All this happened in game and not RP-wise and the only RP is how I imagined my Lavellan felt!
After the party, my Lavellen awoke and went to her balcony, staring out into the distance, a look for determination saying one day she will find Solas and get answers! She loves him, but has to let him go for now, but the pain never ends. She needed to get back on track, so she headed to the Basin to find out what happened to the Inquisitor before her. Learning of his life and seeing the parallels, she felt a deep pang in her heart that she pushed aside so she could save the world from Hakkon, Solas never truly being far from her mind.
With the world safe, and Ameridan's wise words about taking the happiness you can, she left with a lighter heart and weeks later received an urgent message from Orzammar. They needed help and these mysterious earthquakes were going to split Thedas apart if they continued. Once again she donned her armor and off she went to save the world. By now Solas was just a distant ache that she hardly felt as she returned to her role as Inquisitor and kept working to better Thedas.
2 years have gone by now and she hasn't seen her friends in a long time. She rejoins them in Orlais and suddenly everyone decides her relationship is a hot topic. Solas' name is popping up and tearing open old wounds. She tells Viv as much during a relaxing spa day. Blackwall tries to comfort her and fumbles, and Sera offers her a place among the RJ. Leliana thinks she still pines and mentions she is tired of chasing him, but Lavellan wasn't even concerned about that. She just wanted this Exalted Council to go well, and for the damn Qunari to butt out! Fate has a sick sense of humor though and suddenly she is racing against the clock to save Solas who has been secretly helping her, while her hand burns from the Mark.
Finally after much blood, sweat and tears she reunites with the man she loved and tried to forget for awhile. Already knowing he was Fen'Harel, she confronts him with careful words, understanding and a bit of anger over his lack of trust. She watches the man she loves break down and reveal his love for her that has always been, then steel himself and tell her he will destroy her world for his. She is shocked, hurt but her heart swells with his words of love. Conflicted she tells him she will not accept what he wants, she will save him from himself and then shares a last kiss before watching him walk away.
Now more than ever, Lavellan is determined to set things right so she disbands the Inquisition to work secretly with trusted friends to help change the Dread Wolf's heart, knowing he watches her in dreams, her sensing his silent pleas for help to save him from himself, only to vanish with the rising sun.
Let the hunt begin!
