Random thing I found this morning about vallaslin and how the elves got it wrong. It's interesting, and I could see it making sense.

 

Also I love the art on that blog because their Vir is similar enough in appearance to my Lavellan that it's like seeing a slice of her life done by someone else.

I like it!

 

This is such a lovely concept. I'm really excited to read more.

Hey guys i have a question what is the meaning of Leliana's "We have what we truly need" in the end cutscene? I only played a Lavellan who romanced Solas so i always thought that what "we need" was the inquisitor itself and more sweet if u romanced him like she was the only one who could save him from himself,but that happens with a friend/enemy inquisitor as well.The inquisition itself doesn't count as well cuz keep or disband,same line. I wonder if there is something else that we don't know.Just a thought throwing out there.

Hey guys, could someone tell me why I can't trigger romance with Solas? I'm at Skyhold, have just done the quest where you go to Western Approach with Hawke, and the Haven fade scene with Solas hasn't even triggered yet. Judging by the way Solas greets me, his approval is at Neutral/Warm (probably because I conscripted the mages). Do we need to be friends before the cutscene triggers?

I haven't heard that song in forever and a half! 90s alternative rock was awesome! I can definitely see it relating to Solas too!

HA! That is a perfect example right there. I dont blame people for thinking solas is revolting. Think what you will, what he plans isnt pretty. But how many of those people that think he is a monster for wanting to save his people also completely wiped out the geth (tranquil non-people) so that they could get the shep breath scene at the end of the game? I know I did...even with legions sacrifice and how much danm feels that gave me. One of my fave characters. And how much I think that that unit does have a soul. And EDI...I am a monster too. Oh no...

 

I went through the effort to reconcile the geth and quarians and I LOVED Legion, and then rendered his sacrifice meaningless once I chose the red ending.

I felt bad, really bad... Though I tend to give myself credit and think I had more than just the idea of Shepard living to make me do that...

 

Like between blue, red and green, I hated the synthesis ending, so I was left with control and destruction... I had issues with control, while Shepard sacrifices herself to take control over the reapers and it may seem the Paragon ending it made me feel uneasy that Shepard basically plays god.. Also, stupid manipulating star child is anti-red-ending although we see Anderson the one taking it and TIM taking control ending.

 

Now I'm not sure if I believe myself or that I'm just a very selfish person who finds excuses in meta-gaming

 

If DA4 would have EMS I would have 4000+ of it and pick the red ending in which everybody I care for survives.

You probably aren't at a high enough approval if you haven't even reached the Haven Fade scene, and yeah, you need to be at a certain approval level.

 

Edit: Just keep asking him about himself, Solas loves questions!

You will get the scene if you increase his approval. Take him with you on the field and activate some elven artifacts or do the little quests to help people in the Hinterlands. Ask him all the questions you have available in his dialogue wheel.

That's awesome! I always thought that you missed a lot with the romance path about Solas, but the more I watch the low disapproval videos the more I realize how much you missed with the friendship too! Although to be fair, I think each path lets you discover different parts of Solas's personality!

Hearing this again after not listening to it for so long has put me in a hellspiral-y mood again.

 

I've stopped watching Trespasser videos and listening to the OST so that I could get feels again for when I get the game and play it myself.
