I'll just add my voice to the appreciation posts
I really appreciate how friendly everyone is here, thank you for giving us all a warm, safe place to voice our thoughts ![]()
Yeah, Celene is excellent in her first few chapters - I found myself warming to her despite my Loghain-esque utter disdain of anything Orlesian. It, uh... well. You'll see, soon enough.
I feel like for me, the Orlesians are the inverse of the Dalish. The more I see of the Dalish, flaws and all, the more I like them. I liked the Orlesians best back in DA:O when I didn't know sh*t about them. The more I learn about Orlais, the more I wish I'd let Hakkon take first crack.
Do you guys think the majority of the fan base wants inquisitor back as the next protagonist or do you think they want a new character? I am just wondering because that can influence Bioware's decisions regardless of whether it makes sense plot-wise.

Hard to say. From what little I've gathered poking my head out into the BSN at large, most people at least want the Inquisitor to be the one who confronts Solas, and to have better control over the character than they did with Hawke.
Am I the only one who read that codex entry where architects were arguing over the colour of the gilding of June's temple as really gross? Like, disgusting levels of decadence and overindulgence in the face of others' suffering.
You have thousands of elves - most likely slaves - who are using every sap of energy to create an entirely new pocket of the universe where this building exists, for an unspecified amount of time - perhaps its existence relies on the constant power of June's subservients' energy - whilst these two architects bicker about the smallest of details. And nobody's really surprised or confused or sickened or upset about this. The architects themselves are completely oblivious by the massive mental energy and strain going on around them.
Like the whole scene left a really nasty taste in my mouth. I wanted to give both the architects the Sera treatment and stick them full of arrows, tbh.

I am just worried because as I was debating with people over whether the inquisitor should be the next main character, some of them said that Bioware said that the inquisitor's story is done. I don't know what that means.

In this interview, Mike Laidlaw talks about how Trespasser is the end of the Inquisition's story. It's not necessarily the end of the Inquisitor's.

So it looks like the people I was debating with misquoted the article.

It's an easy mistake to make. And I suppose you could conflate the two, but I'd rather not at this point. I mean, quizzy makes a point of saying, "We will stop/save Solas." Hard for it to be "we" if quizzy isn't present ![]()
Ok so for the next game we also get to have the option of doing the Sailormoon thing as a finishing move and aside from the item drops, we also get to see the demons turning into benevolent spirits. The more finishing moves we can manage, the more karma points we get.
Yes, please. The new PC (or the returning Inquisitor with their new magic arm) can have the generic hero name of "The Exorcist". It'll be awesome.

I myself am more rooting for... "The Executor"!
Okay, I know this isn't quite possible, since Executors (http://dragonage.wik.../wiki/Executors) have been established through some war table missions as observers and not-yet-enemies-but-probably-enemies-later.... But I have to be honest - I've been curious who they are for a while now.
In fact, I theorized way earlier that we may be playing young recruits into Executor ranks in future game: travelling the world, perhaps with a mentor, learning stuff, maybe even fighting against Inquisition (considering that Inquisition itself fought Gray Wardens - a factions of heroes from DAO - I don't think it as an impossible concept) and later perhaps deciding something important, like perhaps betraying one faction or deciding to join another.
Now that Trespasser revealed that we're not done yet done with Inquisition, I'm more of a mind that if we're going to get a new/second protagonist, we're going to probably be agents for Inquisition, but I haven't given up on Executors... yet. Uh, I want to know what they are!
I also wonder if any things touched upon, but never really expanded in war table missions (above-mentioned Executors, contact with Kal-Sharok, contact with Maevaris in Tevinter, etc) will in any way become relevant in future games?

When Solas confirmed that he killed Felassan, it cemented my mental image of Felassan wearing unbelievable amounts of fan gear when he went to meet him.
T-shirt with a wolf head on it, badly-inked "Slow Arrow" tramp stamp, plastic jawbone necklace, a backpack with Fen'Harel pennants spilling out of it, probably also one of those souvenir wolf hats with scarf-paws. We are but poor shadows against Felassan, the one true Solas fanboy.

You just gave me a brain-wave.
We've always assumed that the bizarre appearance of the Kal-Sharok dwarves (pale and somehow corrupted) had to do with the Blight. But now we know about Titans. What if, in order to survive the Blights, they formed a symbiotic relationship with a Titan in the way that Valta does in Descent? Their Paragons are immortalized in huge wall carvings like those of the Sha-Brytol, and the presence of a Titan would explain why they're so insular and reclusive, especially against Orzammar dwarves.
As for the rest, I'm 99% sure we'll see Maevaris in the next DA for fabulous Tevinter funtimes ![]()

I feel like someone needs to use this as a cosplay guide.
But most importantly, journaling from June on how he can't wait to see what the special surprise Solas has waiting for them on the next family vacation and that as an early thank you, June is designing and testing out fashionable knee-faces for armor for Solas.
Veil? Brutal

Also I like your signature.

Possible? Though there's also another thing I've been wondering about Titans - Soals made it clear that he banished or trapped Evanuris, instead of killing them. So unlike Mythal, they may have ended somewhere with their original bodies and I kinda wondered... what if thy were imprisoned in a Titan? Like, maybe a shell of one - but because they'e corrupted themselves with Void-stuff or whatever the Blight is/was, they reactivated it and are the source of that Titan's corruption?
I'm not sure about that speculation, but the "Whispers Written In Red Lyrium" (http://dragonage.wik...n_in_Red_Lyrium) may suggest that Evanuris may be somehow intimately tied with the blight and lyrium pollution.

I still can't decide if I would rather play my Inquisitor or not in the next game. I mean, it would be awesome....but there are so many possibilities of awesome if they give us a new character.
Imagine if they threw us for a total loop and let us play during the fall of Arlathan. There is a lot of possible win there.
So Patrick finally answered why Solas is female only.

Solas was intentionally written as straight to avoid the "Depraved Bisexual" trope because of how some people would view him.

well ... That's actually an extremely valid point. Dang.

At this point, I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not that he answered that question.

Well, that makes a ton of sense and is a thoughtful decision.
At this point, I'm not sure if I should be surprised or not that he answered that question.
It'll save him a lot of headaches in the future of people running to him and demanding he validate their headcanon.
(Whichever way that might have run.)
