While I think he'd be angry at Solas I think he'd also be pleased that he's started to have doubts about his plan. He would be completely on the 'save Solas from himself' team.

 

 

Generic NPC is more than he deserves.  I'd rather he was generic NPC corpse.

EDIT: I hated Michel so much after reading TME. But if he was actually made a companion in DA4, I'd be interested to see if Bioware could actually get me to like him.  He's just so "blah" in DA:I.

If he's no longer relevant I think he might answer?

I came out of the book hating Gaspard and wishing I hadn't merely exiled him, really liking Michel, and knowing more about the hot mess that is Celene & Briala's entire relationship and history together but still think together they have the best chance to help.

I disliked everyone in TME, though when I finished it I was glad I let Celene and Briala die. If it didn't require siding with Imshael I'd let Michel die to.

See, that's why I thought Michel had such a lot of potential as a character. He is quite f***d up about his own identity and massively conflicted about the elves. If I remember the book correctly, his fond childhood memories are of his elven mother with her elven stories, and yet there's this hostility towards his origin at the same time. I really would have liked to see him reconcile himself with his elven side.

Maybe if Weekes writes a book about Fen'Harel, GDL will narrate it.  This is my dream!!

OMG Weekes could write a book like Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat--account of the fall of Arlathan from Fen'Harel's first person perspective. Then GDL will read it to us and we will all have strokes!

Yes, this. He does all these things to conceal the truth but he's also seriously conflicted. Thinking of his mother and his youth are happy thoughts, but he's an Orlesian chevalier, and good enough and dedicated enough to have made it to his position. I'm not saying all of his choices were great, but since he was 10, he has tried to make a better life for himself while still harboring the secret of being elven when elves are so mistreated....and he internalizes it.

 

It was to him and Briala where my sympathies went by the end.

He gave her a way to avoid all of that through marriage though. Celene put herself before her country so bad ruler in my book.

Ohhhhh, I hope this gets some kind of reaction from Patrick Weekes. It'sn ot a question, so there should be no "spoiler!" include. Although if there is, it would be telling in itself
