Have you guys seen the new Trespasser tiles in the Dragon Age Keep?

 

I can only unlock two of the three tiles (disbanded the inquisition + attempt to redeem Solas). Does anyone know what the first tile is supposed to be?

It reminds me of Skyrim where you can bind yourself to like twenty different entities.  You are Mythal's tiny Well gremlin and Solas's vhenan gremlin!  And then they fight to the death for gremlin ownership...or something.

I never paid attention to that in Skyrim and was like "CHAOS WOOOOO!" I think the only one I didn't agree to was the cannibal god.  Because gross and creepy.

That quest is amazing.  You can lure the priest there and be all 'Yes, I am fellow cannibal yes indeed.  Bow? What bow?  Oh, you mean this bow' *shoot everyone in the room*

I've been wanting to try an archeology/Indiana Jones-related AU for a while now, but I can't seem to get started on it, and anyway it's better that I not try for more than one fic at a time. I have enough on my plate with my post-Trespasser fic.

I didn't intend to, but I started writing about my Lavellan's past/firt love so in addition to Solavellan stuff or Inquisition-set stuff, I'm writing about events of years earlier. They'll all connect in the end, but it's been fun with these building blocks of sorts. Getting super attached to your own characters.....

I've always had to laugh at that aspect of TES. Let's do another bargain with daedric Princes! Splitting the soul? Pbffffft! When all of them will be fighting for me at the end, I'll just slip away through the back door!

 

(actually, I totally stole that aspect for my own trickster OC. It's just too hilarious)

I am waaaay behind on this thread, but this expressed my thoughts as well.

Beyond the fact that I am not a huge fan of Romeo and Juliet (or similar such narrations...sorry ), the loss of the character within the DA-verse would highly disappoint me. And I am also a huge fan of "friend"-Inquisitor. Actions, reactions, being somewhat equitable across all PC choices, is a hope of mine. For better, and/or worse, depending on said choices. That doesn't mean I don't think the romance should come into play - not in the slightest. The romantic in me, most certainly would adore something befitting regarding the choice to romance him. I am just wishing that all options get quality and relevant content. If the writer(s) decide to go further with this storyline.

Frankly, I am all "angst" out. I don't expect much specificity in any Solavellan story conclusion. I could end up being completely wrong, but I don't wish to set myself up for expectations that clearly don't end up being met.

As for the romance itself, it's funny, I had my fingers crossed as we prepared first for the game, and later for it's epilogue:

1) Don't let the romance end in heartbreak (i.e. death, breakup) - 0 for 1

2) Don't let him be some sort of god like figure (since those generally turn out well ) - 0 for 2

3) Don't let him become a villain. (Dammit!) - three strikes! (I must be mental - kept making PC's to romance him.)

he's pretty sexual as a villain!  I like that we can romance him. 

 

But again, my idea of villain is "Who ever disrespected me" and telling me that they are going to kill me is disrespectful. Let's be real. He's not mustache twirler so I wouldn't call him a villain perse- but his manpain is literally apocalyptic so....antagonist? But I'm in it for the whole, messy, despairing ride.  We'll see how it ends. I just don't want it to be bad.

I tried to roleplay a righteous warrior the first time I played Skyrim, not realising exactly how boring that would be (it was my first TES game). Daedric quests, the dark brotherhood, the thieves guild... yep, I was missing out.

It really is.  It's so easy to not pay attention to the story in those games -- at leat for me it is -- that I had no trouble just sowing chaos. Riding from town to town on my demon horse and my Sloth(from the goonies) as a companion. Best game.

I played through Trespasser twice, but it is still all hidden. I don't even have a tile for Trespasser. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It really is.  It's so easy to not pay attention to the story in those games -- at leat for me it is -- that I had no trouble just sowing chaos. Riding from town to town on my demon horse and my Sloth(from the goonies) as a companion. Best game.  

 

I never laughed so hard as when I got that katana(the demon sword that whispers to you) and just slaughtered an entire town.  

 

Well, I shall always remember how I've made it rain flaming dogs on a small village in Cyrodiil.

 

Sheogorath still remains one of my most favorite game characters EVAH.

Do you have a big "hidden"? tile? If so, click to see if there are choices available within. I had that issue with JoH about 2 hours ago. It just said "Hidden" until I locked in some choices.

 

Trespasser I have, but just that first tile remains hidden and people say it's Iron Bull related.

When my girl dies they're all going to be fighting over her soul. Meanwhile her spirit is going to do some epic pickpocketing.

I think I managed 'haughty but good altmer mage' for five minutes.  I've been a sneaky, sarcastic altmer thief ever since.  Favourite part?  Donning the Thalmor robes and walking through the Embassy during one of the quests.  And then getting to give orders to the guy gaurding the Solar.

EDIT now that I think of it: Whether Solas is a straight-up villain or an antagonist is basically up to the player. If you choose to stop him no matter what, he's the villain. If you try to redeem him, you're in opposition but he's not in full-blown bad guy territory.

My tile for Trespasser is tagged "hidden" but I'm still able to interact with the tiles that I unlocked (Bull loyal to the Inquisitor, disband, and redeem Solas.)

Nope they are still all hidden for me. I don't have The Descent, so I have 2 big hidden tiles. Both tiles have more hidden tiles underneath. I have the slider to show spoilers switched on also. I even did a resync. Poo. Thanks though. 

 

Edit: nevermind it's working now. However, I took Bull with me and he didn't turn, but both of those tiles are still hidden...

Reminds me of the thread about Josie's romance, someone said they thought the reason people were ok with Solas not having a sex scene was probably since he's otherworldly we view him as being less sexual. Of course I told them I was pretty sure that wasn't it and all they needed to do to see that was to wade in here a bit
