I'm boiling over with theories and thinking right now but tbqh I'm sort of overcomed with just how attractive Solas became to me, in ways he just wasn't before? (I'm being circumspect because I don't want to spoiler things without being substantive)
Please though, tell me I'm not alone on this! :v

I thought those concept image were from an abandonned project? I didn't think we'd seen anything of Gaider's new project. but yeah, it's probably a real new IP. As for DA4, I saw a tweet (and really wish I'd screencapped it now) from a someone new at Bioware (I would guess) saying she was excited to finally being under NDA too, and the tweet was for Patrick Weekes and Mike Laidlaw. make of that what you will. I just remember it was in that series of tweet about how they weren't being mean in not giving any info about if/whe DA4 will happen.
But yes, Solas!

The abandoned project was Shadow Realms. Those other screenshots are apparently confirmed to be part of whatever the new modern IP is. We don't know what kind of modern IP it is--does it contain supernatural or science fiction elements? We don't know. Maybe we play a detective story. We don't know yet. Depending what it is, I might not be that interested in it. But that said? There's certainly room out there for games with a realistic setting, i.e. nothing supernatural or science fiction to them. It's been done before of course, many a time. But to see Bioware take that on? Might be interesting.
Not sure if better or worse than the Swiss Guard.

The contemporary parallel universe theme was for the IP that was cancelled, Shadow realms I think. They haven't released any information on the newest IP in the works yet. It's been driving me NUTS, I'm pretty anxious to see what it's about.
Ohhh.... Would Jade Empire be considered new IP? Or resuscitated IP? *Cries with hope*
Regarding the dress/uniform issue, I've always thought that the team needed to fit in. So since all the women in Halamshiral were in gowns, so should the Inquisitor be in a dress. Fast forward to the Exalted Council, and the Inquisitor needs to look dignified, so a uniform would not be out of place.... but for me, I preferred the black formal attire.
And Solas... could not look uncomfortable if he tried. He's just different variations of sexy.

HA! You're definitely not alone. I've noted quite a few people in the modding forum who are suddenly keenly interested in modifying plot flags so that they can have a "romanced" Solas for Trespasser.

I can't find screenshots for the new IP anywhere, help me out XD ... Seriously, I've been trying to find out stuff about it for forever. Help.
I don't know what it is with some characters and their abilities to grip you by the throat and just... not let go. I've not been this pumped for a game character like this before. Ever. I barely slept the night after finishing Trespasser. I'm going down with this ship! Most of us are around here, I'm afraid.

My information comes from the new IP thread in the former Scuttlebutt/current General Discussion No Spoilers part of the forum.
I can't swear to its accuracy. All I know is: New IP is modern. There are a handful of screenshots/concepts. I don't know if there's any supernatural, fantasy, science fiction, or just plain weird aspect to it whatsoever, or if it's plain old normal modern world. There was a mention of building the world, or creating the world. So it might not be Earth, or it might be a fictional place on Earth.
Not sure if that thread still exists. If it does, you should probably go poke around there.

though all this talk reminds me that I need to pick something to wear for my friend's wedding. I would love a new dress, but alas I will likely have to pull something out of my closet I won't freeze in leaving at 8am at the end of September to catch 90+ minutes of bus + train.

I'll always remember how one of the first posts on the first Solas thread was along the lines of, "If he's a love interest I'll be so mad."
He's a fascinating and incredible character no matter your status with him, but he sure managed to snag a few hearts with just a handful of romance scenes, now didn't he?
