesome though! We already know that killing someone in dream can make them Tranquil. And the Seekers are seeking a cure for tranquility. But yeah, probably not happening.

Not really. The guard is one of Solas' agents, while the servant is the Qunari agent. So whichever one you arrest, you're not wrong You just get different info and who's infiltrating the palace

opposes Solas' plan. Someone like Sera, maybe. I don't see how ancient elves could possibly- I mean, even the ones who hated Fen'Harel would want his plan to succeed so the Evanuris could be released.

. Maevaris. I hear some people say nice things about the multiplayer characters but I don't know enough of them to have an opinion. I want a Kal-Sharok dwarf so bad though.

I really want Valta back. That whole thing was too open ended for them just do nothing with her character going forward.

 

She also ticks the needed boxes of Female Dwarf and Ancient Entity that could have much plot relevance.

 

 

Past that I hadn't given it much though.

Calpy might be good to have back.

I'd love to have Mae, but I'm not sure whether as companion or more advisor type scenario. 

..Maybe Abelas. Death hasn't stopped Bioware before...

I don't remember who mentioned this originally, but wouldn't it be awesome if they pulled an ME3 reapers-hit-earth scenario on us and had the veil come down right at the start of the game, giving all the classes some limited access to magic? Maybe through specialisations? Obviously mages still wield it with superior skill, but all the muggles can have access to a specialisation later on which allows them limited magical ability.

Maybe on one hand we'll have a new Tevinter protagonist who'll have Dorian, Calpernia, Mae and a few more new companions, and on the other hand you have the Inquisitor scouring the world for a solution and finding a Tranquil-made Felassan. They go to Cassandra for help, restore him to his former self and then you have Felassan who knows Fen'Harel's plan and believe like the Inquisitor that he needs to be stopped (and seeing how he respected Solas in Masked Empire, he'd probably agree to the "saving him from himself" bit if that's the way you play the game).

 

Edit : I've been listening to the same few songs we have from Trespassers for the last two days. Someone help, I'm in full hellspiral!

It's most probably because not everyone has played Trespasser, but still, I want to hope. Best elf isn't dead!

If he was just made tranquil and he's not dead......and then he has the tranquility reversed.....and then he hears about Solas starting to see people as real but still going through with his plan.....

 

can you imagine how incredibly pissed at Solas he would be? I mean......it wouldn't just be mad...it would be tranquil reversed mad.

 

Felessan may go super mage and save all of Thedas based on this alone.

 

I think this should be the plan of action to stop Fen'Harel apocalypse 2.0.

 

If he's still alive that is.

I went for the servant because, of the two, it seemed more likely they'd smuggled the gaatlok inside the palace and that was the most important part for my Inquisitor. They couldn't blow up the palace. I wasn't even aware Solas could have agent infiltrating us. When I realized, I went full on Homer Simpson "'D'oh!"

I like this so much that this is now in my head as 'this is what's going to happen' lol   I now might be *slightly* sad if we don't end up having Felassan as a companion.

 

What about Valya? I kind of liked her in Last Flight... but also forgot she existed until about 5 seconds ago  Elf and Grey Warden who has griffons! Could be cool?
