While on Solas' artifact quest he says this about veilfire:

VecXtAn.png

I mean.. I know he said to the inquisitor that he only lied by omission (about being the Dread Wolf?), but Cassandra was the one to ask about the veilfire. Would he, of all people, have never seen it? It's even in the Vir Dirthara..

He may not have seen it.  It may only exist because of the veil.

Sadly no, but I wish they would have said it. He remarks that Lavellan is strong and that her muscles are an enjoyable side benefit. She asks if he likes them, he replies that he meant she must like having them and then remarks that yes, he DOES like them.

Solas the a*s and muscle man, haha!

:D I'll have to look around more to find videos for the flirts for the warrior and rogue! Eveeeerrrybody (that posts videos) seems to have used a mage (I used one too:D )

So, found this Road to El Dorado/DAI parody on Tumblr. :P

Had to look it up to get the beat in my head!

There was talk of stubble a day or so ago. I noticed while doing another run through Trespasser that as he turned his head a tiny bit of peach fuzz caught the light. So I saved a screen shot of it. I wouldn't really call it stubble, more like the thin fuzz everyone has on their skin. But I think it's cute. :)

**It's so much easier to see on my PS4, I think the image quality is better. But anyway, now that you know it's there try looking the next time you play :) **

I intended it to be :)

Edit: Ummm, let me elaborate. It's the beginning of the book and she comes across as very smart, cunning, and capable of carrying a delightful conversation. Which are qualities I admire.

I got u drosophila XD I loved Celene at the start and hated her by the end

I hated Gaspard at the start and hated him less at the end

So what do people think Solas is doing with his elven army he's gathering? And in the years that passes after the Trespasser events? Why on earth would elves even decide to join him if he doesn't consider them his people? Is he just using the modern elves for his own gain like usual?

Also I just realised how tragic it is that he can be in love with a dalish elf yet still consider his 'people' superior and worth saving. Unless he really was just using Lavellan because she was the first interesting elf that came along after he woke up.

yea XD well I think Lavellan goes well for him in this scene ( Even though I would never be able to pick this but I laughed so bad ) :

This is hilarious, and makes me want to roll a rivaled/assquisitor to go along with my goody goody diplo/ Solasmacing Lavellan. Kind of burnt out now for a while after the last ungodly long playthrough I just did, but angry Solas is too much fun. But definitely gonna do at some point, heh.

I totally gave up trying to catch with the thread , couldnt read it for 2 days and it seems that if i try it will took me 3 days so , i hope i didnt miss anything .

I was watching the fade kiss scene and it made me sad when i realize that at the begging of the game ,Solas was smiling like a lot, later on he was all grim and fatalistic . I like the smiling Solas , he looks careless...

On the subject of partial deafness and headphones, I found this. They're not exactly cheap, but if you get the kind with a replaceable cord they could last a very long time.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing. I will save some money and get this. Sadly shipping to the EU is really expensive atm.

But I put this into my bookmarks and will order it soon.

Thank you so much!

I'm sorry guys. I do have another question for you and hoping someone remembers. We as the player know the eluvian network Solas uses are the ones Briala used in the past. Does the Inquisitor know that in game though?

Me, writing fanfic where that info is needed? Nah...

Bioware have been pretty good at this in Dragon Age, though.  Yes, Alistair and Morrigan are both straight, but they're also both plot critical (although Morrigan gets more love from the game) so you get the option of a plot critical romance regardless.  Anders is bisexual so anyone can romance him (as is Isabela, who I would say is the Act II plot critical romance).  Solas - very usually - is plot critical and for women only.  Yes, he's straight, but he's for women which is still pretty rare in an AAA game.

Still like two pages behind but I want to say.  This.  As a straight female this is awesome.  I don't like rolling male characters, I'll play awesome games if they have male leads but it's always harder to connect.

I felt like this was a really good play for Bioware especially with the Gamergate issues.  Female only plot relevant romance.  I've always loved Bioware but DAI of the franchise stood out for me as the best example of a gaming company not just reaching out to some minorities, but all.  Female gamers are still not all that welcome.  So keep taking my money Bioware I have faith that future games will also include all this awesome.

Yeah it's tragic, but that's part of why I like it guess. Kind of mirrors Dorian and Alexius, in a way. Solas is indeed misleading and going to hurt a lot of modern elves, if he is just using them them to advance his goals. This is extra personal for a Lavellan, even not romanced, based on that alone.

I myself am more rooting for... "The Executor"!

Okay, I know this isn't quite possible, since Executors (http://dragonage.wik.../wiki/Executors) have been established through some war table missions as observers and not-yet-enemies-but-probably-enemies-later.... But I have to be honest - I've been curious who they are for a while now.

In fact, I theorized way earlier that we may be playing young recruits into Executor ranks in future game: travelling the world, perhaps with a mentor, learning stuff, maybe even fighting against Inquisition (considering that Inquisition itself fought Gray Wardens - a factions of heroes from DAO - I don't think it as an impossible concept) and later perhaps deciding something important, like perhaps betraying one faction or deciding to join another.

Now that Trespasser revealed that we're not done yet done with Inquisition, I'm more of a mind that if we're going to get a new/second protagonist, we're going to probably be agents for Inquisition, but I haven't given up on Executors... yet. Uh, I want to know what they are!

I also wonder if any things touched upon, but never really expanded in war table missions (above-mentioned Executors, contact with Kal-Sharok, contact with Maevaris in Tevinter, etc) will in any way become relevant in future games?

Haha, people with our issue are acctually surprisingly common :D

Sadly even mono sound is kind of a plaster for a bigger issue. We can still "feel" the sound coming from the deaf direction even with surround. Mono removes that aspect of directional sound which makes it "feel" wrong. Really, all sound engineers would need to do to fix this issue is making some of the sounds (dialog, footsteps, etc) play from both earphones but fainter on the side the sounds aren't coming from. That's how hearing works irl. If Solas was telling me sweet nothings on my left side irl I could hear it fine if not in noisy environment. Not as well as if he was on my right but he wouldn't be magically muted :D

One day, one of our kind will become a master sound engineer and fix all our problems!

Edit: I'm really off-topic. Sorry thread D: It's just rare to get these issues recognized as issues so I couldn't resist.

One last off topic, I promise ^_^

Interestingly enough not every game is this bad. I'm replaying DA2 and while the ppl on my left are way quieter I CAN hear them.

Back to Solas and how good he looks even when I can't hear him!

You just gave me a brain-wave.

We've always assumed that the bizarre appearance of the Kal-Sharok dwarves (pale and somehow corrupted) had to do with the Blight.  But now we know about Titans.  What if, in order to survive the Blights, they formed a symbiotic relationship with a Titan in the way that Valta does in Descent?  Their Paragons are immortalized in huge wall carvings like those of the Sha-Brytol, and the presence of a Titan would explain why they're so insular and reclusive, especially against Orzammar dwarves.

As for the rest, I'm 99% sure we'll see Maevaris in the next DA for fabulous Tevinter funtimes :)

I found it interesting relistening to banter yesterday(I always play a rogue so at most I'll carry one other rogue, meaning Varric often got the shaft and was definitely never paired with Cole).  Cole mentions something about Varric having a softer song than his people used to have.  It made me think of Valta and descent when they talked about the song of the Titan.

It made me think that in the time of Sola/what Cole is remembering the people were intimately connected with that song already.  So I don't think it was in response to the blight.  I think they started losing the connection sometime around the blight.  I liked the Lady Insanity theory(not all of it) but the part that theorized that Titans might have been like a hive order. The dwarves were all a part of the larger assembly and for some reason the elves severed that connection.

Edit for Top Solas

I know that one way the Inquisitor can learn of them is through Michel in the "Assigning Michel de Chevin" war table operation if you pick Leliana:

"Michel can do little for me in Val Royeaux's halls of power, but he knows about the eluvians controlled by the elves of Orlais. I'll have him working with Solas and our scholars, to discover all we can of those mirrors."

Seems to imply Leliana already knew. I don't recall any in game dialogue though. There probably is somewhere and I just never paid attention.

Are we not done with the Inquisition? I'm so confused about that because I can't keep up with everything that PW and co say on Twitter and I thought that I had seen something where he or someone else was all "We are DEFINITELY done with the inquisition."

This is more confusing than the Fade.

Not until the very end of Trespasser. Solas will tell you (not a perfect quote) "Remember Briala? She controlled this part of the network. One of my agents was supposed to take it from her but failed. I had to override the magic personally."

It is literally one of the last dialog options with him.

Anyone else curious about there being two intact eluvians around the same tower as the one Morrigan controls with two different versions of fen'harel's statues? I really wonder where they lead to and why two of Fen'harel.

Spoiler

No idea if this has been discussed before or if it has been discussed after the revealed information in Trespasser dlc.

I was thinking earlier of the significant of the Black City in the fade. Specifically its relevance to Solas. When you play "Here Lies the Abyss" and take Solas he is fascinated about being there without dying, and further expresses his awe at seeing the Black City and that it was "close enough to touch".

I just thought it felt like confirmation that the Black City is really important to Solas in some way. I know the theories are that is where the Evanuris are, but I think Solas' reaction to seeing the city is really interesting and relevant.
