Again....I agree. I think Warden + Zev off adventuring together all this time is adorable and happy and wonderful.

This is pretty much the reason I sent my Lavellan off with Zevran.

He is like, Grade A best person to be with after officially realizing you're not going to work out with Solas.

 

So happy my warden fell for Alistair.

I love Viv too.  She's the popular girl in high school who actually gives no f***s instead of just hiding it behind teenage bravado.

 

She does have glimmers in game where she expresses feels other than superiority, but she either quickly hides it or turns it to her advantage.  Like entertaining powerful guests after Bastien's death.  I still think she's a horrible Divine, but I can't help but admire her sheer confidence and audacity.  

 

 

 

I want a happy ending for either Warden/Alistair, or Solas/Lavellan.  Ideally both.  If I get neither, I'll start sending eggs with painted-on angry faces to Edmonton.

Argh, I have the exact opposite problem with Leli. I can't roll a warden which seems to suit her. I might try a Cousland, or an Amell, next time.

In terms of good/bad canons, my Canon B is actually pretty ok: Brosca is off with Zevran, Alistair's on the throne, Loghain was spared from the fade, and my Hawke from that playthrough was designed to be a massive ass so it's not too big a loss (besides, Isabela is probably the most well-adjusted of the romancable Kirkwall crew, she'll endure). Sadly, Solas bucked the trend by being Solas, ugh.

Yeah, I would of loved for a little more, but I think it's a bit unrealistic for Vivienne to let her guard down that much for the Inquisitor no matter how much you get along (which incidentally, my Lavellan definitely did not).

 

I like what the Nightmare demon says to her, her gravestone in the Fade, her conversations with Solas that reveal her underlying fear of her magic and rejection, and her obvious loathing of Morrigan for uprooting her so quickly, making her realize just how unstable her position of power is.

 

Her romance could of been sweet too, but it felt rushed. It's strange with Ameridan's romance we only got to see a few snatches of it, yet I found it much more emotional than Viv's.

Kind of.  I was waffling for years between having Amell stay with Alistair or run off with Zevran after she got disillusioned with the Wardens.  She's a very strong-willed person, so I was worried that she'd just walk all over Alistair.  I finally decided on Alistair after seeing him grow up so well in DA:I, so my Tabris became the Warden for Canon B.

 

 

So far my Lavellan is the only one to suffer heartbreak. My Amell is with Zev and seeking a cure to the Calling, my Hawke is with Fenris and helping Varric run Kirkwall with her Templar brother safe and sound, and my Trevelyan is going to marry Bull. My Lavellan is the one with a broken heart, but she's a comtesse, her clan has political power and she's got the best of friends anyone could ask for!

 

So much this.  Yes, Lavellan probably loses the most of my PCs, but IMO she also gained the most over the course of her game.  Especially in terms of friends.  She did more living in those years with the Inquisition than most Thedosians do in a lifetime.

Zevran is a tricky romance though. You have to be careful what you say. And to get him to "propose" to you is the tricky part. You have to refuse the earring he gives you and then accept it later after he refuses to sleep with you because he's conflicted. After that, he's yours. Lol and in DAA my Warden returned to him in Antiva. Best happy romance for me. Fenris is great too and also takes some work, but they are my fav romances for my female human mage.

I don't like refusing the earring, it's out of character for my Tabris, and it feels like you're trying to get too much out of him too fast. Poor guy barely has a handle over his feelings as is.

 

It's funny considering Zevran's background how he is one of the more stable relationships in DA.

Ah, I have two seperate canons for my canon Warden, which differ at the point she chose between Alistair and Leliana (an act that has numerous knock on effects and results in the Alistair worldstate having him remain Warden, do the Dark Ritual, Surana killing Loghain and sparing the Architect and Lavellan becoming the Inquisitor.  The Leliana worldstate has Alistair become king (and married to Anora), Loghain spared and killing the Archdemon, the Ritual refused, the Architect killed and Adaar becomes the Inquisitor.)

Yeah that part bothers me a lot. It's so hard to refuse and hurt him, but it's the only way to make him realize he wants more from you than sex. I wish it could have been done a bit more gently.

But for f's sake if the only time we see a resolution of Solas and Lavellan is in a cameo where we get no choice on how she responds, or if it's just her running, game-controlled, to a fallen Solas who whines that he loves her as he dies I will flip s*it.

 

(this is late but) THIS! I've said it before but I can live with a new protagonist if necessary. But my Inquisitor better be a key person in helping to foil Solas' plans, and she had better be present when he is confronted, and I better be able to control my Inquisitor when that happens.

Hawke/Fenris is my canon, and they're my favorite couple, but Hawke was left in the Fade.    My Hawke is just entirely tragic, he lost nearly all of his family (Carver is still out there), and then he died trying to protect what he had left.  He died well, and I think he needed that, but it's so sad.  I continue to hope Fenris will be okay.

 

My Surana is doing the best out of all my canon protags so far.  He's running around with Zevran, and may or may not have a Calling cure.  He's good.

 

Canon Lavellan romanced Solas, and I don't need to explain how that's going here, lol.

 

Second Lavellan romancing Bull has basically been my warm fuzzy refuge.

I seem stuck on male elf romances with human female mages. Solas broke that pattern.

I'm stuck on male elves too! All my canon romances are elves, but I played Tabris with Zevran, so Hawke is the oddball.
