Solas/Cole/Cassandra

I was already going to put Cassandra in my party, now after all the reveals Solas seems to be my favorite mage so he gets a spot too. I don't like bratty, so Sera won't come along and I'm a bit tired of Varric after DA2, this mean Cole might end up my rogue dude (I play a mage in 1st playthrough).
It seems like this might end up my team for DAI: Solas/Cole/Cassandra.

I don't think Patrick Weekes sounded less excited. It sounded like he was trying to match the tone with the character, or like he was being really ambiguous. But even if Solas turns out to be completely 'normal' I think I will still love him.
Really excited for his open-mindedness. We have had almost no companions open to most anything.
I felt like he was playing him down a bit, so says my gut anyway...

Solas would be super perfect as an LI for the elf Inquisitor I was planning. He seems to have exactly the same kind of reasoning I wanted my Inquisitor to have. It's a shame if he's not available, but there's always Dorian.

Now that I've had time to fully digest this information...
I'm so damn excited for his character. On the plus(?) side, even if he isn't a LI (prayer circle please) he seems like an incredibly interesting character regardless, which is fantastic.
Also, THANK YOU to whoever decided to release the interview today instead of having to wait in anticipation through the holiday.. I wasn't expecting this 
I'm so utterly NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL in Solas's character so far and it is the greatest feeling!!

Totally! I think they are toying with us and I think that is why PW sounds a bit disinterested. He's seems to be a long way from average based on other mages we've encountered in DAO and DA2, he sounds pretty unique.
