Oho~ I noticed Solas has brought down the spoiler tag veil and set us all free. So is this the part where we celebrate or burn in the raw chaos?
I hate to be a stick in the mud, but if you fly cam that scene Solas is walking toward the stairs definitely not the bed. He's too far to the left if you are facing the bed. I know it's fly cam, but jus' sayin'. Sure they could have done it at some point, but he wasn't walking toward the bed. Maybe he was going back down the stairs to lock the door. Ok, I'm done being a butthead.
I shall join you in this fine mud, fellow stick.
You don't really need flycam to see it, but I thought his expression was also terribly sad. Knowing what we do now, it makes sense. He knows what just happened is going to make everything infinitely more painful. For both of them. Lavellan has a little smile on her face, watching him walk away. She's probably still giddy about what a fantastic kisser he is outside the Fade. Solas, meanwhile, looks absolutely crushed by the weight on his shoulders. That said, I'm not about to dictate anyone's headcannon. Besides, I'm sure all the nights sharing a tent out in the field in some of these amazing locations, or an endearing walk on the ramparts could easily end differently and I think it's neat that they managed to keep it up to the player's interpretation so far.
Tiger and Solas never got to that point. I imagine she thought it was finally going to happen by the lake that night. Her poor little heart was probably racing, especially after that incredibly intimate Magic Eraser spell and that kiss. Everything was so durn cozy and romantic, and then... her whole world changed. :C
Wonder how many years she'll have to wait for that cliffhanger to be resolved... because IT BETTER.
On that note, I wrote that thing. With my blue-eyed Fenris in it.
Here it is. It's just a beginning right now. Literally a foot in the door, and I'm not sure where it's going to go or when it'll get there, but it was fun to write. I welcome any feedback. I'm hoping it can keep me in touch with my dear little Lavellan now that the game has ended.
At least until I get lost in the Wasteland in November.
