I have to say that my faith in Bioware is pretty much restored after the Trespasser DLC. I think it's one of their top works. It was almost perfect. The tight story, compelling characters, great voice acting, and the music just fit the mood so well. Of course, there is Solas. I think he is the only fictional character that I have obsessed so much about. I thought Bioware was going downhill after all the rushed work in ME3's ending and in DA2, but I'm hopeful now that their future games are going to be even more perfect than their best work so far.
I agree, I didn't sleep after I played it for like a day and I squeed through it every five minutes out of excitement.
The art direction, story direction, score and dialogue were nearly perfect. I laughed and cried, and then laughed again when Cassandra read Varric's book, I thought it was kind of genius letting her read and do character imitations after such a heavy scene (especially if you romanced Solas), it actually really helped me relax and appreciate the DLC instead of lament over recent discoveries.
I've obsessed many times over fictional characters, but this is the strongest obsession, this dude made me read TME, Asunder, WoT 1&2 and pretty much all of the lore and history of the game. Before Solas I was just playing Dragon Age and enjoying it, I read codices but barely paid attention and usually didn't understand what they were about, it was just another well done RPG for me, after Solas it became an actual world for me.
I'm so immersed in this world I almost asked my boyfriend to go on the next vacation to Thedas, in my defense I was half asleep.
