I haven't either but I've watched Trespasser videos a lot. I played Life is Strange episode 4 after Trespasser and the feels....

Part of it is I couldn't decide who to play next. I have Seramancing Trev mage concept ready. I now have a m!Lavellan concept for Cassandra. And I have a soon to be Rift Mage Lavellan who is right before Skyhold and intended for Solas.

Between these three, I'd go for Cassandra.

But you know who's my second love   whom I still need to take to Tresspasser.

I have been leaning toward Cassandra. Trespasser increased my Cass crush and reminded me of how adorable she gets when you flirt with her. Also her face...because well.

Agreed. However long it takes!
tumblr_nsc9qyiSvz1r470w9o1_250.gif

Okay hopefully not that long. Seriously, I am bad at patience. I'll give them 82 years tops. And now my brain is making out of place Titanic references to the Solas romance.

Solas: I'll never forget you.
Tiger Festival: <blowing a whistle angrily after him> COME BACK!

Lavellan: He cut off my arm.  He saved me.  In every way a person can be saved.  I don't even have a picture of him.  He exists now... only in the Fade.

So......I've been replaying Origins as I said to romance Zevran for science......and I have to say....

Romancing Zevran has to be like, the best post-Trespasser Solas rehab ever. Every time I have ever played Origins I have always romanced Alistair. He is like my Solas for Origins....but now.....

Solas left me so heartbroken that I was able to romance someone else.

I also felt bad after seeing Cullen in the Mage Tower again. It has been a long time since I played that scene.

I think after this Origins play through....I'm going to have to roll a Quizzy to romance him to make myself feel better.

And this is where one starts to realizes you may or may not have a problems in dealing with your fictional video game relationships.

I have been meaning to replay DA:O because I've never done the Zev romance. Alistair was my go to guy but now I feel like I need to have romanced all the Elves.

I've been replaying a Trevellyan and listening to Solas as a friend is interesting. Also picking up all the hints. Never really lying....but straight up hiding the truth.

*sigh* This romance. How it hurts my heart. At least I know Alistair has a Queen somewhere (maybe she's back from finding a cure), Hawke returned from Weishaupt to her broody Elf and well, Lavellan will get her chance one day. In the mean time, Trevellyan is getting her Commander and a dog and maybe a nice house somewhere in Ferelden. Though I think even she wants to save her friend.

I still can't bring myself to play the game. Not the main game, not the DLC, nothing. I haven't played since I finished Tresspasser.

I've been in this boat with regards to Inquisition. I have loaded the game up several times....tried making a new character or load a previous game......and I just can't.

Sometimes I think the only way I will be able to play it is making a character that Solas hates....because otherwise it is really painful to think about playing through some of the Solas scenes and conversations.

And I know there's the option of "Well, don't click on Solas and talk to him" but that's just not possible.

It's Solas.

One can't simply not talk to Solas. Even if he's pissed.

I swear, that look she gives you at the council right near the end, it was like....<3 That Cassandra smile, that pride.

Though I couldn't help spoiling myself and the Sera end slides/wedding are really, really cute too. My one real hesitation there is Vivienne might become Divine.  Though I could probably wiggle Cassandra in there.

And now we know. I was pegging him for a Slytherin, but I'm actually relieved that he's a Ravenclaw. I'm a Ravenclaw, too. B)

I find pissed Solas 100% more sexy, so a PT like that would be unbearable.

And if I try not to talk to him: "Is that a serious question?" Won't work.

Meh, it's all a healing process. I have years to replay the game.

I'm actually going to make Vivienne Divine once I finally play. She's grown on me, and no way she's going to let Solas mess up her world. I feel she'll be a really strong ally, if not a friend, to my Lavellan in the next few years.

I doubt it's anything, but I was wandering around Emerald Graves with Solas and Sera in the party and I got this banter (this is almost all on Solas' end except for the second to last line - Sera hardly said a word):

sYwNjXQ.png

I wonder if this pertains at all to Solas' plans for the future? The "No one cell can betray all your secrets" thing kinda makes me think it's wise of us to disband the Inquisition. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

So I'm just thinking out loud. I don't think he considers a romanced/friend Inquisitor an "enemy" per se but what happens if Lavellan does come between him and his goals? I'm very very curious if he would apply this technique to a romanced Lavellan too? I would think in a less aggressive manner but his behavior pattern matches this.

"When your enemies pursue, you vanish." (Lavellan has been looking for him, only shows up in dreams but vanishes as soon as she reaches out to him.)

"When they become complacent, you harass them". (Lavellan maybe takes a break from getting nowhere and when a sense of normalcy returns to her life, he meets her again, maybe tries to get her attention again.

"When they are weak, you strike in earnest." (I don't want to believe that he would do anything to hurt her but maybe he'll find a way to make sure she's not able to interfere with his plans?)

I'm just throwing stuff out there. He does seem to have a pattern. I wonder if Lavellan should anticipate this and try to catch him some other way LOL

Sooo uh I'm a Gryfindor.

Where my kick *ss quissies at? XD

Solas: "Ah the veil ... so very thin here ... this one time in the fade-"

Quissy: "Shut up Solas. More magicy and less talky talky."

Using the popular primary house secondary house system (which is nice because it expresses more variety and nuance than simply 'there are four types of people lol'), I think Solas is a Raverin - Ravenclaw primary, Slytherin secondary.

In contrast my Inquisitor (and me as well, actually) is a Gryfferin - Gryffindor primary, Slytherin secondary.

This is a direct insight into how the Dread Wolf operates and thinks. He is speaking from personal experience. How else do you [general you not addressing anyone in specific] think one man and his followers opposed like six or seven god-kings and their vast armies? It also reflects his correct belief that large organizations and power structures inevitably become corrupt and filled with spies and enemy agents, hence the need to divide membership. This dialogue is there to show what he's done and what he's capable of.

These are the tactics he used in his efforts against the Evanuris in the past, and these will be his tactics going forward.

Okay, time to ponder something about elf physiology - we know that they're different from humans, they even supposedly have cat-like eyes (they see well in the dark, etc.).

I wonder if they have other cat-like abilities though?

Like... a cat can sleep even 20 hours a day. Yet, despite that, they can wake up almost instantaneously from a very deep sleep and AFAIK retain their physical fitness just by... stretching.

Like, if I remember correctly, a good bout of short stretching exercises works for them like half an hour of proper exercising for us (cats, I envy you so much  !!!)

Are elves like that too...? Especially ancient elves, with all the time spent sleeping or in uthenera?

*....imagines a bunch of elves, stretching like cats after a long nap *

Those are some very inspirational thoughts!

I personally really want them to have third eyelids. I don't know why, maybe for poetic third eyelid descriptions in romance scenes :D

Now I'm going to go read all about cat physiology for even more elven bodily functions in my HC.

Edit: OK, I just googled fun facts about cats and found this:

"Unlike dogs, cats do not have a sweet tooth. Scientists believe this is due to a mutation in a key taste receptor."

  No.

Well...now I can't help but to imagine Solas and my Lavellan sleeping cuddled and entangled together like two cats.

Which historical figure do you think is most like Solas? Someone who has done a lot of good and a lot of harm, but the main motivation is for the well-being of the people. Someone who is brilliant and has made intelligent decisions, but also someone who has made really dumb ones that harmed a lot of people?

Edit: I am actually thinking of some of the most powerful communist leaders. They mean well, but their lack of understanding of basic economics and human nature have caused a lot of deaths. On the other hand, they have some positive achievements despite all the negatives.

I can so completely relate to this I just want to wrap you up in a hug.  I even had to change my forum name (since it was the name of my Lavellen that romanced Solas, which I've just now gotten over enough to switch it back here in a minute)  I couldn't associate myself with any of it because I was so broken hearted.  In fact I had to stay away from this Solas forum for days after the heartbreak.

*hugs tight!*

*hugs back* Also, have a cookie!

I was on the forum the days after and I was hurt and livid... or as close to angry as my timid self could get. But I remember I didn't actually want to write his name. I refused to, because it felt like Solas was gone, so I stubbornly called him Fen'Harel in all my posts.

Time and writing helped me deal with a lot of the feels. Now, my one Solavellan song I listen to all the time is this:

(Yes, I have the music taste of an angsty 16-year old, shush!)
