Hmmm...So this is the Dragon Age Indoctrination Theory? I don't know. Seems a bit far fetched...right up there my Inky is Andraste and Solas is Shartan time pretzel mubo jumbo. And what's this about Leliana and a lyrium body? That's interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure about all of it.  But it does jive with something bigger than Solas.  If something even marginally close to this happens I'm well on the way to Solas getting resolved early cause we got some real big baddies on the horizon ;)

We JUST started learning about Titans.  It took three games to get to Solas.  By that logic they should be the thing we have to deal with them DA5.  Just a theory anyways.

It's possible. While I try and stay reasonable with my expectations, I really dig the idea of double protagonists. It would be super-cool, IMO.

Truth is however that new protag may perhaps have an option to encourage Lavellan to not give up on Solas or persuade her to fight him at all costs. An interesting option all things considered, though I'd definitely prefer for my Inkys to make that decision for themselves.

That is an interesting idea. If it is a new PC, maybe the IQ appears as an ally or antagonist. Redeem!Quizzy turns on you and pulls a Bastila or something. A lot of directions they could go.

So they FINALLY fixed the "what if you kill Leliana at the Temple of Sacred Ashes".  If she doesn't become divine, she disappears and reveals that she was a lyrium ghost. So you could have lyrium ghost(spirit) as divine.

Edit: Of note - this is now canon for me because it's awesome.

Also because youtube sucks, the last slide says "The Lyrium sang thought into being. Now time is stale. The song calls elsewhere. Until needed again, I am free."

I hope that both routes allow you to change your mind as your play through DA4.  A redemption route could turn to kill, and a kill route to redemption.

Shut your mouth!  Omg the horrible feels.  That would make it so complicated.

That would be excellent.  The feels and the storytelling from it would be wonderful.

Well, they've made it rather clear in Kotaku Asks (http://kotaku.com/ko...uisi-1694123219) that they at least think that ability to betray yourself is a pretty cool idea :)

Mike Laidlaw: "As to multiple protagonists? Absolutely fascinating and, yes, we have discussed it some. There are a lot of challenges in terms of helping the player identify with more than one created character, but it's a long way from impossible. I thought, for example, that the weaving stories of the GTA V protagonists created a really interesting flow in the story and the gameplay. I agree that betraying yourself would be super cool, so long as "the player" version of you didn't end up feeling like a chump."

Does anyone know of an artist who does tarot cards that would be open to commissions?

I know paperwick does tarot card commissions but it seems that her commissions are temporarily closed. :(

Another artist I know of who does tarot card commissions is madnessdemon, though you have to check the waiting list first.

(Here's their commission price on deviantart.)

Well, you can kind of do that with Hawke, though I know their sacrifice was willing, or kill an Alistair that is in a romance with the warden.

Still, it's a interesting idea to have an option to oppose your own previous protagonist.

Paperwick is great but she's closed at them moment, and I think she has a backlog to get through first for when she opens them again.

EDIT:  'd

Very interesting :)New "overthinking it" theory by Ashe/Lady Insanity

Wooooooooooooooooooow.............

That would be really messed up if what's been going on is Thedas is caught up in a war between the Titans and the Evanuris.

Wow.

That's when the DA4 PC is like, "Guys, couldn't we just have a nice Blight?  Maybe some red templars? You know, let me warm up before dealing with the F***ING ANNIHILATION OF THE KNOWN WORLD  <_< "

I can actually buy a lot of it. :) *pets the Lap-Kitten of Theory-Crafting*

Namely, the Titans trying to wake up, and them and the Blight being intertwined. Leliana being a lyrium ghost was actually one of the crucial points, as I see it. While they had plenty of players complaining about Dead! Leliana not carrying over, they went with the Sacred Ashes in general as a half-assed explanation. This full-assed explanation carries much, much bigger implications. Furthermore, Oghren's reveal that the Temple of Sacred Ashes is built around the biggest and purest lyrium deposit he had ever heard of, the mural of Mythal being in the torn-up Temple, in addition to the nine sacred mountains and the speculation about Skyhold all suggest that the Elvhen built a temple on top of a Titan, likely for purposes of mining.

One thing that also fits the 'Titans are manipulating events to defeat the Blight' include Caridin having visions from the ancestors about the golem process, and the curious location and structure of the Anvil of the Void. And the Void does seem to be connected to both Titans and the Blight.

I need to watch the video a few more times to see what else jives or doesn't fit. I have a notion that Solas is accelerating his own plans because the Titans are waking up. What confuses me is that there are suggestions that the Titans are connected to the Fade, and there are suggestions that they enforce reality. The Whispers in Red Lyrium are found in the Fade, but then, they're written in Titan's blood. I can see either the Evanuris or the Titans doing that. Sundered suggests the Titans, as it sounds like the Evanuris were just flat trapped. Almost like the old story of Fen'harel luring the gods to the heavens and the depths. I don't think he could get the Titans to shift around to form a pangaea to get them all in one grab, but whatever.  I want more information, dammit.

It reminds me of the alternative meaning for the conversation between Nightmare and Solas.

SOLAS: Nothing/The Blight is inevitable.

Interesting side-note: The Joining was invented by a collaboration of different cultures. A warrior from the Donarks (those jungles north of the Anderfels) has the idea to consume blood to

Last night I was drifting off while my husband was playing through meeting Dorian in Redcliffe. He decided to engage my sleepy brain in lore discussion, and I came up with a new theory.

How Solas could still be Shartan: A Time Pretzel

The Inquisitor is actually Andraste. Yes, I know Andraste is female, but legends get twisted over time. The stained glass windows in Redcliffe weren't put into the game for no reason.

Why would the Inquisitor come to be known as Andraste, the Jesus figure of the Chantry? Varric's book about the Inquisition! Varric's book could become the Chant of Light. The language in it could have evolved over the centuries due to translation in and out of ancient Tevene.

Since we are going to Tevinter in DA4 maybe we'll get mixed up in time magic again and boom! Time pretzel. If we're lucky we'll get to have that alleged affair with Shartan too.

Getting really crazy: Maybe instead the PC is a voice Andraste hears in her head when she entered her trance-like state. The PC in DA4 could be controlling/sending messages to Andraste (that could be the 2 different PCs angle). I really think the Andrastian faith is going to be picked apart just like the Dalish faith was in DA4. It's only fair.

Okay, enough crazy.

This makes sense to me. I love it. It's.... awesome.

Well, here's a Solas gif courtesy of solas-an:wub:

That is an interesting video, although I'm not sure all of it quite fits yet. It did make me think about the concept of duality though. It's vague in my mind still, but the way she spoke of the titans and their hive mind made me think of immobility. Order in its purest form, in that everything is the same and nothing change. An utopia of sort, but with no free will. On the other side, we have beings of the fade, a world where your will changes the very fabric or reality. Spirits, and to a lesser degrees, the ancient elves could be said to be ever changing, chaos in its fundamental form in that it's ever evolving. In such a fabric, free-will becomes might.

Then, in between you have Thedas itself, who struck some sort of precarious balance between the two, but it's not a balance that can stay that way forever. Too many forces on both side are pulling on the very fabric of reality.

Also... could the forgotten ones be the titans?

And yes, I know I'm rambling *sighs*

I haven't read all of the previous pages of the thread (yes, yes I'm a slacker) but does anyone know what the first choice in the Keep for Trespasser is supposed to be?  I can choose the other two (what happens to the Inquisition and redeem/kill Solas) but the choices for the first tile are both hidden for me.  I'm very curious what it's supposed to be.
