But tumblr user Kelgrid did do a screen edit to add in Solas and Cole
(EDIT: I worded that like it was supposed to relate to something we were discussing. What I mean to say is Kelgrid did make another piece with Solas in it, and I don't think it was ever posted in the Solas thread)

Yyyeah, the problem is I can't find them easily.  I had one linked but with the thread merge I would have lost it anyhow.  They are surely scattered across most of the 300 pages of thread, since I think I began posting in the thread fairly early on...  Is there a way to search for only the posts of a specific user?

Moving over my first attempt at fan fiction (resisting urge to edit): Companion Questing

 

Inquisitor enters the Keep, weighted down with packages. She fumbles a bit as one threatens to fall from her grasp but her natural dexterity snags the corner of the bag just in time. Solas looks up from the book he was engrossed in, startled at the noise.

 

Solas: Inquisitor! What in...

 

Vivienne comes waltzing in from behind positively beaming: Right! Now wasn't that the best. Although I am very disappointed at the shades of green for the season. A deeper shade would offset the gold embroidery perfectly. Ah well. I suppose roughing it builds character. Be careful, Inquisitor. Those shoes are priceless.

 

Solas: Ah.

 

Inquisitor rolls her eyes as Vivienne prances away continuing to talk about fashion. (Quest complete! +100 approval Vivienne)

 

Solas reaches out and relieves the Inquisitor of two of the packages as she sighs audibly. She looks at the handsome elf. Leaning over she kisses him on the cheek.

 

Inquisitor: Don't tell the others, but you are my favorite mage.

 

Solas, smirking : Just between you and me, my dear.

 

Solas gives her a wink as she smiles slightly before following Vivienne down the hallway.

 

 

Second attempt: Solas Goes Missing

 

The Inquisitor enters the castle hall, brows furrowed, a slight look of frustration. She glances towards the downstairs study and hesitates. After all, she had already checked there twice.

 

Varric enters and catches the Inquisitor rubbing her hands nervously.

 

Varric: Something wrong Twinkles?

 

Inquisitor: No...yes, it is just I seem to have lost some...thing. And didn't I tell you to knock it off with the Twinkles business.

 

Varric: Hey, I can't help it if you light up the sky like a star. Albeit a hazy green one, that is totally saving our skins. It's a compliment.  I mean anyone that can stop the demons from raining down on us is golden in my book. So what have you lost this time? I remember the last time. Cause I am not mucking down in the swamp like last time just to find your favorite boots. Which is a story you still owe me for helping you.

 

Inquisitor blushes and then coughs: Uh yeah, no, I'm actually looking for Solas. I swear he is almost as good at disappearing as Cole is.

 

Varric chuckles: Heh. Maybe they've gone off somewhere. I know Solas was interested in Cole's ability and attempt to adapt to human form. To be honest, I didn't really understand it.

 

Inquisitor: Yeah maybe. I know he lost me somewhere at 'the creative adaptive elements of his nature to identify human emotions and choices suggest an evolutionary process hereto unknown in any parts of the fade.' After that... I think I got distracted.

 

The Inquisitor shrugged with a slight grin.  Her face grew thoughtful: Hmm, but I know he is not with Cole right now.

 

Varric with a slight raise of his eyebrow: You sound certain.

 

Inquisitor: Yep. Cole! Stop fidgeting dear boy and tell me if you have seen Solas.

 

Cole's voice from behind a pillar, the sound of feet scuffling together: Sorry Inquisitor. I can look if you want though. Would it be helpful? I like to be helpful.

 

Inquisitor answering kindly: Yes, Cole, if you have time. Thank you.

 

Cole answering brightly: Okay. I'll find him.

 

Varric, as the sound of a door opening and closing echoes: How do you do that? I swear I jump every time he appears but you just stand there calm and collected.

 

Inquisitor shakes her head: The nose knows, Varric. I don't even want to speculate when his last bath was, but we are working on it. Poor boy. I mean, spirit. Well, that still doesn't help me find Solas, I guess I will go see if Dorian has any quests for me, but I was really hoping....

 

Varric, watches as the Inquisitor wanders off with a huge grin on his face: Yeah, I know what you were hoping for and I think it is time for me to coach a certain elf on the ways of romance. After all, 'Parting the Veil' isn't going to write itself. 

 

Last one: Caught in the React

 

Varric scribbling furiously in his notebook muttering as he writes: And then the lanky elf touched the Inquisitors face with a trembling hand. His eyes intense and passionate locked on hers as he asks hoarsely. "Are you okay. I swear I thought I lost you. I...I couldn't...not you too."

 

Solas, flushing and slightly annoyed: Dwarf, that is not how it happened at all, I simply...reacted.

 

Varric, grinning: Yes, I know Elf. BUT IT SHOULD HAVE! My readers are going to love this. I can finally buy that villa on the beach once the demons are all taken care of.

 

Varric rubs his hands together gleefully while Solas stares at him with an edge of panic in his eyes, the Inquisitor trying not to laugh nearby. 

 

Solas: Life was much simpler in the fade.

Yes. You go to my content under your name up top then you click on only posts it should have all of the posts that you posted.

I Just had to drop in the new thread to say that I love it before I go back to lurking! Solas seems to have a pretty nice laid back fan base and I feel way more comfortable posting in here than anywhere else on the board it seems. I also wish I had something better to contribute but I don't really .

 

Anyway I do get this worrying feeling that Solas is going to have some nefarious agenda going on while I picture Dorian cocky but with a heart of gold type.....Not that it would matter, I'd still prefer Solas.

 

I also didn't mind that Dorian was the next big reveal because that could only mean Solas is next.....Right? Right? Right?

 

I could only Imagine this thread if the next character reveal is Leliana though ha.

Solas: Gladly. (launches a ball of ice that freezes a portion of the tavern ceiling)

Blackwall: Getting a little rusty?

Solas: Give it a minute. (kicks the wall)

(The frozen portion of the ceiling gives way, dropping a bed with Iron Bull and a rather frightened barmaid on the ground floor)

Iron Bull: (stands up) Did Dorian make some new friends? Because if he did I'm going to need some pants.

Solas: (muttering under his breath) I should have stayed at the keep.

Iron Bull: (running upstairs) I love Tavern Tuesday!
