Part of me wished that a Cadash Inquisitor could have ruined this dramatic scene entirely by quipping, "Stone met, fellas!"

With all the political and cultural views on elves, and the response to 'elf-blooded' people, on multiple sides of the equation, as well as among elves of various backgrounds, at least it makes for good conflict and story fuel for canon and headcanon alike. Sera is a great example too since she has a very complex relationship to elven culture but then also suffered because of racial attitudes and deception. She's on the other end of it but that conflict does affect her in ways.

I do wish there were some way Alistair could've found out about Fiona.

Seriously! Especially if he's a Grey Warden.

I just talked to Fiona after the Western Approach, and she mentioned "that Grey Warden, Alistair... he seems like a nice young man." If you ask her if she wants to go meet him, she says, "No... I'm just thinking about the ironic paths the Maker sets for us," or something like that. It's like, "He's literally right outside, why don't you go talk to him?" Or the devs could have written some cutscene where Alistair comes into the mage tower on business and then stumbled upon her.

Opportunity = wasted.

I know! I thought at least Kieran could have met his other grandma, but nope...only the "happy" family reunion in the fade.  :(

Seriously, right?!  :o

If you play your cards right, it's possible to have all three of them at Skyhold at once: Fiona after Redcliffe, Grey Warden Alistair after Crestwood but before Adamant, Morrigan and Kieran after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. Fiona, Alistair, and Kieran can all be in the same castle at the same time but no one goes to talk to each other. (Except maybe Alistair coming to see his son, but he and Morrigan just have a quiet conversation about Kieran and that's it.)

Such a wasted opportunity. DX

So, I had this thought today about my Lavellan post-Trespasser and I wanted to hear what you guys imagined because I'm at a bit of a loss on what to think.

If you disbanded the Inquisition....where did your Lavellan go to live?

Cause it dawned on me that my Lavellan doesn't have a clan to return to so I was all like "Wait, no Skyhold, no clan....where is her base now?"

I kind off thought it would be funny if she bought some fancy place with a balcony overlooking the market in Val Royeaux.....just so she can irritate some Orlesians nobles with the fact that a rabbit is their neighbor....but I didn't really know how likely this could work out. And then I realized I need to figure out some sort of home base for my Lavellan.

So, where do your Lavellans live now?

Sorry, if this was already discussed at some point and I missed it.

Someone after my own heart. Replace Miranda with Jack and Tali, and you have my exact list of straight women I've always wanted to romance. As self-centred as this is, I think I would be a much, much, much bigger fan of Morrigan if she were more gay :P

Your avatar keeps making me both smile and gives me feels.

From the last scene of Trespasser it looked like they were operating from Haven. Maybe they head out for Tevinter immediately and establish a new base over there?

The last scene in Trespasser made me think the disbanded Inquisition may be using rebuilt Haven as their base of operations for "Project Save Solas from Himself." So...my Lavellan is back at Haven because Haven will always be important to her.  ;)

My canon Warden was an Elf mage that romanced Alistair.  Long story short I have never done a DAI PT with that world state because well Hawke or Alistair, how can I choose?  Anyways my Archer Adaar has that world state from Origins because I used a male Hawke that isn't as important to me as my purple Lady Hawke.  I never watched any videos of Warden Alistair in DAI so I was grinning like a fool last night when I finally went to Crestwood.  I did the dark ritual with Morrigan and it was really great seeing Alistair meet his son.  My sappy little heart was going all a pitter patter when he talked about my Warden and how much he loves her.  Awwwww been so long since I've had the Alistair feels.  I sided with the Templars though so I feel horrible that his mother is dead ><.

Kirkwall.

She is a comtesse now... Lavellan clan even has political power in Kirkwall, it would be wonderful  :P

Anyhow, in my head it's just a cover, as if to show that she is retired, but she is still working tirelessly on saving Solas.

I'm pretty sure my Lavellan needs to stay clear of the Free Marches for a while.

Wycome doesn't need the wrath of a fire wielding knight enchanter to descend upon it.

My Inky also disbanded, but I always assumed that they created a new HQ somewhere else (possibly in the ruins of Haven?). Otherwise I imagine she would travel between her clan (they survived in my play through, and I didn't even meta-game!) and her new fancy house in Kirkwall. There she would play Wicked Grace with Varric, Hawke and the others and make stupid puns about her hand... :P

"Deal me a hand will you Varric"

"Really Inquisitor?"

"What, I could really use a hand here!"

"----"

"Too soon?"

"Yes"

"But on the other hand..."

"Really Inquisitor, just stop"

"Alright... I just can't imagine why everyone is so up in arms about it"

:D

In that boat too... I was thinking she probably headed up to Tevinter pretty quickly, but then I was thinking about how the logistics of that would work. I mean even being besties with Dorian probably wouldn't protect her so I'm not too sure :/ I like the Kirkwall and Haven ideas people mentioned though :)

Hmm, I actually think that Lavellan is going to have multiple bases of operation that she goes to for different reasons. It's too easy for Solas to find her and stop her if she has one main base of operations.

Mine shuttles between Kirkwall and Wycome, though she probably spends more time in Kirkwall.  I imagine if any city is friendly toward someone who stopped a huge explosive qunari plot, it'd be Kirkwall.

(Though off-topic curiosity: did anyone let Seb have Kirkwall?  And if so, does Varric still become viscount?)

While interesting, I wouldn't take this scene as being literally in Haven - I bet they reused that cell more because of all the mirroring one of the first scenes with our Inquisitor (one where they wake up, chained), rather than suggest that they're back at Haven.

Same for Solas's post-Mythal breakup scene.  I figured they reused Crestwood because it was pretty, and Solas didn't actually trek you halfway across southern Thedas just to grab your butt and dump you.

If no one had ever told me 'hey, this is actually happening in that grubby skeleton-filled dump in Crestwood' I would never have realised and probably would have just gone on assuming it was somewhere vaguely near to Skyhold.

Especially if surviving Ancient Elves might be prepared to attack Skyhold in the future.

We know the site's apparently sacred to them according to Morrigan and Gatsi tells us in his notes that the elven arrow and numerous notches in the walls suggst it's been under attack in the past. Then there was also that weird note about us "encroaching on higher powers" that we got in Varric's wartable missions that might be related to why it was abandoned when we moved in.

It was extremely weird that this plot thread was never addressed?

Well the epilogue suggests that Inquisitors are all over the place, sometimes as if appearing out of nowhere on their LIs side (like in case of romanced Cassandra or Dorian).

I'm really hoping that this means we're going to use Tevene eluvians. Dorian was very clear in Shattered Library that with so many samples uncovered, he'd likely be able to copy the technology and that he's willing to try and do this, for the sake of creating something useful.

Not only it would be a good compromise between story realism and gameplay mechanics (no more "let's go for a short stroll from Skyhold... to Crestwood!"), we could jump all over the map, including some very exotic places.

That's both exciting and terrifying.  Because something tells me that the ancient elves won't be happy with this Tevinter upstart replicating their ancient magic.  And if anyone harms so much as a hair on Dorian Pavus's head, I'll make Solas's plan for global annihilation look tame  <_<

I headcanoned that in Skyhold Solas and Lavellan went to read a book together and in that some other instance they traveled north for some reason, set up camp in Crestwood and Solas took the opportunity to show Lavellan a place he deems special, afterwards Solas returned to camp alone, Lavellan half an hour or hour after him.

I just can't ignore the Crestwood loading screen, and I don't want to make that place less special by declaring it is was just reused, since the cave area was touched by elven history, so I think it was special in some manner...

Coypheus sent troops to search the ruins after all.

Sorta related.  Woops and totally off-topic.

How could you?!  :o

Eh, to each their own. My "canon" worldstate is a City Elf who romanced Alistair, left him a Warden, then had him perform the Dark Ritual with Morrigan. My "canon" Inquisitor also sided with the mages, because, well... Dalish elven mage. To me, choosing between Alistair and Hawke is easy because I love Alistair but could care less about Hawke.  <_<

The only issue is, on my first playthrough I got through Adamant before Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. First I was just rushing to meet Alistair because my girl hero-worshipped him and the Warden, then I thought, "OMG, demon army! Gotta stop that right away." But I didn't know that Alistair would leave Skyhold right after Adamanent, then Morrigan joined right after Wicked Eyes (along with her son), and I thought, "Oh... I wish Alistair was here to see his son!"

In my "perfectionist playthrough" I intend to have them meet, but I'm not sure when to do Wicked Eyes. I did it last in my first playthrough, and it seemed fitting somehow. I feel like if I do Wicked Eyes before Adamant, it should be before seeing Erimond in the Western Approach, since it seems wrong to just let him rest and recoup with a demon army inside Adamant while I attend an Orlesian Ball. Then again, if I headcanon that the Orlesian Ball date just happened to be just after he got into Adamant, and the Inquisitor couldn't miss it for anything and Inquisition forces are searching for a way into Adamant while at the ball, maybe it's not so bad... *grumble grumble*
