I have never read or watched Romeo and Juliet. I've had to study/seen performed quite a lot of Shakespeare and yet I've never touched that one. I have no desire to ever go near it. I know how it ends   that's enough for me.

 

If we want a Shakespearian ending then I vote for the homoerotic film version of The Tempest that my old school teacher thought would be helpful for us to watch before our exam. I failed that exam because the image of a bunch of naked blokes dancing around which had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PLOT was burned into my brain.

So Solas and Inquisitor meet and then... suddenly for no plot reasons a bunch of men in campy sailor suits all appear and start dancing around. 

Hooray!

Seriously, I forever hate the guy who made that film adaptation. Just... WHY!?

 

 

If I ever get anywhere with my Adaar playthrough then I might have him go down the Stop Solas route. Solas wasn't loving that guy from what I remember. But then.. I always find it hard to not end up trying to befriend the guy. I like being friends with all my companions  spread the loooove.

That is a good question.  No idea.  I THINK if you romanced him and broke up with him at the end of the DLC you just would have to put romanced noone and friends with solas?   What your Inquisitor says about it is pretty final "Speak no more of it Solas" and he will respect that. So then jump ahead a few  years to DA4, it would be weird for people to mention it in main conversation.  Same as Solas.  

 

That's my guess as how it will go. 

 

I guess we'll see when all the tiles are working properly.

My guess is it might influence some dialogue or maybe cutscenes, etc. Like the tile choice for whether Hawke approved of Anders' actions, except maybe a bit more involved if the Quizzy is the protagonist or has a larger role.

I remember in ME3 in order to try and influence the Illusive Man you had to take a series of certian dialogue options througout the game, and your paragon/renegade choices would effect some of his dialogue with you. Will be interesting if they do something similar.

Yeah.  I have a hard time seeing them being THAT set in stone especially when you are making the decision without ALL the details. It is likely it may effect the beginning of play and dialogue choices as you say.  Your demeanor about him.

 

But I imagine the actual choice will come later once you have a better idea of what's going on and can make a fully informed decision.

This would be awesome. It would mean we have Inky in a position to be making choices  Definitely wouldn't be an NPC in that case.

There's a mod that allows m!Lavellan to wear Solas' default outfit.  It's a misc file in the Dorian outfit for m!Inquisitors mod.

I messed that one up so I wound up having them marry for political reasons into an open relationship. I would've had them elope.

If you brought in another character I think it would be hard to try and ask them to encourage a romance choice.  Maybe we'll get more tiles or maybe it's what someone else said that the romance tile goes away and you just hit default friend state if you chose to redeem him.

Derek Jarman. Someone uploaded the end of his version on YT and there are those dancing sailors.

 

I can remember nothing of the play and when I try to remember all I can think of are those dancing sailors in that film. And seeing too much full frontal man nudity. 

Sooo not the thing to show a class of 16 year olds.

 

 

I was wondering about some of the romance options in the Keep. Because I'm thinking Dorian will show up in the next game, I was wondering about his relationship with IB. It's not an option in the Keep is it? I wonder if it'll ever get mentioned again because it was made into something more memorable in the Trespasser ending.

As for breaking it off with Solas. I wonder if it'll just be like dumping any of the other LIs? Basically it'll just act like you didn't romance them and you Keep slide will just need to be change to show that.

I love how, from a solely artistic perspective, the Quizzy is the main focus of the redeeming slide. Or, rather, the place where the ANCHOR was is the focus, framed by the bright circle. Why? Because Inky becomes Solas' one and only anchor.

At some point, the choices close off to you. I said I messed that one up. But my outcome was the best I still could do, which was let the young couple still be a couple, but she's married in an open relationship for politics.

You're probably right.   The redeem/kill option may over-ride the romance. Which sucks.  But I think the writers underestimate the power in THAT story.  Crossing my fingers that they keep it because it could be pretty ridiculous and over-wrought.  

 

Well, PW did say that IF they create more DA, Solavellan will get some sort of closure, so I don't think it will be just a matter of simple choice override...

Hmmm...So this is the Dragon Age Indoctrination Theory? I don't know. Seems a bit far fetched...right up there my Inky is Andraste and Solas is Shartan time pretzel mubo jumbo. And what's this about Leliana and a lyrium body? That's interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I hope that both routes allow you to change your mind as your play through DA4.  A redemption route could turn to kill, and a kill route to redemption.
