Maybe both Blackwall and Solas will be LI's. They don't have to do equal gender ratios. I predict rage if they don't but that's the Bioware forums for you.

If Vivienne is not a love interest, that might be why they are waiting until the last minute to tell us.

 

And GDL's tweets are the main reason I think Solas is in also.

We are being awfully teased but on the other hand Blackwall is the most ignored character when it comes to real info and tidbits. I feel like I don't know anything about him.

David Gaider has been pretty insistent that we not expect equality.  Fair is that everyone has a choice between two LIs, and fair is all they promised.  Since there are twice as many male companions as there are female, getting two more male LIs wouldn't surprise me.  Honestly, I'm sort of hoping it is Solas and Blackwall at this point.  I would love Vivienne too but Blackwall has edged her out for second favorite (I wouldn't be entirely heartbroken over Viv/Blackwall either... can we just have all three?).

We'll see what happens, I'm hoping for both Solas and Blackwall. But I don't look forward to the backlash if Viv isn't an LI. It would be hard to celebrate if half the forum is P!ssed off.

well, considering what happened to straight female Shepard in ME3, I think it wouldn't be so surprising for BioWare to decide to give not balanced LIs. (with the DLC, even with all the criticism about Sebastian, straight female player had one bonus LI in DA2. so nothing strange.)

 

surely that would give credit to a chat I had with a friend, where he thinked that in a shi-fi setting males like more having a romance than in a fantasy setting, while for females is the contrary, and appreciate more romance in a fantasy setting. (mmm...we should not talk about RPG after rum....)

I'll be expecting pitchforks and fire...lots of fire. I would prefer two male LIs. Aimo's comics made me like Blackwall alot more.

Viv/Blackwall < Sad Panda at no Solas. Solas is the one I really want to be a romance. The others are secondary. I'm not even a big fan of Cullen. It would be a hard choice who to romance if Solas is not one.

Well, speaking as someone who's already had one straight male Inquisitor set up, I would like an option for a straight female Inquisitor that I actually like (I was never a fan of Cullen. Not that he's an uninteresting character but he's just never been my favorite) and I definitely like Solas and Blackwall. As much as I love Viv, it could simply be she doesn't want to both with a relationship.

Yes!  It caused a great deal of excitement. 

 

The only thing that would be disappointing for me about Solas and Blackwall is that lesbians would have fewer options.  Lesbians almost always have fewer options.

An "expanded Pearl" mod had a threesome with Duncan and Cailan.

 

If Vivi is in, I want to romance her with a qunari. She's probably the only woman whose romance I'd really want to see.

Same here... and the thing is, I can't remember a single tweet/comment/anything that teased Viv being romanceable. So it makes me wonder. I think it would be unfortunate, not so much for the straight dudes because, frankly, they've always gotten more (outside of DA). It's the lesbian players I'd feel bad for. Still, for personal, selfish reasons I wouldn't mind Blackwall and Solas... I just wish they'd tell us already. I had kind of hoped after the Varric reveal that the rest of that info would come out soon after but... apparently not. Anyway... to help keep the optimism:

 

1. Gareth's tweets : you will not be disappointed/I don't know what I can say. Enjoy. in response to questions asking whether Solas will be romanceable.

2. That Swedish interview - Solas is mentioned specifically as an example of companion approval in regards to romance, along with Casssandra.

3. Patrick's mystery sweetie - We know he has a boyfriend, and every tweet he's sent out about his party names the Bull, Solas, and Cole. If IB (or Cullen) is his boyfriend, why not mention him by name? If Blackwall, you'd think he'd be in the party...

4. A Bioware editor (? I don't recognize her) tweets that Solas is her boyfriend. Allan likes this tweet. Random tweet about Solas being her boyfriend is liked by Allan. Turns out, said tweeter is quoting an editor commenting on the Pax Demo.
