theres 4 you can find and if you do you can tell him he's the dw before he tells you and he's like well done.available to all races
Ah, okay.
But where are they? I thought I was pretty thorough in the DLC but I haven't had it come up yet.

Well done sounded a bit... patronizing to me. But maybe I'm just being easily irritable.
There was also an option where you tell him, "The Qunari are after you and I tried to get here first." (Not an exact quote.) To which he responds, "I know." in the most patronizing tone ever. That one I never pick.

Especially if frilly cakes are add into the sex, if you know what I'm saying...

That's the one I picked, because she was concerned.

I like where this is going.

It was a perfectly justified response on her side, it's his reaction that irked me.

From the video I heard it from, it didn't sound patronizing to me, since he sounded so sad. Like, "Oh no, we're going to have this talk. I was afraid of this talk. She knows and now she's going to hate me." But maybe I'm remembering it wrong, I haven't actually played DLC...

It's probably just me then. It was just this one response though. The rest of the scene, yes, he looked sad, afraid, bitter, it was heartbreaking.
Why?
Because you're insulting my Lavellan.
(I'm being playful here, don't worry.)
That line made perfect sense to me in the heat of that moment, though. A threat to someone she loves, well 'I'm going after him'. Cole greatly approved, made it feel even more right.

I've played it, chose that response, and watched it...a lot. It doesn't sound patronizing to me either. It's just...I know...and to me, acknowledging her concern in trying to get there first, to help. And then the conversation.

It's not just you. The response sounded patronizing to me too, so I didn't go with it. You get to call him out as Fen'Harel anyway and have him do the "I was Solas first" line regardless, so I preferred that with my romanced Lavellan. Whatever else was going on, she'd have given him such a look for speaking in that tone to her. Dread effing Wolf or no.

Considering how ruthless Solas is to the point where he will kill even his own friends to achieve his goals and some Quizz's (such as mine) would kill Solas if there isn't any other option. One of the ending to DA4 could end up with Solas killing Lavellan. Or maybe that wouldn't even be the ending, but instead the intro to DA4. It gets rid of the Quizz so that the game can introduce a new hero to clean up Solas's mess. Or not the intro, but you later find the Quizz's dead body. Or maybe Dorain and new PC team up to find the Quizz and when they find Solas, Dorian is angry and scared that Solas had killed them. And Solas is like... I'm sorry. Then Dorian tries to kill him if the Quizz was friends/or lovers with him.

It seems to me there's something going on that's making him rush. He was still weak when he woke up and had to resort to Cory. If he had time, why wouldn't he wait until he was much stronger? He has trust issues and has made mistakes before, so if he could, he would rather do the job himself. His awakening was before he had doubts and when he still didn't see everyone as real people, so the reason for the rush can't be that he's worried he might lose his nerve.
I'm assuming it has something to do with either the Blight accelerating (there's even red lyrium in the Fade now, yes?) the Evanuris's prison weakening, or whatever powers lay beyond the sea, or maybe even that the Old God=Seals on something nastier's prison theories are on to something.
What? I can have a lot of assumptions at one time. ![]()

No, sometimes tone maybe just turns to crap online (which is why I made sure to let you know I was actually being playful - sometimes the elcor have it right.
). But I think it's good we have all of these perspectives that feel so individual to us.
I would *never* insult your Lavellan. I'm too afraid of her stabbing me.

I personally don't like the way she says the line when picking "You're the Dread Wolf". It comes across as overly accusatory and combative. I prefer the concerned line...especially since the affection came out again after all this time. Cementing the choice of the heart option. She cares...a lot.

The "I'm so clever, I worked out you're the dread wolf!" line gave me a bit of a giggle, but I agree that it feels a bit jarring when a few minutes earlier, Inky was like "that's why Solas left! He was helping us fight the Qunari!" ![]()
TBH I didn't find "Well done." patronizing - it was more like "well duh, OF COURSE you'd figure this out. It's was as easy for you as cutting all those Qunari."
(gotta admire the confidence Solas had in Quizzy dealing with Viddasala and her team - he might have made everyone aware of the danger and slowed the Qunari down, but the bulk of the job of eliminating them was left to Inquisitor and his/her team. And he still admits that he has 'drawn' Inquisitor to him, meaning that he wasn't worried that he/she might falter along the way.)
The heart option may have been a bit more 'spur of a moment' thing than I'd prefer, but I can't say that I have much of a problem with it as well - even if Lavellan figured out Solas was the Dread Wolf already and was contemplating what it all meant in her head, she actually didn't yet know the real reason for his sudden departure, while the information she's found in all those elvhen locations was rather clear that Fen'Harel was a hero in eyes of people he saved and fought for, and that Solas was personally involved in stopping the Qunari, activating all those defenses and making life difficult for them.

Mine was just trying to play it cool (plus I've read a rather confident tone she says "You're the Dread Wolf" as something of a somewhat smug "a-ha! I KNEW all this time there was more to you than you revealed!"), but then emotions overcame her ![]()
