Because I'm a terrible person, I went and scribbled on that mural of the sleeping Evanuris (like the true conspiracy theorist I am in Paint, and in red, defacing it in a most horrific fashion with my handwriting). I am pretty sure that thing that looks like eyes in the black circle represents the Titans.

TyxD2WL.jpg

How am I already out of likes? :( Anywho, I like this :)

That's because other people don't see the cute fluffy side including Solas himself.

Yea, I think that comes across particularly well if you pick the option where you say you never thought he was the sort of person who would do something like that.

But what if you can get him and his giant wolf form on your side to fight with you? I mean there are seven gods to kill if they aren't already out.

Which reminds me, I'm still really nervous about how he said he "had" plans for dealing with them. As in his original plans were ruined or altered and untenable by some other factor, or outside force (you have to watch this man and his verb tenses, he is very specific). Maybe they're already out and causing him problems, maybe the only ace he had left was the orb, and now the only thing he cares about is removing the Veil because that's the only thing he feels he can "fix" (ugh, idiot, moron, no no no, plz just let me handle this).

I noticed that as well, but he also said at one point in the convo they are banished forever which is also oddly specific especially in a convo where you are talking about him taking down the veil. I'm thinking at this point there's more than just the veil keeping them away, but idk what it could be :(

And now I just got the banter where Dorian calls Solas a special and unique snowflake.  I love that one.

Me too! I also really like all the dialogues where Dorian comments on something Solas doing as being a Tevinter technique only to be set straight by him. Their interactions are all around awesome. Also the one where to stop dwelling on mistakes of the past and focus on the present. That one always amused me (after I knew about Solas that is).

Quick Q for you guys. Is it possible to romance Solas if you've chosen to spare the Gray Wardens? I'm hoping that's not sabotaged now. I've gotten nothing but approval so far, but now... Not sure how high it has to be for the romance.

Yep yep, I did that. I also never let him kill the mages in his personal quest. I really like that they made it so you don't have to mindlessly agree with him on everything in order to romance him :)

You know, everyone goes on about how all of Solas's plans inevitably fail.

That's not quite true.

Solas planned to push you into position as Inquisitor.  Success.  He planned to get you to close the Breach.  Success.  He planned to take out Corypheus.  Success!

And later, in Trespasser, he plans to lure you to him (despite being very close and certainly capable of just walking his own hind end over to you in the first place but of course it's Solas and he has to make it difficult) so that he can save you from the Anchor.  Again, success.

It's only when Solas tries to change the fabric of reality that he fails and fails hard.  Maybe we should have a chat with him about that.  Just work on those small, achievable goals, Solas...

Wtb more likes! But yea these are valid points. Basically he should focus on being the person behind the scenes pulling the strings instead of trying to do things himself :P

The farthest-fetched hope I can even sort of consider being available to us, in terms of Solas being saved is MAYBE they will let us work with him, side by side in a relationship, to help the current elves. I really think that's the most we could ever hope for. If we get that, we'll be really, really lucky.

Redemption by death is much, much more likely.

Okay, I need some help from you guys: I'm currently constructing the plot for another fanfiction, a Mall AU, to be specific. (Because I just recently found out how FUN AU's really are.) The premise is that the Inquisition is basically a mall, freshly opened after "The Conclave" (one of the most popular malls in Thedas) has blown up under mysterious circumstances. The sole surviver of said explosion was Lavellan, who gets caught up in the whole thing and has to start working for 'Little Inquisition' - a magazine company. Everything seems to go well, until The Elder One opens his grand shopping district and threathens to close down The Inquisition before it even has a chance to grow. Lavellan soon finds herself at the centre of the conflict, unaware of the danger from Solas, the sweets store owner. Anyway, its a Solavellan story alright, but it also features all the other companions. I just wanted to know if the stores and shops as well as their names seem appropriate for the characters. This all seems so silly and fun.

I like silly stuff like that. And the stores are awesome, though I always imagined Cole working in a nug adoption center with Leliana :D

https://en.wikipedia...iki/Trypophobia

It's horrible and terrible and people need not google it if you don't like lots of small holes.

I'm definitely not Trypophobic, but a google image search for it goes a long way to change that.

Ew.

Eeeeew.

Why, people. Why.

I'm pretty lucky that there is nothing in a videogame that really hits on any of my fears. I remember threads from people whose fear of Spiders is so bad they just couldn't deal with them in game. IRL I am awful with spiders. Just no. I'm currently suffering as September is the annual BIG ASS SPIDER month and I've had many a late-night battle with my mini vacuum and those big ugly mofos. One landed on my head while I was trying to sleep and for the rest of the week I slept with my light on.

Nope nope and nope.

But in games I don't bat an eye. Maybe because they show up in almost every game I play. What is it with you designers and spiders!?

The only really bad phobia I have would make for a really weird game. I suffer from Tokophobia (and find it hilarious that I do so I won't take offence if you lol). So if anyone makes a game that involves being attacked by endless, heavily pregnant women. Then I'm out  or if I had to play as a heavily pregnant protagonist? Also out. Just out.

I have work to do, things to sort, bags to pack, TW3 to play. And yet all I want to do is create a a Sera-romancing female Dwarf in Inquisition. WHY?! Thanks to those trials I keep thinking to myself 'Well there's a bunch of trophies you haven't got now, so it's not like you're just playing again for no reason...'

No.. Must resist urge. I have too many unfinished DAI playthroughs, as well as the 4 times I have actually finished it. THERE ARE OTHER GAMES. LOTS OF OTHER GAMES.

But I've also not managed to finished an Inquisitor run with my Queen Cousland with Fem!HawkexIzzy world state...

No.

I have a Keep Question for those of you who have played JoH. I have a panel with all the choices hidden and I can't seem to get them to show up so I have no idea what the choices even are. Any ideas?

I'm not squeamish in the slightest, but some of those google image results under 'trypophobia' genuinely did make me want to throw up. Ew.

Sympathies with you guys who have it, that sounds awful :(

I think it's what you choose to tell people about Ameridan? Whether you tell everyone the true story of who he was, or just let the world go on thinking he was some snobby Orlesian bloke? (Basically just what you pick when you go and chat to Kenric after finishing everything.)

Fade tongue! You experienced actual Fade tongue!

I'm so jealous of everyone's Solas-related dreams. I almost never remember any of my dreams.

I had a REALLY weird Solas dream - the only one I have ever had. It was a mixture of DAI, The Sims and a horror game.

Basically, the premise was that the Inquisitor/me and two companions were dumped into this wide, open-world area. I only had control of my own character, but could speak to Solas and The Iron Bull as if I was playing the Sims. So I started walking for a while, until I saw a single house in the distance. I went there, stepped inside, only to see it entirely empty and broken. Spooky, even, because I had talked to a person beforehand.

Curious, I looked for loot, but found nothing. Once I stepped outside, I suddenly found myself surrounded by multiple houses, each and every one of them really creepy and dark. Fog started to appear, too. Both Solas and Iron Bull simply muttered something about finding another place to rest. What really spooked me were the mutliple NPC's that told me I had purchased a piece of land in the near area...so I started to get there as fast as I could. The fact that Solas told me "This place is full of haunting thoughts." didn't help at all to calm my nerves, haha. So yeah, I found the piece of land and a semi-constructed house made out of thin walls. It looked ugly, broken down and dirty. So, naturally, I went into built mode and fixed it up. Sadly, I couldn't built anything else because I had no money left.

I went into story mode again, approached the single bed in one of the two fully constructed rooms, clicked on an icon that said 'cuddle with Solas' and waited for the cuddling to begin, only to be reminded by the 'game' that you can only cuddle in a two-person-bed. Bummer. I clicked on sleep instead, went to sleep, and once I woke up I looked outside and saw that somehow, someone else had built a house directly next to mine. I approached the curious little thing made out of hay, spoke to the NPC there, looted their house, contemplated about what I could do to earn money myself, was told the game has encountered a weird bug and needs to shut down...and then I woke up.

Bottom right one is what you decided to do with the information when you talked to scholar dude at the end. For example I decided everyone should know the truth so the panel says "Shared the Truth" and has a picture of an elven mage's face.

I said it before and ill say it again ,so far Bioware always let the choice if someone gonna die or no to us...

Loghein first... someone they made you dislike , but someone you dont really know , who kill ppl you dont know . It didnt really felt personal

Then Anders, someone you got to know, or even love, on of your own companions killed so many ppl , this time Bioware made it personal . And the choice is yours.

Then Blackwall ( i know he cant really be compared but it felt even more personal somehow , may be cuz he was lying from the beginning)

Then they clue us that we may be able to save solas, i do not think they will do this unless they indeed intend to give us the option to save him.

I've had a few dreams about Solas..

One I was trying to convince him to return through some communication device in Teldrassil forest from WoW,

Another I told him I liked his wrinkles around his eyes when he smiled,

The other was.. explicit.... and involved him wanting to do something that was named something Elven (which I can't remember).

Oh the things I reveal to you guys .

Picks for top and wrinkles :P.

Mostly yea, but Iron Bull is sort of an exception to this in that we make the choice which decides if we'll have to kill him, but at the time we made that choice we had no idea that was the choice we were making. So we still got the choice, we just didn't know it.

Trying to keep up with this thread is impossible! I've been gone a weekend and can't hope to catch up. Anyway, I know this is a few pages back and someone might have mentionned it already, but I wanted to chime in anyway. With that outfit, Solas looks like Abelas and the rest of Mythal's guardian, and I don't think it's a coincidence (unless they'Re just reusing art assets, which... they might, but meh). I agree with the theory that Solas was one of Mythal's guardians once, one of her wolves, as is seen so much in her imagery. He's become that again, I think. After all, he raised the veil once as a consequence of her murder...

I agree, I think something is up with that. Something isn't right. In DAI, he is adamately opposed to drinking from the Well, doesn't want Quizzy to drink, persuaded Abelas to leave, and later after the Well, calls Mythal a "creature" when you ask him about what the Elven Gods were. Now all of a sudden, he is all pro Mythal again...Mythal was the "best" of them, etc. If you drink from the Well, Mythal apparently knew the password to the sanctuary. So I'm thinking he's still under her control again somehow. He is still himself apparently. But, he did absorb her power after all and we don't really know what kind of effect it is having on his mind. Maybe Mythal was once a force for good, but has fallen now that she is hell bent on vengeance for her murder. Explains why he seemed both sympathetic and suspicious of her at the same time. I don't know, I just think there is a lot more going on that we don't know.

To me both tiles are unlocked, but that is basically do or don't choice.

I'm not 100% sure about that no spoiler showing to DLCs, but it kind of makes sense. They added those tiles in Keep September 1st if I recall right.

I know everybody hates me saying this, but I really think he's going to die, and if any option is available to us in which he doesn't, there will probably be dire consequences, and Lavellan will probably be pulled into it, if she chooses to still be with him.

what I can imagine:

*impending elf doom (veil collapses), Solas's millennia of betrayal and manipulation finally rears its ugly face to bite him in the ass*

*if Lavellan redeemed him and convinced him of the wrongness of his ways, joins him in his doom Romeo and Juliet style*

*Solas and Lavellan's spirits are forever one, roaming the world together for new wisdom, even after death*

*queue everybody exploding from the feels*

edit: Lavellan's choices in Inquisition effect if you can die with him, be with him forever, etc. he has to have been convinced that everyone is a person. Your quissy has to have chosen to change his heart at the end of Trespasser.

I think u are right and i love the spirit are forever one idea,oh my heart.. edit out of likes but here's  <3

Odd dreams last night. I only remember bits and pieces.

My Lavellan enters a busy tavern, it seems like a party was going on. People were dancing and laughing, but one corner of the main room was dark. A red velvet couch was against the wall. Lying on the couch was a pale elf. He was wearing no shirt and black leather pants, no shoes. He had very long black hair. His eyes were yellow and seemed to glow as he watched her move through the crowd and over to him. He smiled as she approached, tiny fangs peaking out from under red lips.

He sat up as she sat beside him. "You smell like him." He said.

"Like who?"

"Fen'Harel. You have his scent all over you. I know you haven't seen him in months, but the scent lingers."

I don't recall the rest of the conversation but at one point he turned to her and placed his ice cold hand on her cheek, looking into her tear filled eyes.

"What has my brother done  to you?"

"Who are you?"

"That is of no concern to you."

Eventually they got drunk and he bet her that by the end of the night she will have forgotten all about the dread wolf and they will end up in bed together. She laughed at him.

Meh..that's all I remember.  Falon'Din I'm thinking. He looked like a heavy metal vampire. :-P  Needed some glitter.

I just realised I didn't talk to Kenric after defeating Hakkon with my Female Lavellan, which for some reason is the only Inquisitor the Keep will register choices for. That'll be why it's showing up hidden. My bad for rushing through JoH and Descent with her prior to Trespasser's release. I HAD SOLAS ON THE BRAIN.

Am I going to have to wait 24 hours since my Like quota was reached so I can get them back again? Because that's like, another 8 hours. Boooo. Why do you deny my love BSN?
