Eeeee I love that gif   I'm sure at least one of my Inquisitors will be a little pissy with Solas doing this sort of thing (haughty, stuck- up, belligerently independent human noble Inquisitor perhaps), but the others will probably be swooning too hard and trusting in Solas' expertise too much to care.

So it seems the PAX SP demo is going to be the same as the one from Gamescom. I have mixed feelings about this. One the one hand its not the 'brand-new' demo it was advertised as, so it's disappointing. But! It's a demo featuring Solas. And the presentation will be an hour long. So we might actually get a better look at him, or more of him speaking. Hm.

Fingers crossed that more Solas screen time just means more time for someone to say he's an LI.

I wish I could say I was surprised but having announced MP just two days before PAX there was a big chance it would be the focus.  Oh well.  Maybe something interesting will come out of the interviews done at PAX?  I guess those might all be about MP too.  Although they really said nothing about romances before the Varric reveal either.

D'you think it'll be longer...? The one we watched from Gamescom definitely wasn't that long. It was, what, like, fifteen minutes? Maybe twenty. But definitely not much more than that. So, for a whole hour... There'd have to be more to it? Unless it's not all footage and they're also gonna talk some... But I dunno...

I hope they don't talk over the demo's too much like the last times.  I still remember the one at E3 and then the one recently, when we finally got to hear Solas, and they talked right over him! Still not over that! Okay, I am. 

 

I'm excited to learn more about who the multiplayer characters will be then any more demo's.  I've seen enough battle mechanics and want to see other things like Skyhold and the PC UI.

For me, it really all depends on if Solas is a LI. If he is, it'll be Solas, of course, Cole, and switching between Casandra and Blackwall, with my female, elf, mage.  If he isn't, then it'll be Varric, and a combination of the others, mostly Solas, though, with my male, dwarf, rogue.

Yeah, the last demo was much shorter than an hour.  I think some media people played a longer one, so it had to have been available at Gamescom.  Maybe that's what they'll show?  Or maybe they'll talk a lot.  Especially over everything Solas, Blackwall, and Cole say.

Solas, Cole, and a warrior so the two mages and rogue don't get squished too badly.  I like all of the warriors and want to see all of their banter with Solas and Cole, so I'll probably switch them out.

I might end up getting DA:I for PC because I don't have Xbox live and I heard you need an internet connection for the files to transfer.
Would that be the Orgins account that I need for that? I haven't pre ordered it yet because I am waiting on my check and I am dirt poor. Anyway, I will let you guys know if I make the transition.

 

Onto another topic: I have seen how some people feel about Solas (people who aren't fans) and I wonder how their opinions may be after the game is released. I'm one of those wierdos that might not necessarily be attracted to or even like someone at first glance but getting to know them can transform them before my eyes into something else. Now, I don't expect that everyone will come around but I am interested in seeing what will transpire over this thread, and others, after we all get the game. Then, we will all have evidence of his greatness!

I will definitely be having Solas in my party a lot about 99% of the time. I will be switching a few of them out every now and then...except Solas.
It would be nice for them to just go ahead and tell us the last 2 LI's at PAX but I'm not gonna hold my breath. :/

Yeah, EA is just great about having to connect to the internet... I am sorely going to miss Steam. Literally all I played on Origin before was ME3 but I guess now it's gotta include DA:I too... [sigh]

But as for what you need, do you have Origin installed on your computer? If you do, then that's all you need for the game. If not, just get it from Origin.com and it'll run through there. Any copy of the game will need that, anyway, and digital PC download gains you the ability to pre-load! 

 

I also feel your pain on the money front. Aside from so totally wanting to pre-order, I haven't been able to yet, because... bills. Which just had a nasty, unexpected, uncalled for increase that I am so unbelievably displeased about. Like I wasn't dirt poor enough... I'm really hoping to be able to some time next month, though... [whines softly]

 

edit: Ah, Karm, you...partial ninja'd me! I blame my cat. Her adorable chirping costs me again.
