I've seen people on twitter ask Patrick Weekes and other devs if they can comment on the Solas excerpt but I haven't seen a reply. Seems like they're avoiding it.

That's what I suspected about the Solas quote. Sometimes I feel a little bad that the devs can't even make jokes without every word getting pulled apart. I mean, telling us would alleviate that but it's not the devs decision so.
Can't blame anyone for loving that voice though.

But after thinking over the 8 abilities limit, I'm actually okay with it. I really don't think it'll be as bad as most people are making it out to be. I will save my judgement of it until I've actually got my hands on the game.

For the sake of everyone I really hope they announce them soon. I'd rather not see it to the point where the fanbases get upset and vile towards each other.
Honestly, it's the naysayers that keep me grounded. I'm the kind of person who feels most comfortable when I can keep my feet on the ground about something. Oh, I'll let myself get carried away... for a little while. Then I start to get uncomfortable and anxious, and that's when someone coming in and saying, "Uh, guys?" is most helpful to me.

Solas thread i started my frist replay of Origins on my own Origin account ( i used to share one with my brother) and i didn't realize how much i missed those stinking dogs of Ferelden XD i refuse to refresh the twitter thread for next 48 hours every 5 sec i would rather let my Female Amell fall in love with a dashing assassin and save the mages from Uldred , it is less painfull . Because everytime time they tease the LI's my heart breaks a bit . In meantime enjoy the KEEP !

Yeah that's totally understandable! I guess that's about the only bad thing being firmly in the "I believe" camp, is seeing everyone else's doubts. No big deal though since I did it to myself. I just have too much optimism at this point xD
Yeah this is getting old fast. Also, I feel like they're backtracking hard on those comments. Their explanations sound more like "NO no no because this can be explained this way!" even though the LI explanation makes more sense. I'm confident in Solas as a choice and I've been skeptical about Vivienne for a while, honestly. They've teased about Blackwall a few times with wording when they talk about him but never once for Vivienne. I mean "rumproast, but only if you're the gravy", "likes drinking and long walks in the rain, "if you're sad that you didn't get to be with Duncan...."
I'll personally be disappointed. I like Blackwall but I like choice equality more. And I'm not very interested in a tragic or semi-tragic romance. There's no way Blackwall isn't heading to his Calling soon, unless we find some way to cure it in the game. Even so, I'm also not that interested in having three big male warriors as options and probably wouldn't do a playthrough for Blackwall. I'd be happy for his fans, though!
Quick FYI: a couple of the Devs are periodically tweeting out Access Codes to the Keep Beta, via pictures. Keep an eye on the twitter thread and you might get lucky.

I'm like this too. It's fun to get excited at first but I'm really most comfortable with measured responses, especially if I feel there's reasonable doubt. I'll just be here in my little pessimism corner where it's safe.
@Allazor: That's a good point. I have a lady Cousland who is halfway through the Landsmeet quests. I just struggle with leaving the Solas thread. I realize I'm probably really obnoxious though, so I will go play my video games.
All I know is that the devs need to bring out those last LIs...cause Solas is literally showing in my dreams....and they aren't PG, not even PG-13

Well, If both Solas and Blackwall are LI's, I think one of them will be bisexual and the other one straight, and this would mean straigth females would get 4 LI's while lesbian females and straight men only get two. :/ I don't really like this idea. Straight females already got Sebastian as additional option in DA2....

I think it's more likely that one of them is race-gated. If not both, since that would kind of make up for the ratio being uneven. If Blackwall and Solas are both LIs, the two race-gated ones may very well both be male.
I do believe one of the devs said that the ratio didn't have to be even, and they would make sure everyone had at least two choices? If I remember correctly.
I know they said this, but it's still not a good thing in my point of view. Giving one group twice as many options as the other one isn't fair at all.
