Anyway... all this talk about Lavellan and what she does with herself between end of the main game and Trespasser - gotta admit that I've been thinking about something somewhat related to that topic for a while and that is: while Solas may have felt like fish out of water in Thedas... how likely it is that Lavellan/approved Quizzy felt so as well?
And that's even before the whole Herald of Andraste business or "the burden of wearing the title that all but replaces their name".
They may not feel as different as Solas, accept the world as it is, have friends and family that they love dearly - but he implies during balcony scene that while Inquisitor may not be different from anyone else in terms of their body, the difference in either mind or spirit is there, and it is palpable enough to give pause to Solas and eventually they become "real" for him in relatively short time.
I can't say that I can't somewhat relate to this - being a person with very different interests compared to people I live around and most members of my family (artist, gamer, someone with pretty liberal views living in bastion of conservatism and traditional values). I love them all to death, but most people I interact on any sort of regular basis can't really give me what I sometimes need in terms of emotional or intellectual sustenance (hence I spend so much time on the Internet, DUH).
Makes me think that Quizzy might as well be in similar position. They may feel too much. They may see the world as more nuanced than it is for most people. That must have felt goddamn lonely, even among friends or family they'd give their life for - and then they meet someone who 'gets' them; who feels familiar. Maybe not entirely, but enough to create a deep connection - be it in terms of friendship or more than that.
... Kinda makes me think that IF it happened to Quizzies and then Solas left, it might have created a hollow spot no other relationship could fill.
I suppose causal flings or finding people with whom Quizzies connect on different level is not impossible, especially for those who'd REALLY need it - but taking into account all this, plus what The Lone Shadow has said about people outside of the inner circle having a hard time seeing more than the title (something that the game itself addressed more than a few times), I must come to a conclusion that at least my Lavellan (this is purely my headcanon territory here) would have a really hard time to even try and justify being with someone else. It wouldn't feel right (dare I say it wouldn't feel 'real'?), nor perhaps even fair for the person they might attempt to form new relationship with.
...Also - don't you think that it would also make the mission to redeem Solas even more personal as well? That way Quizzy may not just try and prove Solas that the world is worth saving, but that there is place for them both in it as well? It would make for a very interesting internal conflict, IMO.

. I just cant decide if im going for Dorian or for Solas again... i want to try Dorian im even willing to make a male char, i never play male if i have the choice, but ill NEVER use a mode for Dorian. I like him the way he is, I am Bi and im not ashamed of it.
