If they somehow did bring Felassan back, I hope he wouldn't end up looking as odd as Celene/Briala/Michel did in Inquisition.

Celene looked much older than I had imagined. Briala was much lighter skinned than I thought she was supposed to be, and Michel just looked like a generic NPC.

 

One of my very close friends started playing DAI after I have nudged her enough (she's actually enjoying it, so it's not that bad   ). I made sure she read The Masked Empire before doing the Winter Palace mission, afterwards she also went to Emprise du Lion and was slightly socked that Michel was blond... haha It really bothered her, it was hilarious. She actually imagined Michel to look more like Gaspard and vice versa. Personally, I never imagined Gaspard blond, but that was interesting.

Hopefully, if they make him a companion and not a simple NPC, he'd get more attention to details. His vallaslin... I seriously want to see what his vallaslin looks like.

As far as game structure goes, my Lavellan would still love Solas, but as far as a new character's LI, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I prefer to just see who they give us and then build my character. It would be nice to have a nice, fluffy romance again. I know Cullen is exactly that, but I mean to stumble into the first time.

 

Though there's no doubt for me that playing through DAI having chosen Solas first was the best experience I could've had. Especially because there's hope and their story clearly isn't over.

I guess this is the result if Cole is spirit but you killed the Chargers.

 

I squealed when I saw Zither in my game, but Cole was  a spirit and paired her up with Krem. I squealed even more.

 

Krem is adorable. I loved that result.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Felassan as Tranquil, especially since they've given us information that it is reversible. Being an ancient elf with a strong (former) connection to the fade and not being Tranquil for that long, Felassan makes a perfect case for reversal.

I'd love a tranquil companion PERIOD. That was on my Inquisition wishlist actually. Even back when game lore insisted that tranquility was permanent (just like abominations) I assumed it would be revealed to be reversible eventually (just like abominations). I like fixing messed up people. Reversing a companion's right of tranquility would be right up there with turning Shale back into a dwarf, separating Justice and Anders, and other spoilery elfy things.

I do find it difficult to imagine Solas making anyone tranquil intentionally considering what he says about the modern elves being like the tranquil. If Felassan survived as a tranquil I'd have to assume it was just because Solas was too weak to kill him.

I love Zither on my team in multiplayer. I don't have him unlocked myself, but I think that would be a seriously fun class to play. And something different for mages in this series.

If he was just made tranquil and he's not dead......and then he has the tranquility reversed.....and then he hears about Solas starting to see people as real but still going through with his plan.....

 

can you imagine how incredibly pissed at Solas he would be? I mean......it wouldn't just be mad...it would be tranquil reversed mad.

 

Felessan may go super mage and save all of Thedas based on this alone.

 

I think this should be the plan of action to stop Fen'Harel apocalypse 2.0.

 

If he's still alive that is.

Maybe that's why Weekes keeps saying "SPOILERS" whenever we ask who killed him. HE'S NOT DEAD.

I think there is some hope he might not be dead based on one thing : Solas was extremely weakened when he awoke from uthenera, or else he'd have been able to use his own foci without Corypheus' help. Although he's a powerful dreamer (and after Trespasser has god-like powers), he might not actually have been strong enough to kill Felassan through a dream (he might not even have realized he didn't, so he would think that's one more stain on his soul. On the other hand, seeing how he reacts to an inquisitor making anyone tranquil, knowing he's made Felassan Tranquil wouldn't be much better to him than killing him outright; worse even.). All that to say, there is some hope Felassan might return if I'm right.

 

Too bad the Inquisitor has no idea Felassan even exists though, or mine at least would try to find him. Perhaps she could learn about him through tlaking with Briala, which would be a logical step since the eluvian were hers before Solas "stole" them.

 

I would love to see Best Elf in game, but I'm pretty sure we can try and ask Weekes whether Felassan is dead or turned tranquil.

If he's no longer relevant I think he might answer?

GDL is excellent narrator btw, I have listened to one of the Torchwood audiobooks that he narrated, and he managed to do accents (their actual TV show accents, not made up) without sounding ridiculous and clearly getting across who was talking and when.

As for DA4 companions, I'm with Felassan, if not dead, and Michel too.

Felassan because he would know so much about Solas. Then again, I'd love to have any elf who would potentially know something about Solas, to help track him down. And also to listen to him/her talk about Solas   

 

Michel because I thought his potential was massively underutilized in DAI. I'd like to see him coming to terms with his feelings about his origin. His struggle with the elven part of his origin made me sad and really quite uncomfortable, and I'd like to see that resolved in a good way. Then again, they already had Sera in this game, maybe they wouldn't want to play that card again.

I just want a really cool lady Qunari as part of our companions in DA4. The world needs more of those, really.

While I think he'd be angry at Solas I think he'd also be pleased that he's started to have doubts about his plan. He would be completely on the 'save Solas from himself' team.

Generic NPC is more than he deserves.  I'd rather he was generic NPC corpse.

I came out of the book hating Gaspard and wishing I hadn't merely exiled him, really liking Michel, and knowing more about the hot mess that is Celene & Briala's entire relationship and history together but still think together they have the best chance to help.
