*Edit: I cannot find it on my soundtracks.. hmm let me see if I am in correct folder..
Quoting myself: I cannot find this song on my folders I have all the deluxe content and everything only not the last 2 multiplayer things bought cause I have no one to play with lol
The tavern songs were given away for free in a limited-time promotion on the site and promoted on all the DA social media accounts.
Thanks for the info. Missed out on that. A shame, I really enjoy them. I'll eventually, begrudgingly by the album. Hopefully some of that money goes back to the artist, rather than EA but I guess that depends on back end deals and the agreement she made when she signed the contract with EA/Bioware.
The soundtrack is included in the deluxe download of Inquisition, not the tavern songs. if you got the tavern songs for free (which are not included in the inquisition soundtrack) then by all means, send me a link or direct me to where that can be found. As for the DLC soundtracks, in my opinion they should have been included with the product.
And as specified above I don't have a problem, I have an opinion. You don't need to share it, I'm just expressing how I feel about the Origin (EA) business practices compared to other distribution companies and developers.
When the Tavern songs first came out they gave it to everyone for free and it remained free for about threes months, is what I'm saying. If you missed that it isn't BioWare's fault.
I imagine they will give us the DLC songs free for a time after they are released too.

Look in your origin file, then go into bonus and you'll find the soundtrack folder. Make sure you have it downloaded from the origin platform first.
While she's not thrilled by any means over losing her left hand and the Anchor, I think secretly, my Lavellan is a little relieved. The thing that marked her as the "Herald" is gone. She handled being Herald so poorly that I think she would throw an actual screaming temper tantrum if she became a vessel for Mythal.
See, she'd only become a vessel if she was willing. You never know she might be willing if it would mean being immortal and getting to spend eternity with Mr. SchmexyMcElfyPants. I know Flemeth wasn't immortal, but maybe it would work differently for an elf.
The Asaris confuse me, but maybe I need to play the games to understand.
Wow, heavy topic XD
Back to Solas
You only need this one scene if you listen to this 3:47 OH AND I SAW A BIT OF NUDITY IN THAT VIDEO I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS EDITED LIKE THAT XD :
It should not be too long. I am just sadly this masochist in romance LOL

Romanced Fenris = Dumped me ONCE but ONLY Happy romance I had

WHY BIOWARE WHY YOU HATE ME XD

I never blamed Bioware for me missing a promotional event they advertised. I just think it should have been part of the Inquisition soundtrack in the first place.
You can stipulate about the DLC tracks if you wish as well, though I'm done giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point. I hope your right, but I'll manage my expectations until they do so.
The fact that all DLC's for Dragon Age II as well as Dragon Age: Origins are still sold separately doesn't bode well. In fact that's why they now how have exclusive distribution rights to the Dragon Age franchise as well as others. Because deals like the Steam version of Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate edition made them lose a bunch of sales. They rather we pay each DLC individually in order to cough up more money, no matter how old a game is.
I personally detest all "equal opportunity" mods for all characters, regardless of gender or orientation, because I think it shows a fundamental lack of respect for the writers' vision, the character's preferences, and a selfish (yes, selfish) desire to change the characters and world to be what you want so you don't have to be inconvenienced by creating a character that these characters would prefer.
Same here. Which makes me feel a little hyprocritical since I have headcanons and otps that aren't in any way canon. But at the same time I feel its different because I'm not putting my own canon onto the game and acting like I've made it better.
For the few months that I was actively using Tumblr, people were perfectly kind. But I also never left the safety of the vhenantrash dumpster And now that I'm slowly poking my head back into the DA fandom, I can't say I really plan on venturing into deep space tumblr. -1d100 SANITY does not sound like a good use of my time.
There's some decent folk, but it does tend to be a bit echo chamber-y where people never really need to engage with opinions that differ from their own. And far too much of painting the issues in a black and white way.
I took Solas with my in Descent just for the flavor text...and then I spent the entire map with this face...
Because there wasn't any flavor text really in Descent. Makes sense now if there was something schemey going on between Elves and Titans. If they opened up flavor text we might get more hints and spoilers that would make it too easy for us to guess.
I got rid of my Tumblr because people got way too preachy about all kinds of things that didn't interest me. Too many requests for money, sob stories, political agenda rants, stories about cats, etc. I'm like, nope! Plus, we see all the good art here anyway.
I like the cat stories! But I agree with you on the rest. Sunny and NightSymphony allow the rest of us to be lazy
See, she'd only become a vessel if she was willing. You never know she might be willing if it would mean being immortal and getting to spend eternity with Mr. SchmexyMcElfyPants. I know Flemeth wasn't immortal, but maybe it would work differently for an elf.
I'm...not sure my Lavellan would do it even then. Depending on how apotheosis is done, she might view it as a betrayal of herself, like Solas in Crestwood.
I think by this point, she's seen how power and influence change people, and rarely for the better. She doesn't want to become like the Evanuris. It's like Harding says in Jaws: every time you're more than a person to someone, you're also less than a person. She dealt with that for three years as Herald/Inquisitor because it was her responsibility, and she had very little choice in the matter. But willingly? It would really depend on the circumstances.

For the record I still missed the flavor text...
I think it was mainly because it was developed by BioWare Austin, and thus while they communicated with the Edmonton core DA team, they likely focused on new characters like Valta in order to not step too much on companion dialogue. though we did get a bunch of lore to analyze.
See, she'd only become a vessel if she was willing. You never know she might be willing if it would mean being immortal and getting to spend eternity with Mr. SchmexyMcElfyPants. I know Flemeth wasn't immortal, but maybe it would work differently for an elf.
Yeah... no. My Lavellan would not be willing, she wants to be her own person, and not even an eternity with Solas will entice her. I'm actually even a little grossed out there might be a bit of Mythal in Solas.
Edit: I mean, at what stage does he stop being Solas and become more Mythal? If she becomes Mythal's vessel, she is no longer Lavellan.
In regards to Solas/Mythal, I am heavily leaning towards the whole guardian relationship more than a romantic one, although I really wouldn't be surprised if it was. And I don't think I'd be too bothered about it either. If Solas was finally spurred into action against the Evanuris with Mythal's death, then he was acting with his heart. But his desire to bring down the Veil in Trespasser seems to be him thinking with his head, to fix a perceived mistake he made in the past, and even though we know he loves Lavellan deeply, he broke up with her specifically so he could carry on thinking with his head, and not with his heart.
I've been thinking more recently about how Solas reacts to drinking an Inquisitor drinking from the Well*. He knows it would bind the Inquisitor to Mythal's will, and he knows this not because Abelas told us, but because he knows what it's like being bound to her, and this is leading me to think of a whole bunch of sad thoughts. Solas clearly held Mythal to high regard despite the fact she kept slaves too, Abelas and his sentinels were incredibly dedicated...
What if the relationship, and the whole binding-business, extends to more... brainwashyness? Like the slaves of the Evanuris were brainwashed into wanting to serve these people as gods over a time when the Evanuris collectively went insane with power and had to find some means of keeping their people in check?
Any thoughts?
*Or was supposed to react, the whole "begged you not to do it" dialogue is a bug, but it shows he was supposed to be a lot more dramatic about it, but for whatever reason they left it out. Probably because it'd make him too obvious.
I've been thinking on this for several days now and from what I've gathered in the game...especially from Cole is that and this is just a theory...that Solas was either a spirit that became an elf like Cole became a human and then swore himself to protect Mythal ( he was already friends with her and wanted to help) or was already born an elf and was a slave of Mythal's and had her Vallaslin on his face but had it taken off later in life. I think he might have been one of her guardians once but that is just a theory. Also I agree with the brainwashing of the slaves that could have happened.
EDIT: Sorry I misread the part about the brainwashing...oopsy.

I would argue that Flemeth is both Flemeth the Alamarri witch of legend, AND Mythal. And perhaps if Kieran had held the old god soul for longer, he would be both Kieran AND Urthemiel. With the two personalities blending into one. So Lavellan would be some kind of harmony between her old self, and Mythal.
As for Solas himself, I don't particularly like the idea of Mythal pulling the strings on nearly everything in the DA universe. It's more interesting when there are more independent parties involved. I'd much prefer it if Solas and Mythal are allies (albeit complicated ones), but don't have the same goals or purpose, and one is not unduly influencing the other.

This. I'd really hate for them to cheapen things and become a Thedas soap opera. Which is why I'm glad they addressed the vessel question in Trespasser, at least.

Can you imagine if the option to become a godlike Fade whatever like the ancient elves of old was offered only to a romanced/respected Lavellan? So many others would flip their collective s*it. But I can see something like that being an eventual end for Solas and romanced Lavellan. They go off to be spirits in the Fade forevermore, exploring and so on.
The idea that Lavellan would become host to Mythal and Solas would then happily mack on her is just weird to me. Whatever the "complicated" feelings he has for Mythal are, I can't imagine that playing nicely with the idea his lover now houses her. Just... weird. And I'm one who doesn't care who he banged or loved in his past.

LOL. Same for mine.

Mine just doesn't want anything to do with Mythal. She was so angry that Mythal abandoned the elves to live a life of cruel subjugation that she is very embittered by it to say the least. She certainly wouldn't want to house Mythal's soul inside her and have her personality meld with Mythal's regardless of power or immortality or being with Solas.
Single favorite part of the Trespasser DLC. The drop mic moment where you basically say I saved the world as myself and all you saw was the 'Inquisition'. Guess what...I'm out. You can have the Inquisition and you can have the title, I got some world saving to do just me and my buddy's.
Hubby convinced me on my second playthrough not to disband and agreed that the best option was disbanding.
Ok, so I'm trying to push myself into writing more, and I might start by reading to get ideas. If anyone here on this thread writes fanfic, would you mind sharing your AO3/FF profile? And do you have good motivating tips for writing?

Spoiler
This week has been super hard for me. I'm currently on the family holiday from hell, trying to stay polite and civil with my racist and homophobic family for long periods of time (if they weren't my family I'd call them on their bullshit, but doing so may result in becoming estranged). It's been stressful trying to save face, and I'm exhausted in too many ways. This thread has made me laugh a tonne and you guys are all super cool and great, I want ya to know, before my degree starts and I no longer have as much time to browse. Thank you for being who you are.

Harding is an insightful dwarf! That is true, and I'm not a fan of people trying to be god-like. The vessel idea is just a possible road DA might go down. I'm not attached to it. Some Lavellans would be willing some wouldn't. The Mythal saga would have to be fleshed out a lot more before my Lavellan would agree to being bound to her spirit. As of right now, she doesn't trust Mythal. The notion of the PC as a vessel (in Morrigan's place) has just been kicking around in my head since I found out Flemeth was Mythal.

*Edit: This video is a little edited lol but you get the idea.
Okay, I get the gender is meaningless thing, but why they use she/her, daughter, mother and matron then? How can they not be female 0.0
Ah whatever, as a zipline instructor once said when he mistook a girl for a boy "Ah well, gender is a state of mind anyway" *shoves her off* (at a Christian camp no less!)
I feel your pain!! Not with Mass Effect, I've heard enough people fangirl rant about Garrus to know he's the one I'd choose if I ever got the game, but with Dragon Age first play through was:
Origins: Alistair "nobley" steals my Amell's archdemon kill. I thought her noble death would be a good way to end the game (and I didn't trust Morrigan), so I mentally prepared myself for her death "Goodbye Alistair my love" aaaaannnnddd then he goes and is all like "this is my duty, I'd never let you do this"
DA: Hey look it's Anders, I'm gonna romance him. Holy fluff what happened to Anders?? No, NO! NONONONO!! He did NOT JUST DO WHAT I THINK HE DID!!
And of course Inquisition: -.-
But I can't lie, I liked the idea of the drama of sacrificing myself in Origins, I knew from spoilers that Anders would do something to betray you, and I was on the Solas speculation thread when they were theorizing he had something to do with Fen'Harel.
I disbanded on all of my characters...I thought it might be the best option and I really hope it is. I figure if I didn't disband the Inquisition solas would know what we were doing or planning to convince him to stop with his plan.
