I'm telling no one no, either.  But I do want to see a fic where Lavellan marries Gaspard in an effort to become sole Empress of Orlais and help the elves.

 

I don't think I'm the one to write that fic.  I stink at politics.  I guess I could try it at some point?  But my "letter to Abelas" now makes me want to write a fic where the Inquisitor actually sends such a letter to Abelas and doesn't really expect him to take her up on that offer...

He should totally accept.

Maybe I should write it then.  Goodness knows Endless Journey is not exactly a fluff piece, though I'm about to get into some tasty plot that was not originally planned for.  Something short and just for fun might be, well... fun.

I don't think Solas would ever get jealous in the traditional sense.  He did break up with her.  But I think he might be...jealous in a more convoluted, Solas-y sort of way?

I actually thought about this when I decided my Lavellan was going to get busy with other people during that two years.  I don't think he'd be angry or possessive or anything.  Depending on the nature of the relationship, I think he might be sad that someone else could bring her comfort and companionship during a time when he only caused her pain.  That he couldn't be the one who was there for her.

I have a question my friends

Does anyone have links to any good theories or posts regarding Solas and his plans in Trespasser? I've flipped back through the pages somewhat, but it's kind of all over the place X). Hopefully Geek Remix and Lady Insanity will come out with videos on theories and missed facts, but for now I'd like to settle down and read a good post!

This has probably been covered in previous pages but I'm to lazy to go back.  How do you think Lavellan would persuade Solas to abandon his plans?  Somehow I don't see capturing him and locking him up until he capitulates as a viable option.  I have this weird idea for a fic involving a known spy for Fen'Harel employed by the Inquisition for the sole purpose of communicating with Solas.  Lavellan could send him letters, but what effect would they have?  Would he read them, burn them or perhaps reply?  A caged Dread Wolf would never give in, but challenging both Fen' Harel and his followers with ideas....Hmm.

Watching her dreams is not the same as watching her constantly and seeing what she does IRL Also - wouldn't that jeopardize all of her plans of trying to at least slow him down, while she searches of a way to change his heart?

 

I think it's implied that, as a Dreamer and powerful ancient elf, Solas does have access to minds of others through dreams, but he doesn't abuse that power. He's too principled for that (for now, at least...). He felt familiarity with Blackwall, but didn't know of his past as Thom Rainier, for example.

 

Therefore, while I think he sometimes just can't help himself to not be drawn to Lavellan - or she to him - while they dream (I think there's something going on that Cole once described to Iron Bull - Bull's pain and care for Tamassaran he viewed as mother figure 'connected' them both, which is why Cole could 'read' Tamassaran's pain and worry over Bull), but doesn't directly invades her dream or observes her like Edward Cull... I mean, like a creeper does
