Because I'm a terrible person, I went and scribbled on that mural of the sleeping Evanuris (like the true conspiracy theorist I am in Paint, and in red, defacing it in a most horrific fashion with my handwriting). I am pretty sure that thing that looks like eyes in the black circle represents the Titans.
How am I already out of likes?
Anywho, I like this ![]()
That's because other people don't see the cute fluffy side including Solas himself.
Yea, I think that comes across particularly well if you pick the option where you say you never thought he was the sort of person who would do something like that.
But what if you can get him and his giant wolf form on your side to fight with you? I mean there are seven gods to kill if they aren't already out.
Which reminds me, I'm still really nervous about how he said he "had" plans for dealing with them. As in his original plans were ruined or altered and untenable by some other factor, or outside force (you have to watch this man and his verb tenses, he is very specific). Maybe they're already out and causing him problems, maybe the only ace he had left was the orb, and now the only thing he cares about is removing the Veil because that's the only thing he feels he can "fix" (ugh, idiot, moron, no no no, plz just let me handle this).
I noticed that as well, but he also said at one point in the convo they are banished forever which is also oddly specific especially in a convo where you are talking about him taking down the veil. I'm thinking at this point there's more than just the veil keeping them away, but idk what it could be ![]()
And now I just got the banter where Dorian calls Solas a special and unique snowflake. I love that one.
Me too! I also really like all the dialogues where Dorian comments on something Solas doing as being a Tevinter technique only to be set straight by him. Their interactions are all around awesome. Also the one where to stop dwelling on mistakes of the past and focus on the present. That one always amused me (after I knew about Solas that is).
Quick Q for you guys. Is it possible to romance Solas if you've chosen to spare the Gray Wardens? I'm hoping that's not sabotaged now. I've gotten nothing but approval so far, but now... Not sure how high it has to be for the romance.
Yep yep, I did that. I also never let him kill the mages in his personal quest. I really like that they made it so you don't have to mindlessly agree with him on everything in order to romance him ![]()
You know, everyone goes on about how all of Solas's plans inevitably fail.
That's not quite true.
Solas planned to push you into position as Inquisitor. Success. He planned to get you to close the Breach. Success. He planned to take out Corypheus. Success!
And later, in Trespasser, he plans to lure you to him (despite being very close and certainly capable of just walking his own hind end over to you in the first place but of course it's Solas and he has to make it difficult) so that he can save you from the Anchor. Again, success.
It's only when Solas tries to change the fabric of reality that he fails and fails hard. Maybe we should have a chat with him about that. Just work on those small, achievable goals, Solas...
Wtb more likes! But yea these are valid points. Basically he should focus on being the person behind the scenes pulling the strings instead of trying to do things himself ![]()
