honestly, one of my biggest hopes is that in DA4 we will finally see Solas in wolf form. I am crossing my fingers for something gigantic and terrifying and astounding and maybe slightly demonic. At least, I presume given that shapeshifting was probably much more common in ancient times (Kieran hints at this in his first dialogue with lavellan, and it would explain why Morrigan was taught to do so), so I'd guess the 'wolf' part of the Dread Wolf is somewhat literal.

 

Not only that, but I hope we get a chance to ride the giant wolf. Not sure how that would work though. Eh, it's too cheesy so it probably won't happen. But then they did do the Solas visits you in your dreams thing which is right out of fanfiction lolz.

I was so angry at him at first that I wanted to pick all those options. But then my desire for a happy ending made me pick the other option. I think he's redeemable.

 

I had already played my Cullenmancer so I had my HEA so I wasn't that fussed about the sudden breakup. I think he's redeemable too but my girl wasn't gonna gamble with that.

 

Yeah, the game treats you like high-approval friendship quizzy if you pick the stabbity options.  I want that to be a boss fight, but I want it like Saren where it can be a straight-up fight, or more of a social boss fight depending on the quizzy.

 

Oh yes that'll be the best. Verbal beatdowns can be so fun when done right.

So playing DAI, I just got the banter between Dorian and Solas about the orb.  Dorian mentions there are depictions of ancient Tevinter Dreamers holding orbs like the one Corypheus has.  I know Solas is much stronger now but he probably still needs a great deal of power to tear down the Veil.  What if he's going to Tevinter to look for another orb?  It's possible the ancient humans took them from the elves and they've been gathering power like his did all this time.  And I know there were orbs in the Vir Dirthara (honestly it kind of looked like someone was bored and using the orbs and some statues for some impromptu bowling) but those ones may have been inert and powerless.

Because I'm a terrible person, I went and scribbled on that mural of the sleeping Evanuris (like the true conspiracy theorist I am in Paint, and in red, defacing it in a most horrific fashion with my handwriting). I am pretty sure that thing that looks like eyes in the black circle represents the Titans.

That's because other people don't see the cute fluffy side including Solas himself.

Which reminds me, I'm still really nervous about how he said he "had" plans for dealing with them. As in his original plans were ruined or altered and untenable by some other factor, or outside force (you have to watch this man and his verb tenses, he is very specific). Maybe they're already out and causing him problems, maybe the only ace he had left was the orb, and now the only thing he cares about is removing the Veil because that's the only thing he feels he can "fix" (ugh, idiot, moron, no no no, plz just let me handle this).
