Strangely enough though, I hate getting my teeth cleaned but for some reason I have never been bothered when they actually have to do something and it requires getting a shot in the mouth. Like, I will sweat all nervous and crap for a teeth cleaning, but be chillax as all get out when it's time to get a filling or something.

 

I don't know what that says about me. I don't know if I want to know what that says about me.

I have a wisdom tooth  coming in! It's been giving me headaches, but other than that it's coming in normally so there is zero fluffing way I'm getting it removed. That shite hurts.

 

Yeah, it is. I'm a little bummed that he also smiles at the Inquisitor he hates, but oh well, at least we got to experience his lovely smile.

 

Not trying to make you panic or anything, but my tooth came in normally about 7 years ago and gave me no trouble until this summer.

The procedure is not too bad if you have a nice dentist, I was eating cake with the other half of my mouth 2 hours later. It was hard to enjoy it, but if there's cake at work, god dammit, I'm going to eat it.

See, I'm usually okay with everything but the needle (I am a weird creature biologically, prone to reactions to needles, including faints) but the process of fillings or whatever, that doesn't bother me. However, last year I had to have three fillings. First two? Needle happened, everything went numb, all was well. The last one? It took three needles full of the stuff before I stopped feeling the drilling/poking. And my face didn't regain feeling for like six hours. On top of that, it hurt really badly for an entire week afterward. Why is one corner of my mouth so...rebellious? I think I'm nicknaming it Fen'Harel.

I dislike needles as a general rule, but I can remain stoic for anything that isn't coming towards my face!

Mythal completely taking over Morrigan would be really sad.  I hope it doesn't go that way.  And Morrigan changing her opinion about Flemeth doesn't necessarily mean she would be completely open to taking Mythal.  When she learns the truth about the Well, she's glad the Inquisitor took it instead, when that happens.  She values her freedom, and while she might be willing to take power and knowledge at a price, I don't see her being willing to lose herself without good reason.  The only time she's offered herself up was when she thought Flemeth was taking Kieran away.

 

And hope you're feeling okay.  I lost all mine and any wisdom they might have contained years ago.

 

Actually, Mythal doesn't necessarily have to take Morrigan over completely, if their objectives align, she could retain a big part of herself. They could fuse into...Myrrigan? Morrithal? Mythaligan?

I have a horrible orthodontics story. I used to have a Calpernia gap in my teeth which I hated. So in high school I wanted to get them fixed. I still had two baby canines and it turned out the adult ones were in the roof of my mouth. They pulled the baby teeth and I had surgery to expose the adult ones and I had to get braces. They pulled them slowly into place throughout 3 years with the use of metal wires. :x It wasn't that bad......I'm a tough cookie. And probably TMI.

 

But yes, Solas has an adorable smile!

I actually know a lot of people like this.  They don't like the actual shot or insertion but are okay afterward and curious to look. Sometimes I look very briefly, but most of the time I'm trying to breathe slowly and bide time until it's over without feeling sick or faint-y.

 

One time I got an injection and I keeled right over and couldn't as much as sit up for a good half hour. I've also fainted from a blood draw. I can often make it through with just some queasiness and lightheadedness though.

 

This is also partly why I've never tried to donate blood, even though I'd want to.

Did you guys not get given a numbing agent before the needle? My dentist puts it on a cotton bud and leaves it in my mouth for a few minutes and I don't feel the needle at all! The very corner of my jaw (the part directly below your ear) has started to hurt so bad it almost feels bruised. I hope it's not one of my wisdom teeth .

I'd purposely act sick if I had a doctors appointment to get it done, or I'd eat a lot and be like "Oh oops, forgot!" but then when I was 15 I had a pretty major surgery and after that it was just no big deal (nurses came in and tried to bleed me dry taking my blood just to have to put new blood in). Of course face needles still bother me because it's my face, but other than that no big deal.

 

Can you imagine if the Inquisitor had a blood problem? Everyone is lucky the mark went to someone competent.

I did get slightly better when I wound up in the hospital and had to have an IV, then poked daily a few times, then had to have both injections and regular blood draws for a while. Slightly better as in I'm not running away (most of the time) anymore, but maybe just escaping with minor symptoms. And then before they declared my treatment done I had to have about 18 vials filled for testing.    I'm just prone to this because of my low blood pressure and being unlucky enough to have reactions to needles that...lower your blood pressure.

 

Thedas is very lucky that someone like me did not receive the Anchor. I mean, my Lavellan and I do share some traits, but 'standing up might make me feel faint' is probably not the best trait for someone whose job is to save the world.
