Now that I think about it, how did Solas know that the inquisitor wouldn't die? If the qunari plot didn't show up right in time, by what other coverup could he have swooped in to save the day?
If there wasn't any other reason/excuse for him to manipulate into meeting her, would he have let her die?
Ugh I can't handle these questions. Too sad.

I was... not prepared for the feelings this brought up in me. 
Typing over here as well.
But, man, how are you SO productive? I can't get over how everything I write comes out in small, laborous chunks
For calling him out, what's the troubling part? How to lead to that part of the dialogue, what she says, or something else?
I know this is late but......basically I find myself kind of stalled in writing conversations between Lavellan and Solas because it's just so tempting to have her say things that would actually be ooc for her just solely based on the possibility for cheesey play on words.
It could also just be me being frustrated that Solas went past the line of my Lavellan being willing to try to make it work.
Oh That first one! I saw it when it was a work in progress with just the first one and ugh this hurts even more. 
I know this is late but......basically I find myself kind of stalled in writing conversations between Lavellan and Solas because it's just so tempting to have her say things that would actually be ooc for her just solely based on the possibility for cheesey play on words.
It could also just be me being frustrated that Solas went past the line of my Lavellan being willing to try to make it work.
If it's more a matter of wanting to add in things that your character couldn't know, I've played around with that slightly by having her make statements that coincidentally carry more than their obvious meaning to him, but not her. For example this: http://archiveofouro...g/works/3820345
which is one of the few times I've managed actual fluff/something veering toward the mildest of smuttiness. 
But the whole concept was this 'hey, she accidentally stumbled upon a question with waaaaay more meaning than she understands'. Maybe in calling him out, you can have her accidentally say something with similarly charged meaning that she couldn't possibly know just yet? One idea.

I've wondered the same thing! I know it's been discussed before but I love the idea of him carrying her to her room. Unfortunately, I think it's more likely that she was already asleep and found him in the fade when she talks to him. I've been trying to think of a good scenario for Solas to carry her to her room just for my fluffy headcanon's sake. Something about her falling asleep in the rotunda while reading or listening to him tell a story..

I've wondered the same thing! I know it's been discussed before but I love the idea of him carrying her to her room. I've been trying to think of a good scenario for Solas to carry her to her room just for my fluffy headcanon's sake. Something about her falling asleep in the rotunda while reading or listening to him tell a story..
I would imagine my lavellan being more likely playing wicked grace with Varric (since it's next to Solas' room) and drinking with him and falling asleep after getting a little drunk and Solas carrying her in her room because of that by Varric's request XD I could Varric go to Solas like '' Hey chuckles... you might want to consider bringing your girlfriend to her room cause she is a little bit wasted... ''
and then I could imagine Lavellan talking some weird things while sleeping and when bringing her in her room after I could imagine Solas returning to his own room and laying on the sofa and going to the fade to see her if she is doing okay sort of XD

It's not actually clear in the flirt/romance dialogue with Solas when you talk to him, but for other Inquisitors he actually tells you that you appear to dream with a lot of focus and actually found HIM while you were both sleeping at night. So when you initiate the conversation in the rotunda, your Inquisitor is actually asleep at that point.

oh cool! I didn't know cause I always ended up romancing Solas without talking to him with the other inqys. I did romance bull and cullen as well but never finished those ones after falling for Solas haha so good to know that's cool... I can still have my fantasies though... hehehe...

Okay...I took a weekend to relax and keep reading WoT2...it's remarkably hard with a toddler. I came back this morning and there is almost 50 new pages...anything worth going back to read again?
Also this guy is really not helping my need for them to announce DA4. I would pretty much have to argue with him on all points. Dragon Age is THE GAME that I wait for. There just aren't a lot of story based games/RPGs out there right now with a similar game style.

Just a question :
So we know Solas is strictly into elves because it made super-sense story-wise. But...why?
I kind of get what they mean, but Solas does not held the Dalish in more esteem than he does the Humans, Dwarves and Qunari...He pretty much puts them in the same bag of "shemlen" who become "people" only because he falls in love or comes to really appreciate Quizzie. So if elves and in particular Dalish are not "his people", not "the People", the ones he wants to save and sacrifice everything for...why does he only fall in love with an Elf? 
As I said, I still kind of get it, Solas being very paradoxical anyway (see:the difference between the way he talks about "us" to Sera and "you" to Lavellan). But I still find interesting that even though he rejects modern elves, he only dates them and no one else
