The funny part is I want my Adaar to confront him more than I do my Lavellan. Adaar's completely screwed up over this, and would go to her dying breath to beat some answers and additional options out of Solas. The romance story for Lavellan and Solas might not be over, and that's it's own thing, but how can you not want to deal with Solas with the character that knew him? If it's just a case that they hated him and never talked to him and can knife him as any character, that's sad. For them. They're missing out on an incredible story.
It's not that I'm attached to the Inquisitor, necessarily, but the longer spanning story arc of "WTF, Solas."
I want my non Solas romancer to confront him more than my romanced one as well. Dealing with Solas goes way beyond just romantic intentions for me.
I still can't get my head around just how many people think that in the Inquisitor is totally useless now they have lost an arm. As if there has never been a videogame character with an artificial limb before. I CAN NAME SEVERAL OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD FFS.
And sure, a lot of those games are more Sci-fi and therefore have the tech for these things, but I feel like these people are forgetting that this isn't a 'true to history' medieval game. It's fantasy. If they can build Golems then my Inquisitor can get a new arm and not just the crossbow one. I'm pretty sure Bianca owes my Inquisitor her soul. If she really is 'ten times the smith that Branka was' then she can prove it.
I'm part of the Dual Protagonist vote. I love my Quizzies and desperately want them to play a part in dealing with Solas. But if we are playing a game in Tevinter, I want to play a Tevinter-born character. So goodbye to my Dalish elf heroes
- But I want to play as someone from the area. In that fab Tevinter gear. I may also try to not play as an elf.
I'm sure I can do it.
...
I'm pretty sure Dorian would be mad if his beau is hanging round Minrathous after he told him to not as well. It'd be cool if there was something like the War Table again where you could switch from say, inside the city where your DA4 protagonist is to the outskirts somewhere and that would switch you over to your Inquisitor.
Oh, or a Tavern! A Tavern in a remote location! You'd go sit down at the table as one character and the other would be sitting opposite, you can then select between the two and the camera would swing round to that one and they'd give a nod and get up, then boom. You're in control to go off. Certain characters can only go to certain locations. Maybe.
I've played a few games with multiple protagonists and it's something I quite like.
